And ...Pinocchio's Nose Grows And Grows ....!!!

Daily Express Headline 'We Are Hours Away From Madeleine Solution'' says: 'Detectives were just “hours away” last night from solving the mystery of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. Portugal’s top police officer Alipio Ribeiro made the announcement as sources revealed the net was closing on new suspects in the case. It is the first time such a high-ranking officer has spoken publicly since Madeleine vanished 106 days ago. Mr Ribeiro, head of Portugal’s Policia Judiciaria, said senior officers were preparing for a major breakthrough. They are working on the theory that Madeleine died on the night she disappeared. The announcement follows reports that detectives know the identity of her killers.

It is believed the suspects have been tailed for days by undercover police in the hope that they would lead officers to Madeleine’s body. According to one Portuguese newspaper report, “investigators have in their hands a lot of information and even know who is behind the death”. Another reported that “significant developments” had taken place which could lead to friends of Madeleine’s parents facing new questioning. Mr Ribeiro said of the police operation: “It is a very dynamic investigation. I am optimistic because I believe we will end up understanding everything that happened.”

Hinting at a major breakthrough, he said: “In the next hours one of the keys of the case will become clear.”

OPINION
What a total contradiction (as was anticipated) with what was reported as being said by Mr Riberio earlier in the day (well last night for you Brits). Totally poppycock! More of the macabre ... especially as it is being stated in the Portuguese Newspapers that the UK newspapers were reporting things which the Portuguese police were NOT saying.

Sack the script writers (especially the one with the wooden nose which is still growing) Mr Pied Piper, or if it isn't you ... that someone somewhere who is permitting this utter bollocks from being printed. It is becoming embarrassing reading now ... totally farcical in my view.

IF (and it is a BIG if) any of this were true ... I doubt very much it would be permitted as headline news as it is very likely to tip off the would be 'murderer' that the police were on to them. This is stage play drama , nothing more .... old news maybe early on in the investigation ... discarded lines of the investigation provided to eager bees as titbits of 'news' to keep this gutter press reporting alive ....
