Is this the toughest 'find the panda' challenge yet? Now a woman's vintage school PHOTO has the web competing to see how fast they can find the stuffed bear

Daily Mail: It's panda-monium! Puzzle-lovers have been left bamboo-zled by the latest head-scratching challenge involving the fluffy black and white bear. Inspired by the illustrations of Hungarian artist Gergely Dudás (also known as Dudolf) who asked gamers to 'find the panda' amongst a flurry of snowmen, Tracy Lynn Heightchew decided to hide the animal in an old school photograph. Ms Heightchew, from Louisville, Kentucky, posted her real-life version on Facebook using the image she found in a thrift shop many years ago. It has been shared hundreds of times since it was uploaded on December 28....read more>>>...

800-Year-Old Mobile Phone Found In Austria?

A remarkable artifact has been found by a team of archaeologists in Austria. The artifact which resembles a modern day cellphone was reportedly found earlier this year by archaeologists digging in a city in the Austrian state of Salzburg.

An ‘800-year-old mobile phone’ was left behind by ALIENS in Austria

Daily Mail: Bizarre claims that archaeologists have discovered an '800-year-old mobile phone' have sent conspiracy forums into overdrive. The object, allegedly found in Austria, is thought to be a clay model of a mobile phone with cuneiform writing engraved on the keys.

The lack of information on the dig, and the objects similarity to a Nokia mobile phone, have led many people to brand it an 'elaborate hoax'.

Conspiracy website tothedeathmedia.com reported: 'According to reports, during archaeological excavations at Fuschl am See, (in Salzburg), Austria, researchers unearthed a mysterious artefact from the thirteenth century with cuneiform writing that strangely resembles a cell phone. This type of writing is typically found in modern-day Iran or Iraq (ancient Mesopotamia).' ...read more>>>...

OPINION: Why are we such a skeptical and narrow minded race? Why can't we open our minds to the VERY distinct possibility we are NOT on our own in this universe; we are not the first advanced civilisation to be on this planet. There is too much credible evidence out there that paints a totally different picture of our past than the one the conventional science and historian teaches us. Let's be open minded enough to contemplate this actually being a genuine find and that it is evidence of a previous culture or race that used mobile phones to communicate with each other? Why not? It is very very feasible with the high degree of evidence that supports the truth that previous human cultures in the long deliberately forgotten past were more highly advanced than us. Someone somewhere on this planet has had the heads up for decades about advanced technology, and they have been re-introducing it ever so slowly back into our cultures. Modern mobile phones can be a carbon copy of previous model blue prints. Why ever not? I'm open minded enough to consider the possibility without generating the fear that makes the average so skeptical and narrow minded. Can you?

Walking through Your Fear

Daily OM: The situations, activities, and individuals that frighten us remain static. Their relative intensity does not change. Fear, on the other hand, self-magnifies. It is when you are afraid and envisioning all that might go wrong that the energy underlying your fear grows. A tiny flicker of anxiety can easily develop into a terror that manifests itself physically and eventually paralyzes you into inaction. Though frequently, in walking through that fear, we discover that the strength of our fright was out of synch with reality. And we learn that doing what frightens us can lead to great blessings. Confronting your trepidation head-on will help you accept that few frightening scenarios will ever live up to the negative disasters that we sometimes play out in our minds. Though fear is literally an evolutionary gift meant to sharpen your senses and energize you during times of great stress, it can nonetheless become a barrier that prevents you from fulfilling your potential by causing you to miss out on rewarding, life-changing experiences...read more>>>...

Find the panda - heavy metal style

Daily Mail: A cartoon panda that swept the internet when it was concealed in an illustrated crowd of snowmen has resurfaced - this time hidden among a group of heavy metal fans.

Hungarian artist Gergely Dudás posted the original Christmas puzzle on his Facebook page on December 16, showing hundreds of hand-drawn snowmen with the single black and white bear hidden among them.

Now the panda has appeared in a separate brain-teaser posted on imgur, lined up between a group of cartoon rock fans...read more>>>...

And here comes Frank! NASA picture shows the NEXT storm on its way to batter flood-hit areas - as residents say deluge has transformed region into a Third World country

Daily Mail: This incredible photograph taken from space shows how Storm Frank is heading for Britain with residents of flood-hit communities in the north of England bracing themselves for further misery. Residents of some of the worst-hit areas today claimed the widespread deluge had transformed towns and villages into a 'Third World country' and said the flooding was like living in a 'war zone'. Troops and mountain rescue teams have spent much of the day evacuating residents from properties across York, after rivers toppled flood defences following heavy downpours on Boxing Day. While many were hoping the floodwaters might begin to recede in the coming days, forecasters announced that the country's sixth named storm - Frank - is heading straight for the UK, bringing 80mph winds and more than three inches of rain. The weather system, shown in spectacular images from NASA, is heading towards Britain and is expected to cause a 'significant impact' – particularly to those in the already-flooded northern regions – when it hits on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The Met Office has now issued severe amber-graded weather warnings – which advise residents to 'be prepared' for extreme weather – amid concerns the storm will bring additional flooding...read more>>>...

Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister dies at age 70

Daily Mail: Motörhead frontman Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister has died aged 70, just two days after learning he had cancer. A statement issued on Motörhead's official Facebook page revealed the veteran rocker only learnt he had the disease on Boxing Day, two days after his 70th birthday. The post read: 'There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made it’s way down the street, with his family.

'We cannot begin to express our shock and sadness, there aren’t words. We will say more in the coming days, but for now, please…play Motörhead loud, play Hawkwind loud, play Lemmy’s music LOUD. Have a drink or few.'...read more>>>...

Using Your Pain to Help Others

Daily OM: Pain is a fact of being and one that permeates all of our lives to some degree. Since the hurt we feel may be a part of the experiences that have touched us most deeply, we are often loathe to let it go. It is frequently easier to keep our pain at our sides, where it acts as a shield that shelters us from others and gives us an identity—that of victim—from which we can draw bitter strength. However, pain’s universality can also empower us to use our hurt to help others heal. Since no pain is any greater or more profound than any other, what you feel can give you the ability to help bring about the recovery of individuals whose hurts are both similar to and vastly different from your own. You can channel your pain into transformative and healing love that aids you in helping individuals on a one-to-one basis and spreading a tide of curative energy throughout the world...read more>>>...

Ezra 27.12.15

A great darkness is descending. That time is moving in close. A great wave to spread forth across the shoreline and dash the hopes of so many. Souls gather on the other side of the veil. As a distant traveller I see that which is planned by the universe. And when the train derails, know it will be a swift and merciful ending for so many. The hybrid grain amid the stomach of the restless masses will be found to be a toxin strain. So many helpless and frightened souls will learn to late of this great deception. An agenda of death descends and there is nothing that can be written to prevent the intention that comes from the highest high of this land - Ezra 27.12.15

Becoming Your Wrong Decisions

Daily Om: Our perception of the traits and characteristics that make us who we are is often tightly intertwined with how we live our life. We define ourselves in terms of the roles we adopt, our actions and inactions, our triumphs, and what we think are failures. As a result it is easy to identify so strongly with a decision that has resulted in unexpected negative consequences that we actually become that “wrong” decision. The disappointment and shame we feel when we make what we perceive as a mistake grows until it becomes a dominant part of our identities. We rationalize our “poor” decisions by labeling ourselves incompetent decision-makers. However, your true identity cannot be defined by your choices. Your essence—what makes you a unique entity—exists independently of your decision-making process. There are no true right or wrong decisions. All decisions contribute to your development and are an integral part of your evolving existence yet they are still separate from the self...read more>>>...

Madeleine McCann's parents will put presents in her untouched bedroom on ninth Christmas Day without her as they say they have 'new hope' of finding missing daughter in 2016

Daily Mail: Kate and Gerry McCann say they will put presents in Madeleine's untouched bedroom to mark the ninth Christmas without her as they express 'new hope' of finding their daughter in 2016. The couple posted a message on the Find Madeleine website saying they have 'not lost hope' of celebrating another festive period with the little girl. Mr and Mrs McCann have led an eight-year campaign to keep the search for the youngster going since she went missing while they were on holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2007.

They wrote: 'It is our 9th Christmas without Madeleine. As always, she is very much on our mind and in our hearts and Christmas preparations. We have not lost hope that we may get to celebrate another Christmas with her. If anything can drive us on, that most definitely will.' ...Read more>>>...

Red Wattlebird (Anthochaera Carunculata)

Today's Image of the Day was always going to be the first Bird Totem sighted on this morning's walk. It may be Xmas Day over here (Happy Yuletide everyone) but this didn't stop the 'out in nature' wander. Its a fairly cool 28 degrees Celsius today, which was welcomed today.

So the Red Wattlebird is today's Image of the Day ...

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for your continued support of this space. It may have changed in format slightly in the last few months ... but I'm trying to provide a bolthole here away from all the awful happenings elsewhere in the world. Its a place which hopefully vibrates on the biorhythm of nature and of spirit. A calm environment. We will be returning back to the conspiracy theories and other controversies from time to time ...

Withholding

Daily Om: The most common form of withholding is what we commonly call “the silent treatment,” but withholding encompasses any unwillingness to express your true feelings. It also includes an unwillingness to give support, praise, or positive attention to the people you love. We have all known someone who is impossible to please, and many of us have suddenly found ourselves at the other end of a chilly silence with no explanation. At the same time, many of us will recognize our own tendency to withhold our emotions rather than express them. Most of us have seen both sides of the withholding dilemma. Emotional pain is at the root of our tendency to withhold, and withholding causes pain to the people subjected to it. It is a dysfunctional pattern that creates a breakdown in communication and understanding. No one deserves to be subjected to withholding. Feeling ignored, disrespected, or shut out, and to not know why, is a terrible feeling...read more>>>...

The relationship between words and emotions

S.O.T.T: Do you feel something less strongly if you don't have a word for it?

There's plenty of disagreement over how to define emotions, but at least one thing is certain: They are intensely personal things. A flood of anger, a flash of annoyance—that feeling is yours, is a result of your own unique set of circumstances, is shaping the way you see the world at a given moment.

At the same time, though, our emotions are also shaped by the world around us, and different cultures collectively experience emotions in different ways. Korea, for example, has han, or the state of feeling sad and hopeful at the same time. Finland, Denmark, and Norway all have their own terms for the specific kind of coziness that comes from being warm on a cold day, surrounded by loved ones...read more>>>...

90% of U.S. population could be wiped out with doomsday electromagnetic weapon ... Pentagon woefully unprepared

There is growing alarm among defense planners about the uptick in nuclear weapons development taking place among the various great powers, including the United States, Russia, India and China, as well as lesser powers like North Korea and Pakistan. Missile defense is, in part, to some degree designed to mitigate the threat of a nuclear attack via ICBM. But the Pentagon is dreadfully unprepared for the fallout from an electromagnetic pulse, generated either from a nuclear explosion over our country, or from an EMP created by a giant solar flare, for which there is no defense, the UK's Daily Mail reported...read more>>>...

We Are Like Nature

Daily OM: Nature is a mirror, inspiring and teaching us, deepening our sense of belonging in the world. Wherever you look, you can see that our patterns and the patterns of the natural world are the same. You can find this resonance in every form, from molecules to plants and animals and to planets. We live our lives according to the same principles as the trees, the mountains, the clouds, and the birds.

We begin our lives in the womb, folded in on ourselves like the bud of a flower. We can see our whole lives in the mirror of this natural form. When we emerge from the womb, we slowly begin our unfolding, just as the flower begins to open its petals. At its prime, the flower draws many insects to it and also the eyes of appreciative humans. When the flower’s petals begin to fade and its life cycle comes to an end, it ceases to hold itself upright and returns to the earth...read more>>>...

Thought for the Day

"When we know that the cause of something is in ourselves, and that we (ourselves) are one of the few things in the universe that we have the right and ability to change, we begin to get a sense of the choices we really do have, an inkling of the power we have, a feeling of being in charge... of our lives, of our future, of our dreams."  -- John-Roger and Peter McWilliams

Before the Fall: Evidence For a Golden Age

If you asked them what life was like in prehistoric times, most people would conjure up an image like the famous opening scenes of 2001: Space Odyssey – groups of hairy savages grunting and jumping around, foaming at the mouth with aggression as they bash each over the heads with sticks. We take it for granted that life was much harder then, a battle to survive, with everyone competing to find food, struggling against the elements, men fighting over women, and everyone dying young from disease or malnutrition.

A whole branch of science has grown up around this view of the human race’s early history. This is relatively new discipline of evolutionary psychology, which tries to explain all of the negative sides of human nature as adaptations which early people developed because they had some survival value...read more>>>...

The Ripple Effect

Daily Om: In a world of six billion people, it’s easy to believe that the only way to initiate profound transformation is to take extreme action. Each of us, however, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others. As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward. The impact you have on the world is greater than you could ever imagine, and the choices you make can have far-reaching consequences. You can use the ripple effect to make a positive difference and spread waves of kindness that will wash over the world. Should the opportunity arise, the recipient of a good deed will likely feel compelled to do a good deed for someone else. Someone feeling the effects of negative energy will be more likely to pass on that negative energy...read more>>>...

The most bizarre photobomb ever? Russian woman discovers GHOST ALIEN looking over her shoulder in passenger jet selfie

Daily Mail: A Russian businesswoman has discovered a mysterious 'ghost alien' in a selife she took on board a passenger jet. Olesya Podkorytov from Kurgan in south-central Russia said at first she had not noticed the mysterious figure in her picture.

It was only when she shared the image online that she was flooded with comments alerting her to the shadowy outline a few seats behind her.

Podkorytov had been on a business trip and said she was not sure why she suddenly decided to take a picture of herself - because it was not something she usually did. She said: 'I uploaded the picture on my social media page, and then all the questions and comments hit me. Only after that I realised there was a bizarre-looking image of a creature behind me.' ...read more>>>...

Staying on Track

Daily OM: In a world where we have routines for nearly everything—our route to work, our physical fitness regimen, and our weekday schedule—it’s amazing how many people forget to create a routine for meeting their spiritual needs. We run around in an attempt to be at our many appointments on time and meet our many obligations. In our efforts to be as productive as possible, however, our spiritual needs tend to take a backseat. After all, taking care of our spiritual needs doesn’t directly pay the bills or tone our abdominal muscles. We may even wonder who has time to meditate or write in their journal when there are more pressing matters to see to. The truth is that nurturing ourselves spiritually is what gives us the energy and grounding that we need to make sure that our lives stay on track. How you choose to nurture yourself spiritually is a personal choice. For some people, meditating once a day may be what they need to stay centered...read more>>>...

This Is Only The Beginning

Things have been different on this 'planet' for quite a while. But more noticeably so in the last few months. Its becoming more obvious to both the sensitive and the insensitive. No longer is it a mystical experience that only the empath would feel. For many years, the type of change being explained here, was unavailable to the 'uninitiated'. It was once a fanciful expression, this 'enlightenment' or this 'time of awakening'. Until now. 2012 came and went with no apparent change. 2013 came and went. 2014 with no enlightenment only apparent increased acts of violence and unrest.

2015 began and about half way through the year it all began to start. An intense time of emotional upheaval coming out of the blue. Leaving those that experience it a sense that life is no longer the same. An experience which isn't seen ... but is most certainly felt.

It is nu-nerving and unsettling. Its resultant sensitivity divides and separates people who were seemingly at one stage inseparable. Until now. If you've experienced this, then you know exactly what is being described. And this is only the beginning. This powerful shift is only going to get stronger and stronger. The awakening has now most surely begun.

And for those who've spent their lives to this point preparing, life is no longer the same. All that was theory and fable, there in the back of their minds, is now ever so real. More real that manifest life around them ...   Matthew James
