Dioxin contamination isn’t just a food and air issue: you can also absorb dioxins through your SKIN

Following a disastrous incident like the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment, people’s biggest concerns about released toxins center around intake through the mouth (i.e., eating contaminated food and drinking contaminated water) and lungs (i.e., breathing contaminated air), but what about absorption through the skin?

A 1989 “Rachel’s Hazardous Waste News #120” newsletter specifically discusses skin absorption of dioxins, which are receiving a lot of attention in the aftermath of the Norfolk Southern disaster in Ohio because they were released during the “controlled explosion” and burning of vinyl chloride.

Evidence that was new at the time suggested that skin absorption of dioxins is perhaps worse than eating or breathing the toxins. Babies are especially prone to skin uptake because their skin is softer and more porous than that of adults.

Researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences studied skin exposure to dioxins using test mice and rats. They found that some chemicals enter the body via the skin much easier than others. They also discovered that lower doses of dioxin can actually be more harmful, in some cases, than larger doses.

“In the past, the theory has been that the skin (which has a total area of 1.8 square meters in the adult human) has served as a passive barrier to chemicals,” the newsletter explained. “Now it is apparent that the skin is very active in metabolizing (biologically altering) chemicals and that these metabolic processes affect the way the body absorbs (or does not absorb) a particular chemical.”...<<<Read More>>>...

Was the Palestine Ohio derailment a depopulation agenda?

The dishonest media and corrupt politicians are outright lying to U.S. citizens yet again.

It’s been nearly three weeks since the catastrophe, and none of our leaders is asking what the long-term ramifications of this toxic disaster will be.

Vinyl Chloride, the chemical released, combines hydrogen, chlorine, and carbon, but when combined with fire, it becomes incredibly hazardous. Oxygen enters and forms a new type of molecule that can disrupt every facet of the human body. It’s known as a persistent, bio-accumulative toxin, and when it falls into the grass and is consumed by animals, it goes into the dairy, meat, and egg supply. Every surface that the pollutant touched could potentially take decades to break down. Other train cars were also full of wheat and metal, further exasperating the disaster.

Consumption of this dioxin is beyond lethal, but even more alarming is that people with enough exposure without even consuming the food could face infertility, cancer, damage to the immune system, and spontaneous abortions for generations to come. The media has called it a “controlled burn,” but the only thing that sounds controlled here is an act of premeditated ecological terrorism on Ohioans and nearby Pennsylvanians....<<<Read More>>>...

Here’s why dioxins are the most toxic chemical class known to man

In 2020, Restoration & Remediation (R&R) published a fascinating article about dioxins that classifies them as the most hazardous substance in structure fire environments – and for good reason.

Whenever a building or object containing chlorinated chemicals catches fire – this includes the “controlled explosion” of the derailed Norfolk Southern freight train in East Palestine, Ohio – dioxins and other deadly compounds are released. However, typically speaking, very little attention is given to this toxic release.

Concerning structure fires, the federal government is primarily focused on asbestos and lead, all the while ignoring the threat of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), other heavy metals, particulate matter, and dioxin release.

“When newer homes or buildings suffer fire damage, testing for any kind of hazardous substance is typically deemed unnecessary,” explain Briana C. Scott and Sean Scott, writing for R&R.

“Occasionally, testing will be conducted for the presence of soot, char, or ash in structures near wildfire areas. However, it is almost unheard of for this type of testing to be performed to identify the composition of the combustion byproducts to determine whether any hazardous substances are present.”

Dioxins are a combustion byproduct that falls squarely into this overlooked category of post-fire chemical testing. The authorities will test for other things, but will rarely address the biggest elephant in the room: dioxins.

“Post-structure fire and wildfire settings, especially those where plastics, synthetic materials, electronics, or PVC have burned, extremely hazardous and carcinogenic chemicals are created that are typically overlooked altogether,” the Scotts add....<<<Read More>>>>
