Volcanic ash cloud threatens to disrupt flights between Britain and U.S.

Air passengers wanting to fly between Britain and North America face massive delays this weekend as the volcanic ash cloud spreads across busy transatlantic air routes. The plume stretching 1,250 miles across the North Atlantic is forcing most flights to divert into a sky-high traffic jam. Forecasters warned that the rapidly spreading cloud of ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokul volcano was projected to reach southern Greenland and the northwest tip of Spain by today. (Daily Mail)
