~ The 8 of Crescents is placed at the centre of the working. The image depicts a black robed figure with shepherd's crook held in its right hand wandering over a wooden bridge. The scene is set during night time. Behind the robed figure is a single tree. The bridge leads over a fast flowing river.
~ The focus is the image of Madeleine right .... insights to see if the persona signified by the 8 Of Crescents is significantly linked to the situation ...

'Fragile ground' ... I hear quite clearly. A key link it seems in the chain of those involved in the mystery ...... .... interestingly there is the significators of The Emperor and The Empress linked to the left of the 8 of Crescents (in the position of the past) ... and the 3 of Crescents shows the 3 of Crescents ... a hand reaches out to grab one of the three crescents thus this image is the significator of the actual taking of Madeline as the 3 of Crescents is intuited as the three children of the Emperor and the Empress. To the left of the 3 of Crescents is the 8 of Weapons ... which is the significator of the locality where Madeleine currently resides ... a place known to the Robed figure in the 8 of Crescents .... the image Temperance to the right in the future position is the significant event in the future deemed of relevance in previous workings .... the Shining star appears to be located between the two mountain peaks shown in the image at the time intuited in this future position. ....

The Crystal casting unearths a fragment of Fool's Gold upon the face of the robed man ... the intrigue and the confusion in the media speculation perhaps designed amongst other things to hide the identity of this person ... there is a fragment of granite too suggesting he is 'the wounded healer' perhaps? Or linked in some way to the medical profession. He is thus deemed to be linked to Gerry & Kate in the past ... and it is another association to which he is more loyal too that required him to divulge what their history he knew. It could have been a professional compromise under duress ... .... .... he appears at one time to have links in high places as well as perhaps knowing Gerry on a personal basis? Had there been a confrontation in the past ... disagreements appear to fill the air around the connection between the 8 of Crescents and the Emperor ... all was not well when these two were once linked maybe professionally? There is a Turquoise crystal at this intersection and also the Sun Stone ... they begged to differ perhaps on something that was outside of a professional situation. Behind the scenes they could have shared different views? Perhaps trust was broken ... perhaps Gerry's trust was betrayed by this man?

The crystal pattern has a number of permutations requiring a 'contemplation' ... there is the wheels within wheels once more ... and also a definite need to 'hide' something of real significance which has nothing to do with Gerry or Kate's 'guilt' or their 'speculated involvement' in the disappearance. This is sensed as something else. A snippet of vital evidence which has been kept out of circulation even away from the PJ perhaps. This seems to have a connection to the Keeper of Staves and the Maker of Staves ... something diplomatic and government linked? The prevention of a leak of vital information? Something which needs to remain hidden for 'security reasons' ?? This is speculation only ... well ... not totally ... I glean a hint of the significance of the 8 of Crescents personality ... and a link perhaps to behind the scenes in government and thus the necessity to keep this under wraps whatever the consequence ... whatever the speculation that is created as a result of apparent cover up?

The robed figure appears to have played a key role in the early stages. Perhaps an informant to someone ... providing vital details to those who perpetrated the disappearance ... the time and the place .... the significance of Madeleine and her family ... there seems to have been the sense of a 'mole' here ... someone trusted .... being around them in the months before able to watch their movements without suspicion .... all the time passing on the information to others .... in readiness for the disappearance ... ???

The robes and the crook convey a masonic or a secret society status to this man amongst other things. He has a powerful status ... one which will enable him to become part of the wheels within the wheels and aware of the many irons in the fire ....
