Innocent Man Walks Free ...
Daily Express Headline; says: ''A DOCTOR seized in Brisbane over the alleged car bomb plots in London and Glasgow walked free yesterday after 25 days in jail. A terror charge against Dr Mohammed Haneef was dropped after Australian officials said it was flawed. Dr Haneef, 27, had been accused of “recklessly supporting” terrorism by providing a relative in Britain with a mobile phone SIM card. Australian prosecutors built the case alleging that the card was found in a blazing Jeep Cherokee which crashed into Glasgow Airport. But the card was, in fact, found at the home of a suspect in Liverpool. Australia’s Director of Public Prosecutions Damian Bugg said: “On my view of this matter, a mistake’s been made.”
