A First Lesson

When you first set out ... there is great excitement; a buzz within your psyche. You have arrived, and the world is going to recognise you. Finally you have so much to give ... and a world ready to listen to what you have to say.

... that is only the ego talking ...

You are shown what you can be, and then the mountain that must be climbed to attain that selfless, egoless state ....

... a journey which can take a life time ...

But to the young and inexperienced mystic, that voice of reason doesn't know what its talking about. So the young mystic uses its inexperience in the only way it can ... thus failing the vital first lesson set before it. A first lesson that is likely to repeat over and over again in its life ... until it realises what must be done.
