Huge UFO Stopped a US Nuclear Submarine: The USS Memphis Incident

This account, first brought to light by ufologist Frank Joseph and detailed in his 2018 book, Military Encounters with Extraterrestrials: The Real War of the Worlds, originated from an unnamed witness. The incident reportedly took place on the night of October 24-25, 1989.

The USS Memphis, a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine, was submerged at a depth of 150 meters (approximately 492 feet), about 150 miles off the coast of Florida. While the exact nature of their mission wasn’t specified, it was described simply as a “training mission.”

Suddenly, the situation took a dramatic and unsettling turn. The crew immediately recognized the gravity and unusual nature of what was unfolding. The submarine effectively lost control, and all communication systems went dead.

When the captain issued an order to stop, the nuclear reactor itself began to malfunction. An urgent decision was made to surface, and fortunately, this crucial control function still worked.

The eyewitness, who later shared his story with the ufologist, rushed to his observation post to survey the exterior. He was reportedly stunned by what he saw: the night sky above the submarine was glowing brightly, “like a neon-red night sign.” Simultaneously, heavy rain was falling.

Moments later, the witness observed a massive, boomerang-shaped or “V”-shaped object in the sky, moving to the left of the submarine. Using a laser rangefinder, the object was determined to be approximately 200 meters (about 656 feet) away and at least half a mile long (roughly 800 meters, or 2,625 feet)....<<<Read More>>>...
