Is the Met Office a Serious Scientific Organisation Any Longer?

In their State of the UK Climate Report 2025, recently published, the Met Office made the astonishing suggestion that Storm Eowyn, which hit Britain in January 2025, was worse than the Great Storm of 1987. They even produced this chart to “prove” it:

This is gaslighting of the highest order and an insult to all those who lost their lives in 1987.

Apparently, they say, the severity of the 1987 storm was down to the fact that trees were still in leaf. It was not really as bad as you thought!

So why does their chart imply Eowyn was worse?

Simple. Eowyn’s storm track took it across the mountains and clifftops of Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Naturally, winds will be stronger on high hills and exposed coastal headlands than they are down at ground level.

Wind gusts during Eowyn hit 100 mph on the top of a 900ft hill at Drumalbin, high up in the wild, windswept Lanarkshire Hills. Next highest was 96 mph at Brizlee Wood, an 800ft hill in Northumberland, so high and exposed that it has an RAF golf ball on top....<<<Read More>>>...

Why is the WHO Driving a Hantavirus Panic?

Yesterday, almost 2,000 people, mostly young children, died of malaria because they could not access effective and relatively cheap treatment quickly enough. About 4,000 people died of tuberculosis (TB), including many young adults leaving orphans. This happens every day. Progress in reducing these numbers is stalling, partly due to the continuing economic damage from the COVID-19 response.

In the past two weeks three tourists unfortunately died among about 150 passengers and crew on a cruise ship MV Hondius off the west coast of the African continent where most of those malaria and TB deaths occurred. The Hondius had a hantavirus outbreak, known to have infected fewer than 10 people but including at least two of those that died.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that 10,000 to 100,000 hantavirus cases occur every year, spread across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. The current media coverage and WHO news conferences therefore concern about one thousandth of the cases expected this year. Europe averages about 2,000 to 5,000 – they simply have not been newsworthy.

Hantavirus is transmitted from mice and rats through their faeces, urine, saliva or bite. The Andean variety, which occurred on the cruise ship, can also sometimes transmit from a sick infected person. However, as the low number of cases on the ship demonstrates, the risk of human-to-human transmission is not great. It is, however, a nasty virus, with reported mortality around 15% of cases and sometimes significantly higher.

So, among the 170,000 average deaths in the world each day, and thousands from the WHO’s traditional priority diseases, why the excitement over Hantavirus? Why the pictures of hazmat-suited emergency response crews and desperate contact tracing when we don’t usually notice? Why is the Director-General of the entire WHO spending so much time on this, when diseases of poverty are rising and basics such as nutrition funding are falling? A fascinating question.

Financial Times reports alarm over a sea level study; a faulty study

The lede of a Financial Times article published earlier this month states, “Measurements of actual global levels show big impact of climate change, especially in Asia, study shows.”

The measurements were being compared to “estimates produced by the usual scientific models.”

What the Financial Times didn’t say is that the estimates being used as the benchmark were made using faulty “scientific models” – garbage in, garbage out.

The Financial Times (“FT”) recently posted an article titled ‘Sea levels already ‘much higher’ than many scientists had estimated’, claiming that sea level rise is even more concerning than previously believed because modelled sea level estimates used in many climate change studies are generally lower than actual sea level measurements. The importance of the finding, however, is not what the story reports. The story notes that present sea levels are not catastrophic. Also, the present rate of sea level rise, whether based on satellite calculations or as measured by tide gauges, is very gradual. Seaside communities have the ability to overcome any threat from rising seas through normal civil engineering efforts.

FT reports on a recent study from the Netherlands’ Wageningen University, published in Nature. According to the authors of the study, most coastal planning, including planning for flooding and sea level rise, is based on “Geoid” model estimates of coastal sea-level height and land elevation. Yet, like general circulation models, the outputs of these models are only as good as the data and assumptions built into them. In this case, the authors of the study found that “actual sea levels are on average about 30cm higher globally than estimates produced by the usual scientific models,” with differences emerging particularly in Southeast Asia and Oceania. FT says that in those regions, “the ocean is one to 1.5 meters higher on some coastlines than most impact assessments have assumed.”

This is notable because it means that many climate impact assessments for coastal communities have been designed from the wrong starting point, projecting future sea levels and problems from them, in many instances at levels that already are the case. The problems they anticipate under future climate change-driven sea levels should already be evidenced, but they aren’t. Garbage in, Garbage out.

Because those coastal communities seriously miscalculated the sea level starting point, the study project’s leader, Philip Minderhoud, warned that this could mean that “the impacts from sea-level rise will happen sooner than projected before.” Yet, that seems wrong, since sea levels are already at where the coastal planning estimates they will be decades in the future. If these problems don’t exist now, the planning is wrong from the start about possible impacts. The study does not show that seas are rising faster than they have historically. Thus, planning should begin from where coastlines actually are.

That means, take them in relation to current sea levels, with future estimates based on rates of rise under recent climate change – not, as is done with this study, based on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (“IPCC”) estimates tied to unrealistic emissions scenarios....<<<Read More>>>...

The superflu that never was

 Shortly before Christmas, we published an article about the BBC’s “superflu” propaganda campaign, which had mysteriously gone silent. It included a tweet from British pathologist Dr. Clare Craig, who noted that the “superflu” propaganda had not only been spread in the UK but across Europe and even Israel.

In a tweet posted on Christmas Eve, Dr. Craig said “SuperFlu was all branding and no substance.” In the following article, she explained why.

Once again, as Christmas approaches, we are told the NHS is on the brink. Headlines warn of a “superflu” season threatening to overwhelm hospitals, with language that feels uncomfortably familiar. The sense of déjà vu is striking. In 2020, the public was told that extraordinary interventions were justified because the situation was exceptional. There is nothing exceptional about the current circumstances, yet across Europe, the same crisis framing has returned.

Despite the absence of evidence for anything exceptional, there is a strong sense of Déjà vu. In the UK, schools have begun closing pre-emptively, particularly in Wales – some describing this as a “firebreak” as if transmission can be controlled by wiping surfaces. In Leeds, with Christmas on the horizon, children have been banned from singing in assembly. Vaccination messaging has intensified, too. Super Flu? More Like Super Hype

 The BBC informs us that we have entered a ‘Super-Flu’ crisis, “unlike anything since the pandemic”. Other outlets scream that hospitals are facing a “worst case scenario”. Wes Streeting expands by telling us that a “tidal wave of flu” is tearing through them. Schools have closed pre-emptively, particularly in Wales. Some closures are to provide ‘firebreaks’, not because they have many cases. Leeds schoolchildren have been told not to sing in assembly. Shadowy ‘NHS Leaders’ advise the public to wear masks, with this recommendation shuffling-ly endorsed by the PM. Masking has been mandated at a few hospitals. Vaccination is being pushed, including of toddlers ‘to protect granny’.

It is all horribly reminiscent of 2020-21.

The actual statistics, published yesterday by the UKHSA and covering the period up to December 11th, therefore come as a surprise. They tell that “influenza activity [has] increased and [the virus] is circulating at ‘medium’ levels”, as confirmed by lab testing and GP surveillance.

‘Medium’ doesn’t feature widely in the Super-Flu headlines.

Yet it seems accurate. Figures 1-3, from the UKHSA’s report, illustrate GP consultations for influenza-like illness, then hospitalisations and then ICU/high dependency admissions for laboratory-confirmed influenza. Bird flu: They are re-running the covid script

 The bird flu is a re-run of covid. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is basic pattern recognition. The pandemic planners have a playbook; they used it for covid and now they are using it for bird flu; with one difference. With covid, they targeted us directly. With bird flu, they are targeting us indirectly through our food supply.

It is currently being claimed that bird flu is widespread in wild birds worldwide and is causing outbreaks in poultry, dairy cows and cats, and has resulted in several human cases in the US, including a recent case in Wyoming. By coincidence, yesterday, the US Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) gave conditional approval for an updated bird flu vaccine for poultry.

An outbreak of bird flu at a farm in New Zealand in December resulted in the culling of almost 160,000 hens. But, warned New Zealand’s Biosecurity Minister yesterday, a different strain of the flu was circulating globally and would likely arrive in New Zealand.

At the end of January, GAVI “Vaccines Work” was delighted to announce that restrictions had been put in place in the UK to curb the spread of bird flu. Almost 1.8 million farmed and captive birds have been culled in the past three months due to avian flu outbreaks across the UK.

Reuters reported yesterday that there has been an outbreak of bird flu in Canada.

The former chief scientific adviser to the government Sir Patrick Vallance has said another pandemic is “absolutely inevitable” and urged the incoming British government to focus on preparing for it, warning “we are not ready yet”.

Speaking at a panel event at the Hay festival in Powys, Vallance said it is “great we are having an election” as there are “clearly issues that need to be sorted out”. One of the things the next government must do is implement “better surveillance to be able to pick these things up”, he said.

He also reiterated what he said to G7 leaders in 2021, that “we need to be much faster, much more aligned – and there are ways to do this – at getting rapid diagnostic tests, rapid vaccines, rapid treatments, so that you don’t have to go into the extreme measures that took place” during the Covid-19 pandemic. The measures he recommends are possible to implement, Vallance believes, but “require some coordination”.

He said that by 2023 the G7 had “sort of forgotten” about the points he had made in 2021. “You can’t forget about it,” he urged, recommending that pandemic preparations are treated similarly to the armed forces.

“We know we have to have an army, not because there’s going to be a war this year, but we know it’s an important part of what we need as a nation,” he said. “We need to treat this preparedness in the same way and not to view it as an easy thing to keep cutting back when there’s no sign of a pandemic – because there won’t be a sign of a pandemic.”...<<<Read More>>>....

 On April 11th, Elon Musk was interviewed on the BBC by journalist James Clayton. It stands, in my opinion, as an excellent example of the decline of quality in mainstream media, and the stuck thinking that exists within most of its journalists.

Listening to the full 60-minute interview, it seems clear it was designed to place Musk in a bad light the entire time. While asking tough questions can be the job of a journalist, this interview reeks of attempts to create ‘got ya’ moments that just never arrive.

Like Musk or hate him, (and you don’t have to like everything he does) he is giving oxygen to important conversations, and pushing back on a mainstream culture that has deeply lost its way. Interviews like this expose the agenda of mainstream media, helping those who are on the fence about what to believe continue to think more critically about the narrative control of MSM.

BBC must publicly retract ‘Covid’ fake vaccine ‘safety and efficacy’ claims made based on ONS data (but they won’t because they are Cult-owned psychopaths and morons)

The UK Statistics Regulator has confirmed, in writing, that data published by the Office for National Statistics (“ONS”) cannot be used in support of the “safe and effective” narrative.
