Horror bushfires are set to surge as temperatures soar to 44C and strong winds create hellish conditions for firefighters

[Daily Mail Australia]: Fire crews are bracing for the return of hellish fire conditions across New South Wales as temperatures soar and winds pick up.

Temperatures are expected to reach 40C in Nowra on the South Coast, 43C in Penrith in western Sydney, 41C in Cessnock in the Hunter region and 42C in Bulahdelah on the mid-north coast.

NSW Rural Fire Service spokesman Ben Shepherd said low humidity and north westerly winds have firefighters bracing for a potentially dangerous day on Thursday.
