7.4 quake shakes Kermadec Island Off New Zealand

The quake struck at 6:57 a.m. local time on Saturday and was centered 230 kilometers (143 miles) east of Raoul Island, Radio New Zealand reported. The Kermadec Islands lie about 1,200 kilometers (800 miles) north of the North Island of New Zealand. There have been no reports of damage.
