The river of life flows quickly by
from the day of birth to the time to die,
and the swan's song shall fade
when the memory is played,
by the actor after the act.
The ship of fools is tossed and turned
by the many lessons to be learned,
as it journeys through those raging waves
and passengers gaze silently toward comrade's graves,
realising then the frailty of mortality.
The bells of doom toll and ring the changes,
mists lift then to reveal once hidden places,
and The Chosen are empowered to aid the damned.
The dragon's fire to be quelled now it is freed,
and the unknown surely now to become the known.
The rites of passage are made made known
to the bravest souls who have now grown,
gaining strength and resolve through pain and anguish,
standing like nets to the drowning fish,
helping the overemotional to gain back control.
And in the end all the pieces shall be fitting
as the diamond learns the reason for its splitting.
No longer will flotsam flounder in the sea,
and jetsam shall reunite and set them both free.
The missing planet thence appearing on the tree of life.
