Who Can Remember Life Before The Internet?

I would like to thank Virgin Media for giving us the opportunity last night, from 6.55pm onwards, to be able to remember how life was BEFORE the dreaded internet.

We sat there listening to music, and talking and remembering life prior to 1998, which was when we first got the internet.

Most of the modern technology reliant citizens of mankind would have gone stir crazy last night if their internet went down.

NO social media platforms; no e-mails; no games; no metaverse visits; no web surfing. What would they have done for 5 hours?

We found it refreshing to have the technology in the house switched off. It meant that A Light In The Darkness had to suffer with posts, but it was a small price to pay.

It didn't last ... waking up this morning we were greeted with the internet light on the router. It may well be we will have regular nights when we switch it all off to rest from its EMF risks and the tinnitus issues ...

Oh to be back in 1998 when a phone was just that, a phone. When you went to the library for information. When people used to talk to each other properly. When a fax machine was the means of documentation transportation. Before the blasted e-mails.
