'We Wish That We Could Tell You More'

Sky News, says:
The father of missing Madeleine McCann, Gerry, has returned to the UK for a couple of days, and his first task was to thank British police officers who have been helping in the search for his daughter. He received a standing ovation at the annual Police Bravery Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London last night and said he and his wife were now fully aware of the police's "sterling work". He is likely to spend the rest of his time in the UK organising administration for the Find Madeleine fund and put provisions in place to allow the family to remain in Portugal. The resilience of Gerry and wife Kate, continues to be remarkable when you consider the pressure the couple are under.

Writing in his blog on the Find Madeleine website Gerry says: "As most of you will know, there is a lot of misleading information being published, both in the press and on the internet, about the events leading up to Madeleine's disappearance and the criminal investigation.

"We would like to give more information, especially about inaccurate and hurtful reports, but cannot for fear of prejudicing any subsequent court proceedings. The Portuguese police have made it clear to us that all witnesses should not divulge or discuss the information they have provided. Kate and I are, of course not party to all of the information coming into the inquiry for sound operational reasons."

Five of Pentacles - adversity
Knight of Wands - affiliation
Seven of Pentacles - variance

The Knight of Wands indicates a figure on a white horse desperately trying to stop from falling over the edge of a precipice. Below it are consuming flames. Above it two birds of prey do battle. In another image a figure hides in a cave attempting to catch the falling pentacles. It holds a whip in its right hand. In the final image two figures are seen in a sunny landscape. One figure is catching the falling pentacles and placing them in a tidy pile whilst another looks on. The watcher carries a red nose.

Make of it as you will. It is not apparent from anything revealed why this situation goes up and over yonder vale and hill. Why it continues its longevity when it could be over so soon and so easily. Two images denote conflicting views on the need for finance. One indicates many different campaigns to raise funds; the other shows adversity and lack of funds. The two are divided by the horseman on the edge of the precipice. The Knight of Wands denotes an affiliation between the two sides. But just how high must the collected pile become before a satisfactory conclusion arrives?
