'The most obvious of trees'

Look to the boughs of the most obvious of trees
Seek that which is lost where it is least expected to be hidden
Along the branches of hereditary seeds
Where the leaves never fall
Yet hide a garden from watching eyes
Sitting in silence the owl resides
A witness to the worry free play of the little one
As she serves up tea to her imaginary friends
Aunties & uncles with saints and angels
Amongst the chaos of newly painted walls
There is where observers should look to find
They would most surely see that smiling face alive and well
