Favourite's Collection #218
This a Sparrow. A UK native bird that is now an extremely rare sight in the UK countryside. Prior to our emigration to the Southern Hemisphere, in 2001, they were still widespread. Since coming back to the UK I've probably spotted about 10 - 15 where I would have at one time seen about 400 - 500. Seriously! There used to be dozens of Sparrows flying about everywhere. Now, you can go weeks without seeing one. I've included this in my Favourite's Collection as a sad reminder of what once was before WIFI and electromagnetic pollution.
