Favourite's Collection #100

An appropriate choice for #100, a pair of Wedge Tailed Eagles. This image was captured at McQuoid Hills in Canberra. The Wedge Tailed Eagle is the only species of Eagle in the world that can be legally shot. Australian farmers complained their livestock was being killed, so a law was passed condemning the Wedge Tailed Eagles to become known as 'The Persecuted King'.

This image is one of the few that is of an acceptable quality; most photo captures were on full zoom lens as I rarely was able to get close to these incredible native birds of prey.
