Exposing the big lie

The general public of this world are the victim of a big lie.

Most people believe that alien activity began in 1947 with the crash of a UFO in New Mexico and a pilot's historic sighting of nine objects which 'flew like a saucer would if you skipped it across water'.

Several years ago, authors and publishers conspired to produce shelves of books 'celebrating 50 years of UFO activity', reinforcing the myth. They popularised the misconception that after WWII we suddenly attracted the attentions of extraterrestrials, when in truth the UFO phenomenon has been with us, in various guises, since written records began.

So who is the mastemind behind the big lie, and what was its purpose? Was it the ufologists? or perhaps the world's media? Or the Intelligence community? More than likely it was the aliens themselves, because that is the 2nd part to the big lie. The force behind the phenomenon have fostered a belief in visiting extraterrestrials.

It is easy to see why it was so readily embraced in the years immediately after the war. After it had ceased, there was so much talk about turning science fiction into science fact with the development if spacecraft which could fly to other worlds. Indeed, 1947 was only ten years before the first man made satellite, Sputnik 1, was put into orbit and just fourteen years prior to the first manned spaceship being successfully launched. It began to seem plausible that advanced beings from other planets had already mastered space travel.

So if alien activity has been with us since the dawn of mankind, why was it suddenly perceived as extraterrestrial? The answer is simple ... because they wanted it to be interpreted that way.

That was the lie within the lie, as there are no extraterrestrials but there are aliens ....
