First clear pictures show the true devastation at the Fukushima nuclear plant as Japan flies unmanned drone over stricken reactor

New images have been released that show the clearest evidence yet of the destruction at Japan's Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant - which, since its near meltdown after the March 11 quake and tsunami, has raised fears of elevated radiation levels around the world. Aerial photographs show three of the four units at the coastal facility in total ruins, with debris scattered throughout the site from enormous explosions. The pictures were taken by an unmanned drone flown over the site by Japanese firm Air Photo Service. Also, poignantly, the images capture work being done by the selfless 'Fukushima 50' workers who are sacrificing their lives in a desperate bid to contain the damage. (Daily Mail)
