Blair to become 'Messenger of Peace'

Blair looks certain to become a peace envoy in the Middle East after he steps down as Prime Minister tomorrow. In his strongest indication yet that he wants to remain a major player on the world stage, he told a Downing Street press conference he was ready to do "whatever I can" to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian issue.US President George Bush is believed to have personally lined up Mr Blair for the role. Many experts expect Mr Blair to be appointed the envoy for the so-called Quartet of the US, EU, UN and Russia which is seeking to establish peace in the region based on a “road map” towards two states of Israel and Palestine. Asked whether he was expecting to be offered such a post, Mr Blair said: "I think that anybody who cares about greater peace and stability in the world knows that a lasting and enduring resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian issue is essential. As I have said on many occasions, I would do whatever I could to help such a resolution come about. (Daily Express)

"10 of Weapons indicates the curtain coming down on an actor's long and illustrious career on the boardwalk. The chance for him to walk the boardwalk of 'all the world's a stage' is certainly a distinct possibility" (Daily Merlin 16th June 2007)

The 10 of Weapons in my eyes is NOT a good image to have had pulled ... it is an ominous sign ... one which would not surprise me if it spells bad tidings for Tony Blair.
