THE LIGHT IN THE EXPECTED STORM

The light starts to shine now
As the hermit permits its torch to appear in the cave
Slowly ... and surely now ...
Like the snowball in its first anxious moments
The first steps taken are those of prime concern
For what can be cast in motion has been unleashed.

He permits a weary smile
As he ambles down into the wastelands
To find more wood to tempt the fire
The conflagration for which he was born
He thinks to himself
As the pulls his thread bare gown tighter
As the preternatural cold raises an ache in his bones.
The Hermit is awakened now ...
Truly it is the end of days
That time his program was set to activate him
And facsimiles will rain down on him
Like hail storms in an expected storm
He can merely use that tinder to build the light to the maximum
An incandescence to help make a difference in this age ....
