Discovered biorhythms have the same effect on men and women

Dutch scientists have discovered biorhythms that affect human behavior and can vary from 7 to 52 days. Their study is based on data from more than 400 subjects who used a special app to track their smartphone usage information. The results of the study are published in the journal npj Digital Medicine.

Cycles lasting several days have been found to be very common in all people, including men and women. This remark about women is not accidental, as some employers believe that the menstrual cycle reduces women’s performance at work, which can lead to discrimination.

However, research has shown that men also have a 25 to 30 day cycle that affects their behavior.

Although the mechanisms that underlie these cycles are not yet known, scientists believe that a complex relationship between the environment and human cognitive skills is involved....<<<Read More>>>...

An Insight into Brainwave Entrainment

Welcome to the most powerful brainwave entrainment generator on the web. Don't be fooled by its relatively simple user interface. This software is capable of producing the widest range of brainwave modulations available so far, such as binaural beats, isochronic tones, bilateral entrainment, modulated white noise, and more! If you are eager to start your own brain hacking experiments, the rest of this section covers the basics: the minimum you should know to make sense of the sliders above. If you are interested in further understanding what brainwave entrainment is, more information follows!

Brainwaves are not pseudo-science: they exist. Brainwaves are a by-product of our brain's activity and packs of neurons communicating with each other. These brainwaves fall into different groups, depending on their frequency and their location in the brain. These groups have been linked to various body states, such as being alert, relaxed, or sleepy. Brainwaves are not audible: they are not sound waves, and even if they were, their frequencies would fall way below our audible range.

By using a stimulus at a given frequency, brainwave entrainment aims at synchronizing the brain with that frequency and inducing a given state such as drowsiness or focus. The stimulus could be anything, e.g. visual. This website uses auditory stimuli. Since the brainwave frequencies are not in the audible range, a trick is needed to convert the frequency we want to impose on our brain into something that is audible. The trick consists of selecting a frequency that we hear - we call it a carrier - then modulating this carrier with the brainwave frequency one wants to make audible. This website offers four modulators that can be used separately or combined: amplitude modulation (monaural modulation), binaural beats, stereophonic panning (bilateral modulation) and frequency modulation.

That's it! You can start using our online brainwave tool now....<<<Read More>>>...

A Word On "Biological Rhythm"

Biological rhythm is the periodic biological fluctuation in an organism that corresponds to, and is in response to, periodic environmental change. Examples of such change include cyclical variations in the relative position of Earth to the Sun and to the Moon and in the immediate effects of such variations—e.g., day alternating with night, high tide alternating with low tide.

The internal mechanism by which such a rhythmic phenomenon occurs and is maintained even in the absence of the apparent environmental stimulus is termed a biological clock.

When an animal that functions according to such a clock is rapidly translocated to a geographic point where the environmental cycle is no longer synchronous with the animal’s cycle, the clock continues for a time to function synchronously with the original environmental cycle.

Humans similarly transported over great distances often experience fatigue and lowered efficiency for several days, a phenomenon known as “jet lag,” or jet syndrome...<<<Read More>>>...

Biorhythms - What are they?

Humans have rhythms like the ocean, seasons of our planet. Understanding and knowing your personal Biorhythms can be helpful in planning big or small tasks. i.e., Don't sit down to write your novel during an Intellectual low. This information is based on your birthday, and it is helpful information to have as we navigate the rhythms of the planet, ourselves and others.

A Word on 'Biorhythms'

The concept of biorhythms was developed in the nineteenth century by Wilhem Fliess, a German physician, numerologist and friend of Dr. Sigmund Freud. He believed that everyone is ruled by either a 23-day (male) cycle or a 28-day (female) cycle. Several other individuals expanded on Fliess? theory in subsequent years; however, it gained a rise in popularity during the 1970s after the publication of ?Is This Your Day? How Biorhythm Helps you Determine Your Life Cycles,? by George S. Thommen and ?Biorhythm 1979-81 ? A Personal Science,? by Bernard Gittleson.

Biorhythms are invisible waves of energy within the human body that are constantly in flux. These energy levels are unique to each individual and begin charting at birth. It is believed that people have three main biorhythmic cycles: physical, emotional and intellectual. Other cycles have been added in recent years: intuition, spiritual and aesthetic. Some individuals also believe there are even more cycles that are combinations of the three main cycles: passion (physical and emotional), wisdom (emotional and intellectual) and mastery (intellectual and physical).

Biorhythm charts have been created to graphically track your high and low energy levels during the cycles. They are generated using an individual?s date of birth. Each cycle has a ?clock? and critical points within its timeframe. The clock is the length of time in a given cycle. Critical points occur when a biorhythm is at the zero line on the chart or when an upswing shifts to a downswing and vice-versa. Knowing your biological cycles can help you plan your activities for a specific period of time. For example, knowing your intellectual cycle can help you schedule activities requiring mental prowess for times when you are going to be at a high point in the cycle.

The physical cycle provides insights into your coordination, strength, well-being and energy levels. This cycle has a 23-day clock. High points in your cycle are excellent times to take on physically challenging ventures. Low points in your cycle indicate that you may be physically spent and need to take it easy for a while.

The emotional cycle provides insights into your creativity, sensitivity, mood, perception and awareness. This cycle has a 28-day clock. High points in your cycle indicate you are emotionally strong, your outlook on life tends to be at its best and your interactions with others are most successful. Low points in your cycle indicate times when you may need to take a step back, and you are more likely to be depressed.

The intellectual cycle provides insights into your alertness, analytical functioning, logical analysis, memory and communication. This cycle has a 33-day clock. High points in your cycle indicate that your mental faculties are sharp. This is the time for you to seek solutions that require logic and analysis. Conversely, your intellectual capabilities are not sharp at the low point in your cycle. You might find it prudent to delay work that requires serious thought until you reach a higher point....<<<Read More>>>...

A Word on Biorhythms

Biorhythm measurements are an attempt to predict various aspects of a person's life through simple mathematical cycles. The notion has no more predictive power than chance, and is now considered a classic example of pseudoscience by modern science. According to believers in biorhythms, a person's life is affected by rhythmic biological cycles which affect one's ability in various domains, such as mental, physical, and emotional activity. These cycles begin at birth and oscillate in a steady sine wave fashion throughout life; thus, by modeling them mathematically, a person's level of ability in each of these domains can be predicted from day to day. Most biorhythm models use three cycles: a 23-day "physical" cycle, a 28-day "emotional" cycle, and a 33-day "intellectual" cycle. Although the 28-day cycle is the same length as the average woman's menstrual cycle and was originally described as a "female" cycle, the two are not necessarily in any particular synchronization. Each of these cycles varies between high and low extremes sinusoidally, with days where the cycle crosses the zero line described as "critical days" of greater risk or uncertainty...read more...

Biorhythms

Biorhythms are inherent cycles which regulate memory, ambition, coordination, endurance, temperament, emotions, and much more. We each have three fundamental biorhythm cycles. Each biorhythm cycle has a particular function, and a particular life cycle.

Our physical biorhythm cycle completes one life cycle in 23 days. Our emotional biorhythm cycle lasts 28 days, and our intellectual biorhythm cycle lasts 33 days. At mid point and end point in each cycle, they sharply move back to zero point and change polarity. The day a cycle changes polarity is called a transition day (also called a critical day, or caution day).

Transition days are the days when we may feel a little off, or have a downright bad day. A double transition day is when two of your cycles transition on the same day. This day may be difficult. A triple transition day is when three of your cycles transition on the same day. Triple transition days are rare, occurring once every 7-8 years.

Physical Cycle - 23 days The physical cycle is said to be the dominant cycle in men. It regulates hand-eye coordination, strength, endurance, sex drive, stamina, initiative, metabolic rate, resistance to, and recovery from illness. Surgery should be avoided on physical transition days and during negative physical cycles.

Emotional Cycle - 28 days The emotional cycle is considered the dominant cycle in women. It regulates emotions, feelings, mood, sensitivity, sensation, sexuality, fantasy, temperament, nerves, reactions, affections and creativity.

Intellectual Cycle - 33 days The intellectual cycle regulates intelligence, logic, mental reaction, alertness, sense of direction, decision-making, judgment, power of deduction, memory, and ambition.
