Ayin is related to the Eyes and the Third Eye as the method of perceiving and influencing this Samekh-model of reality that we see around us. If we want to make someone laugh, for instance, we will somehow draw their attention to us, usually signified by them fixing their eyes on us, or us looking directly at them. Energy is carried by the words along the line of awareness created by looking at one another, and is received by the other person.
Ayin is also said to refer to the Eye of God, which constantly watches his creations below. If for a moment we consider that we are each a god of our own created worlds, and we see how we interact with them through Ayin, we can get an idea of our own relationship to God, as a vessel through which He may influence and perceive the world.
