The Light Of Understanding

Come ... follow.

Where I stand, gentle waves lap a sandy shore. There is the hint of a breeze which ruffles my hair. Overhead, the sun is trying to break through early morning mists. There is a slight chill to the air. I know light has only just come to the world. Concentrate, be there with me. Feel the sand on the balls of your feet. Hear the lap of the waves on the shore. Feel the hint of the breeze. See the white clouds haloed by the yellow of the sun. See the touch of the sun on the clouds - the tinge of yellow and orange on their edges. See it, feel it, breathe it and be there.

Turn now your attention to me. Notice I am but a slip of youth. I am dressed in plain white gown. My hair is unkempt, blonde. I look at you with kind blue eyes. You know then you can trust me. I will not lead you astray. Come, follow me. Come walk with me along the beach at the water`s edge. There is many places I need to show you. Come. Get to know this beach... for it shall be our meeting point for now.

You gaze at my bare feet. See, they seem to be just like yours. My skin is pale, almost translucent. You then notice my outstretched hand ... between my fingers there is a suggestion of me having webbed hands. It is true. That is the truth. But it matters not. For you know me to be human too. I bear the same soul as you. I come from the same world as you. Human time is of no importance.

At my feet notice a simple leather-like pouch. A pouch filled with unknown things. What colour do you see my pouch? Red? Black? Yellow, maybe. Come, ponder on this for a while. Strengthen thy power of visualisation. See my pouch as it lies discarded on the beach. What wonders fill that pouch? Concentrate and you will see this pouch.

My pouch carries all the keys I have to give to you. But not all at once. Too much knowledge all at once would be too much. You need to acclimatise yourself to the visions; to the journeys; and ultimately to the expansion in your consciousness which will take place.

Now, turn your gaze back to the beach. To your feet. See your feet. See your five toes. See the impressions they make in the sand. In the golden sand. As you begin to slowly walk, notice first the cold pockets of sand and then the warm pockets. Feel the change in temperature. The feel on the balls of your feet. Concentrate and become accustomed. Now, gaze across the sea towards the horizon. See the mists there and pick out the sun behind the haze. See the myriads of colours that are painted on the clouds. See the heavenly tapestry. Gaze to the left and then to the right. Do you see any stars? Any planets? What do you see? Now, look again to the left. See the orb of light there, slightly higher than the sun. What do you think that is? The moon? A star. Concentrate and then listen. There will be a voice telling you what it is. I won`t tell you, you must find out for yourself.

Now, turn yourself around and concentrate on the beach and what is beyond the beach. What do you see? Concentrate and bring this visualisation to life. Concentrate. Forget the modern world and the hectic life you lead. Forget. This visualisation is real.

Now, take a series of deep breaths. One .... two ... three ... four ... five ..now hold that breath ... six ... seven ... eight ... nine ... ten. Hold it in. Feel yourself go light-headed. That`s it. Now blow out sharply for ten. Do it a second time and a third. Good, the modern world is forgotten.

You are ready to journey. For the first time. Along ancient avenues. Pathways forgotten by man. Pathways that lead to enlightenment.... enlightened means to be filled with light. The light of understanding. The universal light.
