A Word on 'Yowie'

Yowie is the somewhat affectionate term for an unidentified hominid reputed to lurk in the Australian wilderness. It is an Australian cryptid similar to the Himalayan Yeti and the North American Bigfoot. Rather confusingly, "Yowie" (or "Yowie-Whowie") is also the name of a completely different mythological character in native Australian Aboriginal folklore. This version of the Yowie is said to be a bizarre, hybrid beast resembling a cross between a lizard and an ant with big red eyes on the side of his head, big canine teeth and large fangs. It emerges from the ground at night to eat whatever it can find, including humans. This creature's characteristics and legend are sometimes interchangeable with those of the bunyip. (Wikipedia)

Earth the Alien Cattle Ranch

Everyone has their own ideas regarding extraterrestrial visitations to Earth. It is true that we are being visited by either one higher advanced civilization or a combination of many. The variation in types of UFOs seen seem to say we are being observed by many different cultures, and at various stages of science and technological advancement.

There have been sightings of UFOs since the first handful of cave dwellers was smart enough to witness it.

It was not until the light from the first atomic bomb escaped our planet into the galaxy that we became very important enough to the extraterrestrials to come here in large numbers for observation, testing, and influence.

What we know is that they are interested in what we eat and our health because of cattle mutilations, crop circles, and human abductions involving medical procedures.

They are monitoring us as a species and influencing us on a daily basis through telepathy. It would seem that they are very concerned with preserving the human race and keeping us from obliterating ourselves in nuclear holocaust.

As advanced, a civilization as they must be it is likely that they know the eventual outcome of ours because surely they have the ability to see into the future due to their abilities to travel from dimension to dimension as seen from their ships being able to vanish before our eyes. However they do not seem to be concerned with our over populating the planet and actually may be helping the process.

One theory to consider is perhaps their goal is to have the human population explode beyond the twelve billion mark. It is true that we humans are geared for such overpopulation because we are just advanced enough to prolong our lifespan beyond a limit of our natural life cycle. Yet we are not advanced enough to even explore the idea of moving some of our populous to habitable planets in neighbouring solar systems or euthanising those either no longer able to mentally function or filled with incurable disease waiting for death. Thus, it seems to me that their intentions are to let us overpopulate.

We are a species of animal that is smart enough to prolong our lifespan but ignorant enough to lack the ability to know how to morally deal with over population. We are the perfect being for breeding massive numbers of individuals and superstitious enough to base our morals on preserving life at even the cost of letting millions suffer in pain and anguish waiting for death from diseases we cannot cure.

Thus, this scenario may be just what the extraterrestrials wanted from the first human being created on this planet.

We have already witnessed UFOs that is over a mile in size (the Phoenix lights were a prime example of this because the lights were part of a very large ship not many individual crafts) and some witnessed in space are much larger than that.

With this in mind who is to say that human civilization (and perhaps others elsewhere) may have been created for the purpose of raising food for the aliens. These extraterrestrials could simply be highly technologically advanced ranchers observing their heard on this planet and when the population reaches a certain size, perhaps twelve billion; they will harvest their massive heard by taking entire areas of population aboard their massive cattle crafts ... read more ...

The Real Climate Change Catastrophe

'Next Thursday marks the first anniversary of one of the most remarkable events ever to take place in the House of Commons. For six hours MPs debated what was far and away the most expensive piece of legislation ever put before Parliament.

The Climate Change Bill laid down that, by 2050, the British people must cut their emissions of carbon dioxide by well over 80 per cent. Short of some unimaginable technological revolution, such a target could not possibly be achieved without shutting down almost the whole of our industrialised economy, changing our way of life out of recognition.'

There will be nobody manning the post here at A Light In The Darkness tomorrow night ... it's a rest night ... we'll be on the road round Canberra ... having a haunted time. But we will be back with our experiences rest assured!

Quotes For The Day

“We have the need to be accepted and to be loved by others, but we cannot accept and love ourselves. The more self-love we have, the less we will experience self-abuse. Self-abuse comes from self-rejection, and self-rejection comes from having an image of what it means to be perfect and never measuring up to that ideal. Our image of perfection is the reason we reject ourselves the way we are, and why we don't accept others the way they are.” -- Don Miguel Ruiz

“The maxim ‘Nothing but perfection’ may be spelled ‘Paralysis.’” -- Winston Churchill

“After enough mirror gazing, we all develop our ‘cosmic sense of humor.’ We no longer try to be perfect, or try to get all our work done in time. We become content with whatever life brings. Just to deal with what comes up without crucifying ourselves or others is enough of a challenge.” -- Paul Ferrini

“Good enough never is.” -- Debbi Fields

No men OR women needed: Scientists create sperm and eggs from stem cells

Human eggs and sperm have been grown in the laboratory in research which could change the face of parenthood.

It paves the way for a cure for infertility and could help those left sterile by cancer treatment to have children who are biologically their own. But it raises a number of moral and ethical concerns. These include the possibility of children being born through entirely artificial means, and men and women being sidelined from the process of making babies.

Opponents argue that it is wrong to meddle with the building blocks of life and warn that the advances taking place to tackle infertility risk distorting and damaging relations between family members.

The U.S. government-funded research also offers the prospect of a 'miracle pill' which staves off the menopause, allowing women to wait longer to have a child. It centres on stem cells, widely seen as a repair kit for the body.

Scientists at Stanford University in California found the right cocktail of chemicals and vitamins to coax the cells into becoming eggs and sperm . (Daily Mail)

Uncharted Territory

When we are lost, we typically look at a map to figure out where we are and how to get to our chosen destination. This works well, assuming that there is a map of the territory in which we find ourselves, and assuming that we know our destination. However, this is not always the case. At this time in human history, we are all venturing into uncharted territory, whether we know it or not. And as individuals, we may find ourselves covering ground that our predecessors never even knew existed. When we look to them for guidance, they often come up short.
Not knowing exactly where we are, we find ourselves unsure of which way to go, and eventually the uneasy feeling that we are lost presents itself. The beauty of being lost is the same thing that makes it scary—it asks us to look within ourselves to find the way. If we have no map, we must go on instinct, relying on our inner compass to show us which way to go. This can be scary because so much seems to be riding on it. We fear we might go too far in the wrong direction, or become paralyzed and make no progress at all. And yet, this is the very challenge we need to develop our ability to trust ourselves. We are also learning to trust that the universe will support and guide us. We may believe this intellectually, but it is only through experience that it becomes knowledge of the heart. Learning to be okay with being lost and trusting that we will be guided, we begin our journey. We can support ourselves by confirming that we don’t need to know exactly where we are going in order to take our first steps. We are learning to feel our own way, rather than following an established path, and in doing so we learn to trust ourselves. It is this trust that connects us to the universe and reminds us that no matter how lost we feel, and even as we journey, on the inner level we are already home.

Buddhist Inspiration ..

Meditation is bringing the mind back home, and this is first achieved through the practice of mindfulness.Once an old woman came to Buddha and asked him how to meditate. He told her to remain aware of every movement of her hands as she drew water from the well, knowing that if she did, she would soon find herself in that state of alert and spacious calm that is meditation.

Football swine flu fears as players are told to stop 'disgusting' spitting to prevent spread of virus

Footballers were today warned that spitting could increase the risk of spreading swine flu as players at two Premier League clubs were struck down by the virus.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said the 'disgusting' habit - a common sight at many matches - could lead to infections being passed on.

Blackburn and Bolton both have a number of players showing signs of the virus ahead of their Carling Cup matches this week.

The HPA said spitting should be discouraged by football clubs as experts attempt to halt the spread of the infection.

'Spitting is disgusting at all times. It's unhygienic and unhealthy, particularly if you spit close to other people,' said a HPA spokesman. 'Footballers, like the rest of us, wouldn't spit indoors so they shouldn't do it on the football pitch. If they are spitting near other people it could certainly increase the risk of passing on infections. Certainly, spitting is a nasty habit that should be discouraged - and it should be discouraged by the football clubs. It's about setting examples for young people who idolise them.'

He added footballers should follow the same guidelines as other members of the public by washing their hands, covering their mouth when sneezing and disposing of used tissues.

'The advice is catch it, bin it, kill it,' he said.

The pleas come following concerns that many NHS staff plan to turn down the chance of a free swine flu jab over safety worries and the belief that the virus is so mild. The Football Association and Barclays Premier League said they were following guidance from health experts in handling the issue. (Daily Mail)

Energy to Spare

Every human life is defined, to some extent, by limits. No one person is capable of fulfilling every possibility. We are all born with unique aptitudes and sensitivities, and it is these qualities that largely determine the paths we will travel in life. What invigorates, excites, and inspires one individual may exhaust or overwhelm another. When we understand what we as individuals are capable of reasonably handling, we gradually learn to accept that we have control over our wellbeing. Yet determining where our limits lie can be difficult, as it is likely we have been told time and again that the discomfort, fatigue, and stress we felt while engaging in activities outside the range of our comfort zones was all in our heads.

If you have never before given thought to the notion of personal limits, creating a list of those tasks and situations that leave you feeling drained can give you insight into your own. You will know definitively that you are operating within your limits when you have the necessary energy and drive to address your personal and professional commitments. This is not to say you should not push yourself or work to extend the range of your capabilities. The wisdom you gain through dynamic self-examination will give you the tools you need to create an individual life strategy that allows you to achieve your goals without compromising yourself or your needs. The limits you honor by focusing your energy on what you can do rather than what you cannot do will not interfere with your ambitions unless you allow them to interfere. You can thrive within your limits, actively shape your circumstances, and avoid anguish by simply recognizing that certain aspects of life nourish you while others drain you, and doing your best to perceive the fine line between applying yourself diligently and overworking yourself. You may be surprised to discover that your limits change over time. Your willingness to accept these limits as they reveal themselves to you can smooth your passage through life and give you the means to flourish.

Inspiration For The Day

“How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life – and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’s good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done?’” -- Nathaniel Branden

“ ...what I focus on in life is what I get. And if I concentrate on how bad I am or how wrong I am or how inadequate I am, if I concentrate on what I can’t do and how there’s not enough time in which to do it, isn’t that what I get every time? And when I think about how powerful I am, and when I think about what I have left to contribute, and when I think about the difference I can make on this planet, then that’s what I get. You see, I recognize that it’s not what happens to you; it’s what you do about it.” -- W. Mitchell

Barnsley 0 - 2 Man Utd

Carling Cup holders Manchester United booked a quarter-final place thanks to a comfortable victory at Barnsley.

Sir Alex Ferguson made 11 changes from United's defeat by Liverpool on Sunday and they went ahead when Anderson's corner was headed in by Danny Welbeck. Barnsley went close when Daniel Bogdanovic hit the post, but Michael Owen's expert finish doubled the lead.

Gary Neville was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Adam Hammill, but Barnsley could find no way through.

They had enough chances to get back on level terms, but some profligate finishing cost them any chance of a famous upset at Oakwell.

It was the perfect opportunity for Ferguson to give some of his senior players who have not been playing regularly in the first team some much-needed competitive football. Neville and Wes Brown came into the defence, Anderson was brought into the midfield and Owen started only his fifth game for the club, while Gabriel Obertan made his first start since a £3m summer move from Bordeaux.

Ferguson's side showed Barnsley no mercy in a dominant opening spell as Welbeck thumped home a header with only six minutes on the clock. It could quickly have got worse as both Welbeck and Obertan forced fine saves from Luke Steele, the first chance coming after an outrageous 60-yard pass from the influential Anderson.

Barnsley were perhaps guilty of giving United too much respect, but they soon improved and Bogdanovic nodded against a post before Stephen Foster twice headed off target from good positions as United consistently failed to deal with corners.

The hosts were beginning to look like the better side, but they had not accounted for the predatory finishing instincts of master goal-scorer Owen. Having sliced one effort wide early in the second half, he made the Tykes pay with a stunning solo goal on the hour mark. Owen rolled back the years as he picked the ball up outside the Barnsley area, slipped it through a defender's legs and surprised Steele by taking his shot early, clinically rolling it into the far corner from 16 yards. Daily Mail Headline says 'Save the planet, go veggie, says climate chief Lord Stern'

Britons should turn vegetarian to help beat global warming, according to one of the world's top experts on climate change.

Lord Stern said methane emissions from cows and pigs were putting 'enormous pressure' on the world.

The peer, who wrote an influential review of climate change in 2006, advocated a meat-free diet and called on people to think more about the effect of what they eat.

He predicted people's attitudes to eating meat would change so much with time that it would eventually become unacceptable - in the same way as drink driving.

And he also forecast the price of meat and other foods that generate a lot of greenhouse gases could rise after December's pivotal climate change conference'Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It put enormous pressure on the world's resources. A vegetarian diet is better,' he said. (Opinion: They came up with 'FART TAX' in New Zealand which was methane emissions from cattle ... it could be going in the same direction)

First Tractate - 'Fate'

1. In the two orders of things- those whose existence is that of process and those in whom it is Authentic Being- there is a variety of possible relation to Cause.
Cause might conceivably underly all the entities in both orders or none in either. It might underly some, only, in each order, the others being causeless. It might, again, underly the Realm of Process universally while in the Realm of Authentic Existence some things were caused, others not, or all were causeless. Conceivably, on the other hand, the Authentic Existents are all caused while in the Realm of Process some things are caused and others not, or all are causeless.

Now, to begin with the Eternal Existents:

The Firsts among these, by the fact that they are Firsts, cannot be referred to outside Causes; but all such as depend upon those Firsts may be admitted to derive their Being from them.

And in all cases the Act may be referred to the Essence [as its cause], for their Essence consists, precisely, in giving forth an appropriate Act.

As for Things of Process- or for Eternal Existents whose Act is not eternally invariable- we must hold that these are due to Cause; Causelessness is quite inadmissible; we can make no place here for unwarranted "slantings," for sudden movement of bodies apart from any initiating power, for precipitate spurts in a soul with nothing to drive it into the new course of action. Such causelessness would bind the Soul under an even sterner compulsion, no longer master of itself, but at the mercy of movements apart from will and cause. Something willed- within itself or without- something desired, must lead it to action; without motive it can have no motion.

On the assumption that all happens by Cause, it is easy to discover the nearest determinants of any particular act or state and to trace it plainly to them.

The cause of a visit to the centre of affairs will be that one thinks it necessary to see some person or to receive a debt, or, in a word, that one has some definite motive or impulse confirmed by a judgement of expediency. Sometimes a condition may be referred to the arts, the recovery of health for instance to medical science and the doctor. Wealth has for its cause the discovery of a treasure or the receipt of a gift, or the earning of money by manual or intellectual labour. The child is traced to the father as its Cause and perhaps to a chain of favourable outside circumstances such as a particular diet or, more immediately, a special organic aptitude or a wife apt to childbirth.

And the general cause of all is Nature

CO2 in the Atmosphere is Decreasing - How Will the Global Warming Crowd Explain That?

'Al Gore starts his odyssey on global warming with the Keeling Curve - the chart of steadily increasing CO2 levels measured off the top of Mauna Loa. Very compelling and the cornerstone of the case for anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (AGW). Early this year, however, the annual rate of increase was the lowest measured, and on a monthly basis seemed to be coming to a dead stop - which means after seasonal adjustments would show a down trend.

Now it appears there is a down trend in the CO2 levels. See chart. If this continues it spells the coup de grace for the goofy AGW case.'

Awareness contains both happiness and unhappiness. It contains the falling stock and the stubbed toe and the broken heart. When we recognize this, we can begin to see that we are always Aware, no matter what is happening. Awareness is the constant, and it is only the content of consciousness that changes (as stocksfall and toes are stubbed).

Reaffirming Our Integrity

Every thought we think and every action we take has an effect on the world around us. To be aware of this is to be conscious of our impact on the people in our lives. Sometimes we just want to do what we want to do, but considering the full ramifications of our actions can be an important part of our spiritual growth and awareness. At first, being more conscious requires effort, but once we have made it a habit, it becomes second nature. The more we practice this awareness of others, the more we find ourselves in easy alignment with our integrity.

Our thoughts are an important place to begin this practice because our thoughts are the seeds of our actions. It is not necessary or beneficial to obsessively monitor all our thoughts, but we can perhaps choose one thought or action per day and simply notice if we are in alignment with this experience of integrity. For example, we may find ourselves replaying a negative encounter with someone in our minds. We may think that this doesn’t affect the person about whom we are thinking, but the laws of energy tell us that it does. When we hold someone negatively in our minds, we risk trapping them in negativity. If we were this person, we might wish for forgiveness and release. We can offer this by simply letting go of the negative thought and replacing it with a wish for healing on that person’s behalf. With regard to our actions, we may have something difficult to express to someone. Taking the time to consider how we would feel if we were in his or her shoes will enable us to communicate more sensitively than we would if we just expressed ourselves from our own perspective. When we modify our approach by taking someone else’s feelings into account, we bring benefit to that person and ourselves equally. The more we do this, the more we reaffirm our integrity and the integrity of our relationship to the world.

The Skulls Of The Mother Goddess

The skulls were all found in the Hal Saflienti hypogeum, where a sacred well was dedicated to the Mother Goddess and where also the small statue of a sleeping goddess was found, associated to a relic with a snake inscription on it. The skulls were brought out of their box one at a time. Among these, all very interesting, was the one we were looking for. The cranium showed a very pronounced dolichocephalous, in other words, a lengthened posterior part of the skullcap, besides the lack of median knitting, technically named "sagitta". This last detail has been considered "impossible" by medics and anatomists to whom we turned, not having (as far as known) analogous pathological cases in international medical literature. It is a characteristic that emphasizes the anomaly of this finding with the result of producing a natural lengthening of the cranium in the occipital area (not due to bandaging or boards as used in pre-Colombian civilizations). We believe that the discovery of this skull and the like at Hal Saflienti isn't accidental.

Malta and Gozo were very important centers since pre-historic times, places where "medical cures" were conducted, oracles and ritual encounters with the priests of the goddess. There, on both the islands, existed many sanctuaries and thaumaturgic centers, where priests surrounded the healing goddess, direct expression of her divinity. It is well known that, in antiquity, the serpent was associated to the goddess and to healing capacities. The snake also belongs to the subterranean world. Therefore, a hypogeum dedicated to the goddess and the water cult was the right place for a sacerdotal group that was defined, in all the most ancient cultures, as the "serpent priests".

Perhaps the skulls found in the hypogeum and examined during our visit to Malta, belonged indeed to these priests. As mentioned before, they present an accentuated dolichocephalous, which is particularly the center of our analysis. The long head and drawn features must have given a serpent-like appearance, stretching the eyes and skin. Lacking the lower part of the exhibit, we can only speculate, but the hypothesis can't be far from reality, a reality worsened buy the fact that such deformities certainly created walking problems, forcing him…to slither! The lack of the cranium's median knitting and therefore, the impossibility of the brain's consistent, radial expansion in the skullcap, did so that it developed in the occipital zone of the cerebellum, deforming the cranium that looked like a single cap from the frontal and occipital area. This must have certainly caused the man terrible agony since infancy, but probably enhanced visions that were considered as being proof of a bond with the goddess.

Even the other skulls we examined presented strange anomalies. Some were more natural and harmonic than the cranium that mostly gained our attention, but they still presented a pronounced natural dolichocephalous and we could assume, without fear of refutation, that it is distinctive of an actual race, different to the native populations of Malta and Gozo. This consideration was confirmed by the Maltese archeologists themselves, Anthony Buonanno and Mark Anthony Mifsud, who said:

"They are another race although C-14 or DNA exams haven't yet been performed. Perhaps these individuals originated from Sicily"... read more ...

Men Of The Yews

The Druidic Order was divided into three classifications. There were Druids, Bards, and Ovates. Significantly, the Egyptian Amenists employed a similar tripartite system:
The three highest ranks in Egypt were the divine, the royal, and the noble, and the three were distinguished from each other by their peculiar type of beard. Thus the loftiest rank was spiritual, and this primacy originated not in men becoming bishops, but in their possessing those spiritual powers and faculties which have been repudiated and expurgated by the Churches of orthodox Christianity, but which were looked upon of old as verily divine
– Gerald Massey (Ancient Egypt: The Light of the World)

The Egyptian priesthood was hereditary, and formed one of the three classes into which the nation was divided--namely, the priests, the soldiers, and the cultivators of the soil. They held their estates free from the land tax or rent of one-fifth of the crop, as mentioned in Gen. xlvii. 26. They were the only learned or educated people in the kingdom, and consequently they filled every post and office which needed any education. Not only every clergyman, sexton, and undertaker, but every physician and druggist; every lawyer, writing-clerk, schoolmaster, and author; every sculptor, painter, and land-measurer; every conjuror, ventriloquist, and fortune-teller, belonged to the priestly order. Even those posts in the army which required an education, such as secretaryships and clerkships, were held by priests. Much of the skilled labour of the country was under their control. The linen manufactories in the Delta, and the stone quarries between the first and second cataracts, were both managed by the priests – Samuel Sharpe (Egyptian Mythology and Egyptian Christianity)

From the word Ovate (from the Gaelic Faidh) come such roots and words as Faith, Fate and Vatican. So when Christians pontificate about having "faith," they do so without realizing the word and idea come from the Druids, the true "Men of Faith." The Ovates were judges. The word judge comes from the same roots as Judah (from Yahud) and Jew. In all cases these titles come from Irish roots. They refer to the "Men of the Yews," the Arya, or Servants of Truth who appeared in pre-dynastic Egypt as the blue-eyed, fair-skinned Shemsu Hor.

The Worship of the Heavens

Many thousands of years ago in what we refer to as the "primordial world" of the ancients, human life was a far different experience to that which we enjoy today. While it is true that we have less documentation on that prehistoric world than we have on our own age, ample enough is known from the ancient writings to paint a rather clear picture of our primitive ancestry.

If we have learned anything at all, it is this: The more we change, the more we stav the same. And nowhere is this more clearly demonstrated than in the history of man's quest for "God", and the ancient religion we still keep holy today.According to the best understanding we have gleaned from the available records, life for our ancient forefathers was a mixture of wonder and fear. Each day, just finding food for one's family without becoming a meal yourself for the roaming predatory animals, was a life and death struggle. (If you have ever ventured out on a cold night with insufficient clothing, and without friend or family near, you could quickly see how fearful the dark, cold primordial nights could be) And then came winter! It was from these meagre, distressful conditions of the human race that our long history of the search for God and meaning has come. Any evolution, at it's most accelerated rate, is always agonisingly slow. But from the beginning, man's' profound questions demanded answers. When no clear answers were forthcoming from the universe, man turned inward, and developed his own. Keep in mind that all the theological teachings of the Western World were developed in the Northern Hemisphere. The study of this subject is properly called - "Astro-Theology" or, "The Worship of the Heavens"... read more ...

Outplayed!

Liverpool ended their worst sequence of results since 1987 and eased the pressure on manager Rafael Benitez in the most satisfying manner possible as Manchester United were deservedly beaten at Anfield.

Fernando Torres demonstrated his world class with a 65th-minute opener, comfortably shrugging off the attentions of Rio Ferdinand before powering an unstoppable finish high past United keeper Edwin van der Sar at The Kop end.

And after United's Nemanja Vidic was sent off for the third successive time against Liverpool and Javier Mascherano also saw red in a thunderous finale, substitute David Ngog raced on to Lucas's pass to wrap up a fully-merited victory.

Anfield was awash with ecstasy as goalkeeper Pepe Reina rushed the length of the field to join the celebrations with Ngog - a sign of what was riding on this result for Liverpool and manager Benitez.

Reds boss Benitez entered this crucial game with spirits lifted after managing director Christian Purslow added his weight to co-owner George Gillett's message that his future is not under threat.

But it was the commitment and energy shown by Liverpool in the face of four successive defeats that was always going to be the most realistic measure of the current circumstances surrounding Benitez.

And Liverpool delivered in emphatic fashion, backed by fervent Anfield supporters who recognised Benitez had reached a pivotal point in his five-year reign.

Liverpool held sway for most of a match that only occasionally touched the heights, but the workload of the respective keepers confirmed this was a victory well-earned by Benitez's side - and which now leaves them only four points behind the Premier League champions. (BBC Sport)

Another Government Emergency

'National “emergencies” are always good for “bypassing rules” and making things up on the fly.
President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect noninfected patients. Health and Human Services chief Kathleen Sebelius now has authority to bypass federal rules when opening alternative care sites, such as offsite hospital centers at schools or community centers if hospitals seek permission.

The hysteria is completely out of control. Meanwhile, remember that Obama’s children will not, as of yet, get a swine flu vaccination.'

In fact he finds this strange race so repugnant that it’s only Spock’s intervention that stops Kirk nuking the planet.

The above image is of course Goncalo Amaral and his wife Sofia: It’s not often the wife of a policeman shoehorns herself into a missing child case, or any other case for that matter. Even Mrs Columbo managed to stay out of the limelight.

You may remember Sofia for her published letter to the mother of this missing child, where she boasts of her husband’s prowess in bed. In a more recent newspaper article she pleads poverty. No doubt she gave that interview from the passenger seat of her husband’s brand new Jaguar, bought with the profits from his book where he states Madeleine is dead and her parents were involved. The lack of evidence for such a claim didn’t seem to matter to him. But it seems to matter to the courts in Lisbon ... read more ...

Inspiration For The Day

Do you believe God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent? If so, where is there room for anything else?

Half-Full Consciousness

We are all familiar with the metaphorical story of two people looking at the same glass and one perceiving it as half-full while the other sees it as half-empty. As much as we’ve heard this, it’s still a valuable exercise to really observe our minds and notice whether we are engaged in half-full or half-empty thinking. People will refer to themselves as being of one type or the other as if it was a permanent characteristic, but we are all capable of shifting into a half-full consciousness if we simply make the effort.

When we look at our lives with half-empty consciousness, we perceive a lack and think that the other half of what we want is missing. We are coming from a position of expectation and entitlement. On the other hand, when we look at our lives as half-full we perceive fullness. It is as if we recognize that our cup could be fully empty and so we are grateful for what we see as bounty—not something we expect or believe we are owed, but a gift. In half-full consciousness, we count our blessings. When we look at our lives we see all the elements that are in place and all the things we do have. This doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t seek more, but we seek from a place of fullness instead of from a place of lack. This fullness draws positive energy into our lives and often attracts more abundance. If you would like to begin to make the shift into half-full consciousness, try imagining your life as an empty glass. This is your life without all the people you know, the work you do, your home, or your current state of physical wellbeing. This is just an empty, open space waiting to be filled. Once you have that feeling of openness in your mind, begin filling it with all the people, things, and places that make up your life. You may be surprised to find your glass overflowing

Akkadian Dumuzi

In Mesopotamian religion, god of fertility embodying the powers for new life in nature in the spring. The name Tammuz seems to have been derived from the Akkadian form Tammuzi, based on early Sumerian Damu-zid, The Flawless Young. The later standard Sumerian form, Dumu-zid, in turn became Dumuzi in Akkadian. The earliest known mention of Tammuz is in texts dating to the early part of the Early Dynastic III period (c. 2600–c. 2334 bc), but his cult probably was much older. Although the cult is attested for most of the major cities of Sumer in the 3rd and 2nd millennia bc, it centred in the cities around the central steppe area (the edin), for example, at Bad-tibira (modern Madīnah) where Tammuz was the city god.

As shown by his most common epithet Sipad (Shepherd), Tammuz was essentially a pastoral deity. His father
Enki is rarely mentioned, and his mother, the goddess Duttur, was a personification of the ewe. His own name, Dumu-zid, and two variant designations for him, Ama-ga (Mother Milk) and U-lu-lu (Multiplier of Pasture), suggest that he actually was the power for everything that a shepherd might wish for: grass to come up in the desert, healthy lambs to be born, and milk to be plentiful in the mother animals.

When the cult of Tammuz spread to Assyria in the 2nd and 1st millennia bc, the character of the god seems to have changed from that of a pastoral to that of an agricultural deity. The texts suggest that, in Assyria (and later among the
Sabaeans), Tammuz was basically viewed as the power in the grain, dying when the grain was milled.

The cult of Tammuz centred around two yearly festivals, one celebrating his marriage to the goddess
Inanna, the other lamenting his death at the hands of demons from the netherworld. During the 3rd Dynasty of Ur (c. 2112–c. 2004 bc) in the city of Umma (modern Tell Jokha), the marriage of the god was dramatically celebrated in February–March, Umma’s Month of the Festival of Tammuz. During the Isin–Larsa period (c. 2004–c. 1792 bc), the texts relate that in the marriage rite the king actually took on the identity of the god and thus, by consummating the marriage with a priestess incarnating the goddess, magically fertilized and fecundated all of nature for the year.

The celebrations in March–April that marked the death of the god also seem to have been dramatically performed. Many of the laments for the occasion have as a setting a procession out into the desert to the fold of the slain god. In Assyria, however, in the 7th century bc, the ritual took place in June–July. In the major cities of the realm, a couch was set up for the god upon which he lay in state. His body appears to have been symbolized by an assemblage of vegetable matter, honey, and a variety of other foods.

Among the texts dealing with the god is “Dumuzi’s Dream,” a myth telling how Tammuz had a dream presaging his death and how the dream came true in spite of all his efforts to escape. A closely similar tale forms the second half of the Sumerian myth “The Descent of Inanna,” in which Inanna (Akkadian: Ishtar) sends Tammuz as her substitute to the netherworld. His sister,
Geshtinanna, eventually finds him, and the myth ends with Inanna decreeing that Tammuz and his sister may alternate in the netherworld, each spending half of the year among the living.

Tammuz’s courtship and wedding were a popular theme for love songs and anecdotal verse compositions that seem to have been used primarily for entertainment. A number of true cult texts, however, follow the rite step by step as if told by a close observer, and many laments were probably performed in the actual rites ... read more ...

The History of the House of Rothschild

'The Rothschilds have been in control of the world for a very long time, their tentacles reaching into many aspects of our daily lives, as is documented in the following timeline. However, before you jump to the timeline, please read this invaluable introduction which will tell you who the Rothschilds are as oppose to who they claim to be.
The Rothschilds claim that they are Jewish, when in fact they are Khazars. They are from a country called Khazaria, which occupied the land locked between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea which is now predominantly occupied by Georgia. The reason the Rothschilds claim to be Jewish is that the Khazars under the instruction of the King, converted to the Jewish faith in 740 A.D., but of course that did not include converting their Asiatic Mongolian genes to the genes of the Jewish people.'

Quote For The Day

When you find yourself sitting on the horns of a dilemma, do not be in a hurry to make your decision. Take your time, be patient and live with the question as long as is necessary. With time, you will find that one day you will wake up and know, with certainty, exactly what you need to do-- and your dilemma will no longer even be a question.

Image Of The Day - Flying Anomaly

An anomaly 'discovered' on Google Earth in South America
What is the apparent flying anomaly on the left of the image ....?

Vimanas, Ancient Flying Vehicles

A vimana is a mythological flying machine, described in the ancient mythology of India. References to these flying machines are commonplace in ancient Indian texts, even describing their use in warfare. As well as being able to fly within Earth's atmosphere, vimanas were also said to be able to travel into space and travel submerged underwater.

As we search for clues to our ancient past, one that is linked to creation from an external source, we search for visitors who may have come here millennia ago, to that end. We also wonder how glyphs, found in one part of the planet, credited to a specific civilization of that region, have turned up half way around the world created in the same timeline. Did the ancients have flying ships? Did the ships belong to their gods? In the inserts of our reality program and and all things are possible, as we await explanation of our creation and where it is all going. Today many people see UFO's of different descriptions, and most believe aliens exist and in same way interact in our program, if only for biogenetic experiments, mirroring the Nazi Program of WW II, which ended as the alien grey program began. We still search for proof and disclosure, which we sense is not far away ... read more ...

Found: first 'skylight' on the moon

A deep hole on the moon that could open into a vast underground tunnel has been found for the first time. The discovery strengthens evidence for subsurface, lava-carved channels that could shield future human colonists from space radiation and other hazards.
The moon seems to possess long, winding tunnels called lava tubes that are similar to structures seen on Earth. They are created when the top of a stream of molten rock solidifies and the lava inside drains away, leaving a hollow tube of rock.

Their existence on the moon is hinted at based on observations of sinuous rilles – long, winding depressions carved into the lunar surface by the flow of lava. Some sections of the rilles have collapsed, suggesting that hollow lava tubes hide beneath at least some of the rilles.

But until now, no one has found an opening into what appears to be an intact tube. "There's sort of a chicken-and-egg problem," says Carolyn van der Bogert of the University of Münster in Germany. "If it's intact, you can't see it."

Finding a hole in a rille could suggest that an intact tube lies beneath. So a group led by Junichi Haruyama of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency searched for these "skylights" in images taken by Japan's
Kaguya spacecraft, which orbited the moon for almost two years before ending its mission in June.

The team found the first candidate skylight in a volcanic area on the moon's near side called Marius Hills. "This is the first time that anybody's actually identified a skylight in a possible lava tube" on the moon, van der Bogert, who helped analyse the feature, told New Scientist.

The hole measures 65 metres across, and based on images taken at a variety of sun angles, the the hole is thought to extend down at least 80 metres. It sits in the middle of a rille, suggesting the hole leads into a lava tube as wide as 370 metres across.

It is not clear exactly how the hole formed. A meteorite impact, moonquakes, or pressure created by gravitational tugs from the Earth could be to blame. Alternatively, part of the lava tube's ceiling could have been pulled off as lava in the tube drained away billions of years ago ... read more ...

The Protocols Of Zion & The Illuminati Road Map

"It must be noted that men with bad instincts are more in number than the good, and therefore the best results in governing them are attained by violence and terrorisation, and not by academic discussions. Every man aims at power, everyone would like to become a dictator if only he could, and rare indeed are the men who would not be willing to sacrifice the welfare of all for the sake of securing their own welfare" (Source)

The Illuminati have this doctrine burned into their souls. They control their own from birth through trauma and terror. In its infancy, the child is taught to trust no one through "set-ups" where the child is actually betrayed by someone they have grown to trust. Only Satan governs through fear and terror. That is why his kingdom is called "Hell".

9/11 was a perfect example of how they use terror to control the masses. They believe that most men are selfish and evil. That means, most people can be bribed or intimidated. The Illuminati use Bohemian Grove to photograph the Elite while they are involved in sexual perversion. This is for future blackmail purposes if necessary. They also use money to bribe our politicians and others to advance their agenda.

This is also the very anti-thesis of True Democracy and Freedom.

"What has restrained the beasts of prey who are called men? What has served for their guidance hitherto?

In the beginnings of the structure of society, they were subjected to brutal and blind force; afterwards - to Law, which is the same force, only disguised. I draw the conclusion that by the law of nature, right lies in force." (Source)

This statement is consistent with the Illuminati's successful attempts to amass all worldly power into their own private hands. All wealth, all government, all of the armies of the earth are now successfully under Illuminati control. They govern over our laws, our lifestyles, our wars and our social interactions. You won't ever see them admit they are Satanists, but ask yourself, how have things gotten so violent, so sick and so perverted in such a short time? Why does our society go from one "emergency crisis" to the next? Who controls the Hollywood immorality plays? Only a blind man would say that evil does not rule over the governments of men ... read more ...

Evolution Of The Soul

You meet someone for the first time and feel as if you know them already. You're in a town that you've never been to before, yet you recognize streets and buildings. You start playing a new sport and amaze everyone, including yourself, at your natural abilities and intuitive knowing of the rules. We often describe such experiences as déjà vu: the experience or feeling that a new situation has happened to us before. Then again, the possibility does exist that we have actually lived these experiences in the past or, rather, in another lifetime.
Many spiritual practices believe that reincarnation is real: Our souls return to this earth over a series of lifetimes to evolve, learn, grow, transform, and become more spiritually attuned through the course of each life. When we reincarnate, it is believed that we tend to cycle through our different lives with many of the same people. Often these traveling "soul" companions are the ones we enter into relationships with; we work through our unresolved issues together so that we may heal. When we struggle or keep encountering blocks that keep us from reaching our goals, there may be a specific lesson that we are supposed to learn in this lifetime. Being naturally blessed with a musical talent or another gift can be a special ability that you worked hard to develop in a past life. You may even have lived before as another gender or as part of a different social or economic class. Each lifetime brings with it specific lessons that are necessary for our spiritual evolution. Past life recall can give us valuable insights into our past, present, and future lives. The knowledge of how we lived before can help us overcome present obstacles, understand phobias, and resolve relationship issues. There are workshops you can take to learn about past lives, and past life regression therapists can guide you on your journey backward in time. You can learn to visit your past lives through your dreams, meditation, and trance work. It is even possible to see full scenes of a former lifetime flash before you in your mind's eye as if you were watching a movie. While looking back at your past lives can be exciting and enlightening, it is important to remember that the answers you are seeking to this life can only truly be found by living this one. Look to your past to see where you've been, but remember that the life that matters most is the one that you are living now.

DIANA: NEW SENSATION

SENIOR French officials who investigated Princess Diana’s death were blamed for a cover-up yesterday in a dramatic court ruling which condemned them for failing to check whether vital evidence was forged.

The Paris court ruled the French state was liable for “unnecessary delays” in investigating a mix-up over controversial blood tests.

Those tests were used to support hotly-contested claims that Henri Paul, the hotel security officer who drove Diana and her lover Dodi Fayed to their deaths in a Paris car crash, was drunk. In a sternly-worded ruling, which comes 12 years and two months after the crash, the civil Court of Grand Instance said there were “dysfunctional” aspects to the work of the French investigators who led the crash inquiry.

They concluded that a mix-up over Mr Paul’s post mortem examination, and especially his blood tests, “had the effect of delaying without legitimate motive the investigation for almost two years” after the French authorities refused to investigate a complaint lodged in 2002 that the tests were forged.

The court fined the French Republic a notional £5,000 to be paid in compensation to Dodi’s father, the Harrods tycoon Mohamed Al Fayed, who had taken the legal action in an attempt to prove that the blood tests were switched to make it appear that Mr Paul was drunk.

Mr Al Fayed insisted that the ruling, which is expected to pave the way for further legal action against those he has accused of withholding key evidence, showed that the French secret service had deliberately staged the delays to cover-up the forgery.

The Egyptian billionaire told the Daily Express yesterday: “I have always maintained that the secret services were responsible for the deaths of Diana and my son Dodi. I am delighted with this decision. It is a major step towards uncovering the truth about what really happened that night. I am delighted that the French court has recognised that I have been denied justice.” (Daily Express)

Full Moon: 4th November 2009 (Taurus Moon)

Taurus is a show-me sign; a grounded, earthy, full-body experience. The Moon in Taurus is a big reminder that it is our actions here on earth which matter most for bringing an end to the suffering and pain humans cause each other, our nature brothers and sisters, and our collective Mother, the Earth. How we walk through life, how we treat other life forms makes the difference between ignorance and enlightenment.

What the Moon in Taurus wants most to convey is the message that all the wisdom of the universe is already present in your body; particularly in the human brain. Aries represents the experience of the impulsive and instinctual body. Taurus asks us to recognize that our instincts can help or harm us and others. In order to take this evolutionary step, we must consider the morality and value of our desires and actions. To succeed at this task we need a well-developed prefrontal lobe which mediates our ability to feel and act with compassion and forgiveness by "seeing' the mind of the other, thereby controlling our impulses to create harmonious interactions.

FDA, FTC Threaten Dr. Weil Over Immune-Boosting Supplements For H1N1 Swine Flu

'In working to protect the business interests of vaccine manufactures, both the FDA and FTC have declared all-out war against any products that might offer consumers options other than vaccines. This week, that war against natural remedies reached the shores of Dr. Andrew Weil, who is perhaps the best-known alternative medicine doctor in America.

In an intimidating, threatening letter jointly issued by the FTC and the FDA, these rogue government agencies threatened Dr. Weil with criminal prosecution for making true statements about his immune-boosting formula such as, "Astragalus ... is ... used traditionally to ward off colds and flu, and has demonstrated both antiviral and immune-boosting effects in scientific investigation.

"This statement, although scientifically valid and true, is a threat to the profits of the vaccine industry, and so Dr. Weil's company is being targeted by the FTC / FDA vaccine racket tag-team for termination.'

In-Between Times

It could be argued that life is more about the time spent waiting for something to happen than it is about something happening. What this means is that the big events in our lives are preceded by many days and nights of dreaming, planning, organizing, and waiting. The times of waiting in between the big events actually constitute the majority of our lives. These in-between times are anything but uneventful.

In fact, they are rich with possibility and filled with opportunities for reflection and preparation. Like a pregnant woman awaiting the birth of her child, we have a finite period of time in which to prepare internally and externally for the upcoming event that will define a new chapter in our lives. When we find ourselves in an in-between time, we often can’t help but feel impatient for the impending event. We just want to get to the future and have the new baby, the new job, or the new house. And yet, there is a reason a pregnancy takes nine months to fulfil itself. Nature provides the expectant parents with this time so that they can prepare the nest. This preparation plays out on many levels. Materially, a space must be created in the home and resources must be set aside for the baby’s future; psychologically, a shift must occur in which the psyches of both parents agree to be responsible for a new life in the world; and emotionally, the heart must open wider to embrace and fulfil a new love.

Whenever you find yourself in such a time of waiting, you might want spend time exploring your material, psychological, and emotional readiness. For example, if you are preparing to move to a new city, you could make a list of things you’d like to do in the city you will be leaving behind, and go to your favourite places and spend time with old friends. This way, you will remain fully engaged in the present as you await your future, savouring the in-between time as a vital experience in itself.

Daily Mail Headline reads: Schoolboy banned from buying pack of wine gums... for being too young to drink

While under-age drinking is rightly frowned upon, there is no law that says a teenager cannot satisfy his sweet tooth.

But when 15-year-old Jaz Bhogal left a discount store after buying a packet of wine gums, he was horrified to find a member of staff chasing him down the street. Jaz was then ordered back to the premises where the 99p Haribo sweets were confiscated and he was given a full refund.

When he demanded an explanation, a member of staff at the 99p Stores outlet in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, explained that he needed to be 18 or over to buy anything containing alcohol.

Jaz, who was out shopping with a friend at the time, said: 'I couldn't believe it. He asked how old I was and, when I said I was 15, he said he couldn't sell me the sweets. He said they had wine in them and pointed to the word wine on the packet. I was absolutely speechless.'

Speaking at the family home at nearby Leverington, the boy's mother, Sue, 36, added she thought he was pulling her leg when he complained to her about his experience.

'I thought Jaz was joking with me when he came home and told me what had happened,' she said. 'It is ridiculous and I would have been really cross if I had asked him to buy them for me.'

Wine gums contain no alcohol but are named after the lingering fruit flavours which, according to confectionery lore, make them 'similar to the experience of savouring a fine wine'. They have traditionally had the names of alcoholic drinks printed on them, such as port, sherry, champagne, claret and gin.

Quotes For The Day

"...we need to abandon the idea that wisdom is knowing everything—the whys, the wherefores, the how-tos. Wisdom is often more subtle, both far simpler and exceedingly more complex. For wisdom requires the discerning, the listening to, the acknowledgement of nudges and notions, of senses and sensations, of the minute and what we often mistakenly assume is the mundane. Wisdom means listening to the still, small voice, the whisper that can be easily lost in the whirlwind of busyness, expectations, and conventions of the world....” -- Jean M. Blomquist

“Nine-tenths of wisdom is appreciation. Go find somebody’s hand and squeeze it, while there’s time.” -- Dale Dauten

A Word on 'Nordics'

Nordic aliens, or Nords, are one of several types of extraterrestrial featured in the UFO mythos.

Nords are described as resembling beautiful, taller than average humans with Nordic or Scandinavian features: pale skin, blue or green eyes and blonde hair. Nordic contacts, often from Venus, were frequently reported in the 1950s and 1960s, but declined after that. Purported contactees claim to have witnessed the Nords beaming down from gold or silver colored crescent-shaped UFOs or from gigantic bright cigar-shaped UFOs.

Many people believe the cigar-shape UFOs serve as a mother ship because there have been reports of smaller ships flying around it. Their spacecrafts are often said to be very fast-moving and can come in large numbers. Several reports claim that these UFOs were encountered near mountains or forests and are rarely thought to hover over more urban settings.

Contactees' reports of Nordic aliens describe them as benevolent observers who are not allowed to interfere with Earth culture. Nordic Aliens are also said to be in conflict with the Greys, as the latter are influencing human evolution. They are rarely reported to have abducted or performed experiments on humans. Many people theorize they are humankind's long lost relatives that have traveled to other planets. Most Nordics aliens who are encountered on earth are males.

They mostly communicate telepathically. They have reportedly been seen, however, to talk in a language of their own.

Buddhist Inspiration ..

We all know that on days when we are in a good mood, when the whole world seems to be smiling at us, we can accept predicaments or bad news more easily than if our mind is already upset, frustrated or troubled, when the slightest incident might cause us to explode with negative emotions. If we make a habit of being governed by these negative emotions, we will lose our appetite, sleep badly, perhaps become ill, and lose a few years of our life as a result. So mental calmness is very important. --- From Beyond Dogma - The Challenge of the Modern World
