Being Aware of Your Thoughts
Few people enjoy the company of individuals whose attitudes are persistently negative. Yet many of us tolerate the critical chatter that can originate within our own minds. Since we are so used to the stream of self-limiting, critical consciousness that winds its way through our thoughts, we are often unaware of the impact these musings have on our lives. It is only when we become aware of the power of such thoughts that we can divest ourselves of them and fill the emptiness they leave with loving, peaceful affirmations. Many people, upon paying careful attention to their thinking patterns, are surprised at the negativity they find there. But when we take notice of involuntary thoughts in a nonjudgmental way, we initiate a healing process that will eventually allow us to replace intimidating and upsetting self-talk with positive, empowering thoughts. While the occasional downbeat or judgmental thought may have little impact on your contentment, the ongoing negativity that passes unnoticed can have a dampening effect on your mood and your outlook. When you are aware of the tone of your thoughts, however, you can challenge them. Try to be conscious of your feelings, opinions, and judgments for a single day. From sunup to sundown, scrutinize the messages you are feeding into your subconscious mind. Consider your thoughts from the perspective of a detached observer and try not to judge yourself based on the notions that come unbidden into your mind. Simply watch the flow of your consciousness and make a note of the number of times you find yourself focusing on gloomy notions or indulging in self-directed criticism. As you become increasingly aware of your patterns of thought, whether positive and negative, you will gradually learn to control the character of your stream of consciousness. Endeavor always to remember that the images and ideas that pass through your mind are transient and not a true representation of who you are. In training yourself to be cognizant of your thoughts, you gain the ability to actively modulate your mood. The awareness you cultivate within yourself will eventually enable you to create a foundation of positivity from which you can build a more authentic existence.

The real-life Blob: Is mysterious translucent jelly found in Cumbrian Fells from outer space?
The Lake District fells have been invaded by 'The Blob', a translucent jelly which is said in folklore to be from outer space. Within the past week the mysterious translucent jelly has materialised in and around the fells of Patterdale, Cumbria. While some put the mysterious goo down to meteor showers, others say the strange substance appears during rutting season. The substance is known as 'Star Jelly' and some say is left over from meteor showers but its sporadic appearance around the world has continually dumb-founded scientists. The last reported sighting came in 2009 when it was discovered in the hills of Scotland....read more>>>....
"Spectral Eagle"
Atop the towering peaks he sits once more,
The sun in flames below … sinking 'neath the horizon now,
The freedom of the day lost to the weary climb back down …
To the lake shore and the fire's embers,
To the wintry chill …
And the sense of foreboding which haunts the canyon basin.
"Beware" … cried the soaring eagle in the hazy light of the morning,
Awakening him … warning him … preparing him …
Invading spectres walked the shore …
They'd haunted his dreams the night before ….
"My friend … give me the insight" was his weary reply …
A mental link with his regal friend …
Then with clear sight … and the clarity of the eagle …
He sees warriors approaching the entry to the canyon …
Painted faces … poison tipped arrows awaiting their target …
He knew … this was the day dark forces came to claim this shore.
Like the wind his mind flew,
Silently on the wing … with deadly eyes,
Soaring, soaring, hovering … watching
Then plummeting down ….
Down, down …
Razor sharp talons digging deep … deeper …
It's unsuspecting pray seeing a spectre … fall from the sky …
Too late … too quick for warrior to put arrow to bow
The spectre joined in battle by another …
The 'battle' over before it had begun,
The threat of the marauders ended …
The spectre fading into the sunlight …
The regal eagle soaring on the thermals with a triumphant cry.
The lone shaman waking from his slumber then …
Sensing the preternatural chill in the air,
But knowing the threat had ceased into the next ones came …
His hallowed shore safe then … at least for a while.

Learning To Trust Divine Guidance
Anyone who has asked for divine guidance knows that it can be challenging to trust it when it comes. This is because divine guidance comes in many forms and it is sometimes hard to locate it. We aren’t sure if we are meant to trust our thoughts, our feelings, our dreams, or our intuitions to be the carriers of divine wisdom. We are not sure if advice from a friend is the form in which the guidance has come into the world, or if our own opinion is the source of wisdom we need to take seriously. The ability to sort all this out comes with trial and error, and the best way to learn to recognize divine guidance is to engage in the process of asking and receiving. Sometimes when we ask for guidance, we already have a sense of what we want to hear. At such times, receiving guidance can be difficult, because we don’t want to hear anything that appears to be in opposition to our desire. Therefore, one of the most important qualities we need to cultivate if we are to receive guidance is an open mind. It helps to acknowledge what we want, and then to symbolically set it aside, making room for whatever wisdom comes through to us. Cultivating an active relationship with the divine is the essential ingredient to being able to receive and trust guidance when it comes our way. We can make a daily practice of this by using a set of runes, a deck of cards, or a pendulum. We can also use our journals, developing a relationship with the divine through the written word. As we request and receive guidance, we might take notes on our experiences. Over time we will begin to recognize when we were able to hear correctly and when we were not. In this way, we will gradually attune ourselves to our particular relationship with the divine. Begin to trust the guidance you are receiving and soon you will find it flowing with ease.

There are two kinds of happiness, mental happiness and outer happiness. Outer happiness comes through meeting with an external object, and is transitory. Mental happiness comes about through meditation and positive thought, it is stable and does not cause suffering. One cannot be happy if one does not have mental happiness, no matter how abundant the external sources of outer happiness are, but if one is truly happy in ones mind, then one is unaffected by outer problems---Ven. Sacred Sight: Improving Vision Naturally
One, two, buckle my shoe. Three, four, knock at the door. Five, six, pick up sticks …And so the nursery rhyme goes. Preschool kids learn to count in many fun ways to give them a head start in arithmetic. Once they enter the formalised school system, the subject matter eventually takes on a more serious “measure.” As the grades advance, the material progresses into more complex and diverse subjects, such as geometry, trigonometry, algebra and calculus. The focus of formalised mathematical education is all about quantity, for numeracy is as important as literacy in our Western world of clocks, commerce and computers. This type of calculation, although very pragmatic, is really only half the equation. The educational system is usually devoid of any reference to the quality of numbers. The ancient traditions of “sacred number” and “sacred geometry” have been largely snuffed out over time. The deeper spiritual aspect – studying the repeating shapes, forms, symbols and patterns in nature – is all but lost in our work-a-day world. We need to bring these esoteric traditions back into view, and what better way to begin than with vision itself....read more>>>...

A Word on 'Mental' Mediumship
Mental Mediumship is simply a form of communication between a spiritual entity and an earthbound 'medium' where the mind of the medium is the receiver for this information. The best comparison for this type of communication is to liken the mediumship to a 'telephonist'. A telephonist answers a phone call and there is a person on the line wishing to be connected another person. Similarly, mental mediumship is where the medium receives a 'call' from the spirit realm; the medium then connects this call to the person in need of the 'connection'. The only difference is, that the medium does most of the talking, 'delivering the message', and depending on how good he/she is at making the link depends on the clarity of the message being given.
Mental Mediumship falls into a number of 'popularised' categories; the three main ones being:
1. "Clairvoyance" or the process of 'clear seeing' the information;
2. "Clairsentience" or the process of 'clear sensing' the information;
3. "Clairaudience" or the process of 'clear hearing' the information.

The Braz-alien rainforest: Is this creature pictured in the Amazon jungle a visitor from outer-space?
As biologically diverse as the Amazon is, this peculiar creature would not appear to be a natural inhabitant of the Brazilian jungle or, indeed, Earth for that matter. Standing just a few feet from a mesmerising flashing light, this unidentified being could offer proof that we are not alone in the universe. The image comes from a video obtained by noted paranormal writer Michael Cohen and is claimed to have been filmed by two British tourists visiting the Mamaus region of the Amazon. While the camera is focused on some young children, seen in the distance behind them is a silvery light. However, it is only when the eyes are diverted to the surrounding jungle does it become apparent that there is a small being standing side-on just to the right of a tree, appearing to arch its back. It is the 'unmistakable' form of an 'alien'. No explanation is offered as to what the light may be....read more>>>...
The Spiritual Maturity
To walk on the path of spiritual ascent must be discernment and introspection to analyze what is expected of such a transformation process. Most operators of light are not aware of the wishes hidden that under the mask of spirituality sabotage their life and journey of spiritual elevation. Many people addressed the spiritual life as a device to resolve their labor, physical, mental, psychological problems and obtain better quality of life. Due to ignorance and misinformation, take refuge in all sorts of techniques and processes that are supposed to give them happiness that so much are hankering for and do not get through conventional methods that supply the system. Depending on the level of evolution that one has it vibrates in a certain frequency that attracts ideologies, concepts, values and processes that supposedly produce a comprehensive welfare on the individual. But if we make an objective assessment of the situation in the world of spirituality we can detect a lot of confusion, conflict and disagreement. Although each individual is in a specific stage of evolution, there are universal factors that are common at all levels of evolution. The problem of the techniques and procedures for spiritual growth, which now abound in your world, is that limit the person blocking its spiritual progress. All methodologies and processes are mechanisms that must promote the spiritual growth of individuals to bring them to the pinnacle of perfection, which is recover immortality and return to the level of divine love and selfless service. There are many spiritual schools, and each one of them thinks that has the monopoly of the spiritual ascent, when actually are partial expressions of a specific level of evolution....read more>>>...
Antibiotics Could be to Blame for Skyrocketing Mental Illness Rates
A new report published in the popular journal Nature has revealed that antibiotics are permanently destroying beneficial bacteria within the gut, a condition scientists link to mental illness. While it has been known for some time that antibiotics contribute to the development of drug-resistant superbugs and certain gut problems, the link between antibiotic use and mental illness through the permanent destruction of beneficial bacteria only further tops the pharmaceutical paradigm. In fact, the pharmaceutical paradigm set in place by drug makers is so vast that it actually offers drug-based 'solutions' to the very problems that drugs originally created! After kids are given excessive amounts of antibiotics that lead to the destruction of their gut health and the subsequent onset of mental illness, they are then given deadly antipsychotics and other psychiatric drugs to 'treat' the condition that originated from pharmaceutical drug use. It is a system that, whether purposeful or not, generates large profits for many prescription-happy doctors and drug manufacturers alike. Perhaps the most troubling part of this system is the massive fraud committed by financially-invested corporations to stop the truth about these drugs and other mainstream medical 'treatments' from getting to the general public...read more>>>...

The path that speeds us toward our dreams can be a challenging and complex one, so it’s easy to get bogged down in confusion and insecurities. We often hesitate at the start of that path, questioning our purpose or our capabilities. Yet we should be moving forward joyously, eager to discover what destiny has in store for us. The universe has plans for us that eclipse anything we have dreamed of thus far. Though we must work diligently to fulfill our potential and to accomplish our individual missions, the universe is aware of both the quests we chose before birth and the goals we have formulated in adulthood. If we accept that it us watching over us and believe that it will facilitate our eventual success, the universe will provide us with the assistance and opportunities that enable us to make significant progress on our journeys of ambition. Nothing happens without a purpose. Whether we attract success or repel it depends on our willingness to stay open to a wide range of possibilities and to embrace concepts like synchronicity. The universe is always ready to care for our needs, but we must not write off its loving attention as mere circumstance or chance. Likewise, we must endeavor to ensure that our egos do not become a barrier that prevents us from recognizing that even perceived mistakes and strife can be profound lessons that smooth the progress of personal evolution. When we understand that we only need to enthusiastically try our best to realize our objectives, the universe will take care of the details, propelling us forward in its unstoppable current. We may not always immediately understand the significance of certain experiences, but our trust will help us choose wisely at each crossroads. The universe wants to see you accomplish your goals. No matter how long you’ve dallied or hesitated, it will always be there to put its plan for you in motion at the first sign of your faith. You can make the most of this aid by acquiescing to it rather than fighting it—nurture your dreams but do not attempt to micromanage every detail along the way. The universe will provide you with guidance and, if you heed that guidance, you will find your formerly stressful quest for success will become a journey of great joy.

Imagine that you had gone all your life without ever washing, and then one day you decide to take a shower. You start scrubbing away, but then watch in horror as the dirt begins to ooze out of the pores of your skin and stream down your body. Something must be wrong: You were supposed to be getting cleaner and all you can see is grime. You panic and fling yourself out of the shower, convinced that you should never have begun. But you only end up even more dirty than before. You have no way of knowing that the wisest thing to do is to be patient and to finish the shower. It may look for a while as if you are getting even dirtier, but if you keep on washing, you will emerge fresh and clean. It’s all a process, the process of purification.
Whenever doubt arises, see it simply as an obstacle, recognize it as an understanding that is calling out to be clarified or unblocked, and know that it is not a fundamental problem but simply a stage in the process of purification and learning. Allow the process to continue and complete itself, and never lose your trust or resolve. Reincarnation And Past Life Regression
One way to look at it, is when we examine the process of sleeping, dreaming and waking, it resembles closely of the process of death, intermediate state, and rebirth. When we experience deep sleep, to others we look like a dead person, finally when we wake up, our normal powers of memory and mental control are restored and our dream world disappears leaving us with the way we perceive the world in the waking state. A similar process occurs when we die, some say, the experience of the clear light of death maybe similar to the experience of deep sleep. Reincarnation is the belief that when someone dies, that person is reborn in another body. People have different beliefs about reincarnation, one of them is that, we do not necessary come back as human. One may have been a spider in a past life, and one may be a carrot or a parrot, so make sure you’re careful about what you are treading on in the future. Some monks meditate all day long to achieve the state of ultimate bliss (nirvana) in order to escape from the wheel of rebirth. You can prepare yourself in this life to be as sinless as possible so you can come back as a person, according to some believers. Some people are able to regress to a past life under Hypnosis, recalling different reincarnation cases, seeking the causes of today's problems in the experiences of previous life, explaining sometimes that strange phenomena....read more>>>...

The Cult of the Plausible Lie
Ever since ancient times, philosophers and religious thinkers representing various attitudes in different cultures have been searching for the truth as regards moral values, attempting to find criteria for what is right, what constitutes good advice. They described the virtues of human character and suggested these be acquired. They created a heritage ... which contains centuries of experience and reflections. In spite of the obvious differences among attitudes, the similarity or complementarity of the conclusions reached by famous ancients are striking, even though they worked in widely divergent times and places. After all, whatever is valuable is conditioned and caused by the laws of nature acting upon the personalities of both individual human beings and collective societies. It is equally thought-provoking, however, to see how relatively little has been said about the opposite side of the coin; the nature, causes, and genesis of evil. These matters are usually cloaked behind the above generalized conclusions with a certain amount of secrecy. Such a state of affairs can be partially ascribed to the social conditions and historical circumstances under which these thinkers worked. Their modus operandi may have been dictated at least in part by personal fate, inherited traditions, or even prudishness. After all, justice and virtue are the opposites of force and perversity, the same applies to truthfulness vs. lies, similarly like health is the opposite of an illness. The character and genesis of evil thus remained hidden in discreet shadows, leaving it to playwrights to deal with the subject in their highly expressive language, but that did not reach the primeval source of the phenomena. A certain cognitive space thus remains uninvestigated, a thicket of moral questions which resists understanding and philosophical generalizations (S.O.T.T) ...read more>>>...
Pendulum Motion
Using a pendulum is a simple way to clarify messages from intuition or inspiration. With its minimal construction of a weight, or bob, allowed to swing freely from a piece of cord or chain, it gives us a visual understanding of the subtle energies that influence us. When we ask a question using the pendulum, we may receive answers from our own intuition or from our spirit guides or angels. The process, known as “dowsing” or “divining,” is also useful to check our energy centers or even to find lost articles. Whether it is our energy or the whispers of our guides creating the motion, the pendulum helps us better understand the secret language of spirit. Your pendulum can be anything that feels right to you: a crystal pendant, wood or metal ornaments, a seashell, an item with sentimental value, or even an acorn on a string. The key is that it must be balanced so it can swing freely. Before and after each session, you may want to purify your pendulum, perhaps by using salt water or burning sage or incense. Focus on becoming still and choose who you would like to answer your questions, your higher self or your spirit guides or guardian angels. By asking questions whose answers you already know and watching the corresponding movements, you can learn what “yes” and “no” look like. Your pendulum may move forward and back for “yes” and side-to-side for “no,” or perhaps a variety of circular motions will be your indicators. For some people, movement comes easily as they are more in tune with working with energy, but do not give up if you do not get movement right away. Determining a neutral state, which may be stillness or another distinct motion, can help avoid confusion as well. Once you are familiar with your pendulum, you can use it to check the energy of a room, or use a pendulum over your chakras to see if they are blocked or open. When we make a practice of listening to our spiritual guidance, we find it more accessible to us in general. The use of a tool like the pendulum can only help us gain mastery in this understanding, allowing us to transform our lives into playgrounds for manifesting our gifts and dreams.

Instinctive Nutrition
When humanity was young, it possessed instincts that inspired early man to eat only those foods that would keep the body healthy and strong. As time passed, however, this diet of nutritious raw foods was replaced by one of processed grains, cooked meats and vegetables, and preservatives. Though the healthy-eating instinct was buried deep within us, it emerges from time to time when we choose a fresh, whole food appropriate to our bodies' needs. Imagine the sweet scent of ripe pineapple and then the first heavenly bite. After the tenth bite, the pineapple is no longer as wonderful. It may taste sour or dry. The initial pleasure and the eventual unpleasantness are the cues of instinctive (Anopson) nutrition. Physicist and cellist Guy-Claude Burger proposed that each of us possesses an innate nutritional knowledge of which foods we need to achieve metabolic balance. He believed that humans are genetically adapted only to foods in their original state: raw, unprocessed fruits, vegetables, meats, seafoods, pollens, honey, nuts and some grains and dairy. When you have a need for a certain food, that food will smell and taste incredibly alluring. But the reaction is dynamic and when your body's need has been fulfilled, the flavor abruptly changes, indicating that you should switch to another food or end your meal. Instinctive nutrition also advocates eating only one food at a time, or mono-eating, to allow you to experience the unique pleasure of each individual food. Food can make us healthy and can make us ill. Eating via instinct protects your body from artificial foods and pollutants, and leads to better health, even-temperedness and increased concentration through better nutrition and immune response. Instinctive nutrition also fosters a deeper relationship with yourself because you are creating a health regime designed just for you. Listening to your body and observing its needs on the dietary level is a simple way to begin intuitively caring for yourself, every day. (Daily OM)
Government Front Group Vows to Abolish Critical Thinking
Government front group Demos, an integral part of the British establishment which was founded by Marxists, is terrified that children are using the Internet to question what they are taught in school, and has vowed to abolish any such critical thinking to reinforce the education system’s role as a tool of indoctrination. A BBC News report reflects Demos’ panic at “conspiracy theories” (ie any critical thought that questions the official consensus) being brought into the classroom. It’s a delicious irony that we’ve highlighted many times before and it underpins the entire education system. While complaining that children are not engaging in “critical thinking,” Demos, a government front group, is abolishing any notion of critical thinking by telling students that they should only believe what the government and the mainstream media tells them is true – the same establishment that has been caught proliferating lies time and time again. In reality, it is the very fact that students are increasingly engaging in “critical thinking,” ie questioning the official version of events, that has the likes of Demos so petrified. Having been caught lying and covering-up all manner of scandals, from the WMD farce, to Climategate, to the death of Dr. David Kelly, the British establishment and its sycophantic media cheerleaders like the BBC are losing credibility fast, that’s why young people are turning to alternative sources of information to try and get the truth, something deemed intolerable by the system. 6. Your conscious mind is your logical, rational mind
6. Your conscious mind is your logical, rational mind. It will never accept an idea that does not make 100% logical, rational sense. If you noticed just 1% of an idea did not make logical sense, you would question it. And you might reject the entire idea if that 1% didn’t make sense. But your Subconscious Mind is your il-logical, or ir-rational mind. It will believe ANYTHING whether it makes logical sense or not. It never questions or analyzes anything you tell it. So when using your subconscious mind to get what you want, set your sights as high as you can…don’t think what you’re affirming doesn’t make logical sense. Your subconscious mind will not think that. Some Buddhist Inspiration
Anger cannot be overcome by anger. If a person shows anger to you, and you show anger in return, the result is a disaster. In contrast, if you control your anger and show its opposite--love, compassion, tolerance, and patience--then not only will you remain in peace, but the anger of others also will gradually diminish. No one can argue with the fact that in the presence of anger, peace is impossible. Only through kindness and love can peace of mind be achieved.
...human beings can judge and reason; we understand consequences and think in the long term. It is also true that human beings can develop infinite love.... However, when humans become angry; all of this potential is lost. No enemy armed with mere weapons can undo these qualities, but anger can. It is the destroyer.
If you look deeply into such things, the blueprint for our actions can be found within the mind. Self-defeating attitudes arise not of their own accord but out of ignorance. Success, too, is found within ourselves. Out of self-discipline, self-awareness, and clear realization of the defects of anger and the positive effects of kindness will come peace---How to Expand Love: Widening the Circle of Loving Relationships

A Word On "Dionysus"
He was the god of fertility and wine, later considered a patron of the arts. He invented wine and spread the art of tending grapes. He has a dual nature. On the one hand bringing joy and devine ecstasy. On the other brutal, unthinking, rage. Thus, reflecting both sides of wines nature. If he choses Dionysus can drive a man mad. No normal fetters can hold him or his followers....read more>>>....
5. The Subconscious Mind gives you what you want quicker if when saying affirmations you feel the emotion you would feel when you got it.
5. The Subconscious Mind gives you what you want quicker if when saying affirmations you feel the emotion you would feel when you got it. It was spoken of earlier that the key to harnessing your mind power is to trick the subconscious mind into thinking that you have what you want NOW. And since the subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined, pretend you feel happy when you affirm you have what you want. Isn’t that how you would feel if you had it? Just imagine those happy feelings. (New Age Articles)

The Deathly Icing on the Cake: Revealing the Cancerous Truth About Aspartame
Aspartame, the artificial sweetener found in many diet sodas and used as an ‘alternative’ sweetener, has been found recently to have detrimental – specifically, cancerous – effects. A study performed by researcher Victoria Innes-Brown, after mounting concerns with how much diet coke her family members seemed to consume daily, showed that of 48 rats experimented on up to 67 percent of all females developed tumors roughly the size of golf balls or larger. The male population didn’t do too well either: 21 percent of the males developed similar cancerous growths...read more>>>...
4. The Subconscious Mind thinks in infinite or absolute terms, not in finite or partial terms.
4. The Subconscious Mind thinks in infinite or absolute terms, not in finite or partial terms. Let’s say you want to use affirmations to be better in your career. As an example, we’ll say you’re a salesperson. Formulate your affirmation this way: “I’m the greatest salesperson of all time. EVERY prospect I meet becomes a client”. Will you get a sale with EVERY prospect? Most likely not, but maybe 50-75% of the time you will. That’s a great conversion rate. If you affirm…”I turn MOST prospects into clients”, you’ll greatly diminish your results because “MOST” is a partial or finite term or idea in which the subconscious mind does not think. Is it OK to copy material from a website?
The short answer to this question is "no," unless the author's permission has been received. Copying material from a website and posting in on another website or publishing it in a newsletter, for example, may violate the copyright of the person who developed the website. The information need not have a copyright notice or symbol associated with it to be copyrighted, because copyright protection arises as soon as an author creates a work of original expression and fixes it in a tangible medium. The contents of a website are no different than the contents of a book or magazine in terms of copyright protection; the fact that website publishing is vastly easier than other types of publishing makes no difference. Copyright law allows "fair use" of small parts of copyrighted works without the permission of the author. If the reproduction is for the purpose of criticism, news reporting, teaching, or research it is more likely to be fair use than if it is copied for commercial purposes. It is difficult to make this determination in advance, however. (Findlaw)
What Happened to Downtime? The Extinction of Deep Thinking & Sacred Space
Interruption-free space is sacred. Yet, in the digital era we live in, we are losing hold of the few sacred spaces that remain untouched by email, the internet, people, and other forms of distraction. Our cars now have mobile phone integration and a thousand satellite radio stations. When walking from one place to another, we have our devices streaming data from dozens of sources. Even at our bedside, we now have our iPads with heaps of digital apps and the world's information at our fingertips. There has been much discussion about the value of the "creative pause" - a state described as "the shift from being fully engaged in a creative activity to being passively engaged, or the shift to being disengaged altogether." This phenomenon is the seed of the break-through "a-ha!" moments that people so frequently report having in the shower. In these moments, you are completely isolated, and your mind is able to wander and churn big questions without interruption.

In the Thick of It
When we are “in the thick of it,” overwhelmed by too many things that need our attention, it’s important to remember that we are never given more than we can handle. When life’s challenges make us question this, our best coping mechanism is to follow the reliable and well-known course to our calm center and anchor ourselves there. It is for these times that we have been practicing regularly, so that our mind, body, and spirit will know how to find the peace within. Even in the midst of seeming chaos, a deep breath can help us turn within to find the space to work from, the calm at the center of the storm. Tapping into our inner resources we begin again, bringing our focus to the needs of the present moment. Asking “why?” shifts our energy away from the task at hand. We can seek answers to those questions once we get to the other side of the present challenge. For now, we accept what is. Once we have collected scattered energy and created space, inspiration will strike, help will arrive, and what seemed impossible will either become possible or we will find it has become unnecessary. The flow of the universe and its perfect order has room to move in our lives when we get ourselves and our extraneous thoughts out of the way. After the thick has become thin again, we have the opportunity to learn from the situation with a better idea of our true capabilities. We can now ask ourselves the “why” questions with the goal of fine-tuning our lives. Perhaps we have taken on more than is ours to do or made commitments out of obligation rather than insight. It could just be the ebb and flow and life, or we may be receiving life lessons on a fast track in preparation for something wonderful to come. But when we have a chance to make new choices, we know the best ones are made when we work from center.

3. The Subconscious Mind learns by repetition…over and over again. When you learn any new skill, you have to practice it a lot, not a little. When learning to harness the power of your subconscious mind, you’re learning a new skill, so you have to use it over and over again. When you say affirmations to get what you want, you can’t just say them once and expect them to work. You have to say them over and over again until your subconscious mind acts upon them. But as with all skills, the more you use your subconscious mind to get what you want, the easier it works...read more>>>...
Cashless payment bracelet allows access to medical records, personal information
Marketed as a simple and convenient way to carry identification, make payments, and furnish quick and easy access to medical records in the event of an emergency -- all with one single bracelet. But the VITAband also has the potential to become a serious invasion of privacy as it allows third parties to access personal data and other information, all of which is linked to a users individual ID tag. If the US government suspects you might be a "terrorist," it already has the ability to access and monitor, in real time, your credit and debit card transactions as they occur, as well as listen in on your landline and mobile phone calls. But if you tie your personal medical records and other information directly to your credit card use through VITAband, imagine just how much more exposed your personal information will be....read more>>...

2. The Subconscious Mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined. Have you ever got into a heated argument with someone and noticed that your heart started to beat quickly? It was your subconscious mind – which controls all your bodily functions – that caused that. Has someone ever made you mad but you were afraid to confront them at the time? So you practiced how you were going to tell them off the next chance you got? Did you notice your heart started to beat faster? Your subconscious mind also caused it because it believed the confrontation was happening. You were only imagining it. Breathing Life Into an Extinct Ethnicity
The Taínos were the first Native Americans to meet European explorers in the Caribbean. They soon fell victim to the diseases and violence brought by the outsiders, and today no Taínos remain. But the footprints of this extinct ethnicity are scattered throughout the genomes of modern Puerto Ricans, according to geneticist Carlos Bustamante at the Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California. On average, the genomes of Puerto Ricans contain 10 to 15% Native American DNA, which is largely Taíno, says Bustamante. At a presentation at the 12th International Congress of Human Genetics in Montreal, Canada, Bustamante described preliminary results from a study that aims to reconstruct the genetic features of the Taíno people. The cryptic information was found in the genomes of 70 modern Puerto Ricans, some of the latest additions to the ongoing 1000 Genomes project, an international consortium whose goal is to find the variations in DNA sequence among the genomes of all human populations...read more>>>...
Putting Yourself First
We have all heard the instructions of an airline attendant reminding us to put on our own oxygen mask before we help anyone else with theirs. This advice is often cited as a metaphor for self-care because it so accurately expresses why it is important. It seems to say, ironically, that if you can’t take care of yourself for yourself, do it for others. Few situations in our daily lives mimic the wake-up call of an airplane emergency, so it’s easy to keep putting self-care off—easy, that is, until we get sick, overwhelmed, or exhausted, and suddenly don’t have the energy to care for the people who count on us. That’s when we realize we haven’t been getting the oxygen we need to sustain ourselves. We begin to understand that taking care of ourselves is neither selfish nor indulgent; it’s just plain practical. Putting yourself first means that it may be necessary to say no to someone else in order to say yes to yourself. For many of us, there is always something we feel we could be doing for someone else, and it helps to remember the oxygen metaphor. You can even encourage yourself by saying “I am caring for myself so that I am better able to care for others” or some other mantra that will encourage you. It also helps to remember that self-care doesn’t have to be composed of massively time-consuming acts. In fact, the best prescription for taking care of yourself is probably small, daily rituals; for example, taking one half-hour for yourself at the beginning and end of the day to meditate, journal, or just be. You might also transform the occasional daily shower or bath into a half-hour self-pampering session. Whatever you decide, making some small gesture where you put yourself first every day will pay off in spades for you and the ones you love. The oxygen you need is all around you; sometimes you just need to be reminded to breathe.
