UN created a global disinformation task force; now it’s taking control of information through “AI governance”

In 2024, the UN created a new task force on disinformation. This task force is not about addressing misinformation or disinformation that would lead to any type of real-world truth. Its sole purpose is to focus on how certain information would affect achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030).

Last week, the UN held a “Global Dialogue on AI Governance.”

The task force and AI governance are linked in their desire to control the information the public is allowed to see under the guise of safeguarding information integrity.
