A Web Of Menace

Oh the tangled webs we weave
There are many other families who grieve
Many names never to be forgotten
Many lives wrecked by an unseen hand

But if I tell you this hand
Is the same one in so many lives
Pulling the strings
Causing the untold misery and the endless grieve

So many stories to be told
So much that the outside world ne'er sees
And is not meant to see
So many trees which are not trees
(Despite the fact you're taught they are trees)

All is not what it seems
A world of deception
So many needless shattered lives
A network of wanton crime and savage cruelty

A web of menace
On a road which leads straight to the top
Into the highest echelons of power
In almost every country

A circle going round
Hidden by where there is true power
A circle which common man will never have broken
Be wary where this is concerned

Push too hard
Get to close
and your life will get expired
Too much is at stake for the truth to reach the outside world
