'Bomb' Blown Up At Ibiza Airport

Police have used a controlled explosion to blow up a suspect package at the airport on Spain's Mediterranean holiday island of Ibiza. Earlier, acting in response to a telephoned bomb threat, they had evacuated the airport, which is used by thousands of British holidaymakers. The authorities did not provide further details of the threat. But Spanish newspaper websites said three warnings had been received by the Basque daily Gara. The paper is often used by the violent Basque separatist group ETA as a conduit for such warnings. (Sky News)
