Seduced By Life

Life is seductive
A tease with all its many layers
The dance of the seven veils
Before your eyes
As you wander the streets
Or contemplate the latest career
Or encounter the latest cheat or scoundrel
Life is like that
Nothing is what it seems ...
It can be taken for what it appears on face value
But then it can be read differently at a depth
But then it might not mean that at all

Life is therefore a rapture
An enchantment seen differently by all
The words on the pages might not be there at all
Because no two sets of eyes ever read the same
The tapestry must be blank
It must be the DNA that receives and transmits
Which paints the story before the eyes ...
Life is a wonder in the minds of so many
But it is but a game to those who are aware
A series of circumstances prone to espionage
Open to manipulation by the understanding
Life is a domino trail
Push one and they all fall down
By design or default
A game to play to win and lose for sure
Because after it is all over and the veils dissolve
The winner is left with nothing after all
Life the seducer and the confuser
The only winner in the end
Delusional, inspirational,
But not real
Not here in this rapture anyway.
