The “Spiritual Sheep” Phenomenon – How Spiritual Trends Are Leading You Astray

The “spiritual sheep” phenomenon is a social and psychological process in which an individual’s spiritual search becomes simplified, ultimately leading to passivity, manipulation, and superficiality.

While the seeker’s original intention is to discover truth and attain deeper self-awareness, various forces distort this pursuit, turning spirituality into a mass-consumption commodity.

This article will examine how this process unfolds, the factors behind it, and how one can avoid falling into this trap....<<<Read More>>>...

American Heart Association was paid off by Proctor & Gamble to say heart disease was caused by saturated fat, not seed oils

We've been told for decades that heart disease is caused by saturated fat found in butter, meat, and eggs, but recent research reveals that the studies promoting these messages were heavily compromised.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists out the official recommendations for eating a healthy diet that will stave off disease and obesity. The information comes from a document called Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020-2025, and it lists out the following for a healthy eating plan:
An emphasis on grains, produce, and fat-free and low-fat milk products, foods that are low in saturated fats, and a variety of protein such as beans, poultry, and lean meat. Saturated fat is discouraged by public health organizations and just about every mainstream expert you'll encounter. But we're quickly learning how useless this information may be.

It's been hammered into us for years that saturated fat is a scary type of food that we should avoid for the most part. Things like butter, eggs, and red meat need to be eaten in moderation — or better yet, not at all — according to public health organizations. But science journalist and author Nina Teicholz is one of many writers and health enthusiasts who is helping to pull back the veil on this belief and make everyday people understand that saturated fat isn't the devil.

"Do saturated fats cause heart disease? The science was always weak," Teicholz tweets. "Fear of these fats was started by American Heart Assoc. in 1961 based on a flawed study."...<<<Read More>>>...

Tryptophan in Interstellar Space: A Clue to Extraterrestrial Life

Having an understanding and acceptance of the flat earth model, and the unlikelihood of space being as they say it is, makes scientific claims like the one in this post difficult to digest.

"Space" is not how they claim it is. We perceive space as an endless ocean of waters above us. What we see as stars above us, is more than likely the effect of different sound frequencies within an endless ocean that surrounds our lands within a sealed firmament.

For space to be the vacuum as they claim it to be, means it has to be a sealed unit with confining boundaries. As a sealed unit, it is therefore impossible to enter into.

 ++++++++++++++

Tryptophan is one of the 20 amino acids that are essential for life on Earth. It is a building block of proteins and a precursor of important molecules such as serotonin and melatonin.

Tryptophan is also rare in the universe, as it is easily destroyed by ultraviolet radiation and cosmic rays. Therefore, finding tryptophan in interstellar space is a remarkable discovery that could have implications for the origin and distribution of life in the galaxy.

A team of researchers led by Susan Iglesias-Groth from the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) in Spain has reported the detection of tryptophan in a molecular cloud complex called Perseus, where stars and planets are formed. The team used data from the Spitzer Space Observatory, a space telescope that operated from 2003 to 2020 and observed the infrared spectrum of the sky.

The researchers focused on a stellar system within Perseus known as IC 348, which is an active star-forming region with hundreds of young stars and protoplanetary disks. They analyzed the infrared spectra of IC 348 and compared them with laboratory measurements of tryptophan....<<<Read More>>>...

The Power of (False) Belief

[Collective Evolution]:

This being human is a guesthouse,
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
—Rumi

When we don’t align with what’s true about ourselves, interpersonally, and in the world, we develop false beliefs. And we like to assert these false beliefs. Using evidence and acknowledging reality can help us let go of our false beliefs. We receive this information subjectively through self-reflection and what others share with us (which we also need to sort through for false projections). We receive true information about objective reality by direct observation and through evidence.

Ascertaining inconvenient truths means we have to let go of our self-administered dopamine addiction (by lying to ourselves and others when wrong) and experience feeling badly temporarily. We have to accept new visitors to the guesthouse of our psyche if we want to be more honest. If we can’t do this, we cut ourselves short of our potential.

We can’t be as loving and kind when we’re deluded about what’s true, subjectively and objectively. If I can’t accept that I am more self-serving than I think I am, I will continue to unconsciously put myself first at the expense of others. If I can’t acknowledge that smoking cigarettes, synthetic chemicals in perfumes, or spraying RoundUp is harmful, I am more likely to condone their use, which causes harm.

To change belief structures includes a collapse of our sense of self, trust, safety, belonging, and our perceived survival. This is also why many cling so dearly to their beliefs; even war can seem like a better option than to adjust ourselves to reality. Reality seems pretty powerful this way! If we adopt reality as our guru, we have a powerful teacher on our side to wake us up. So, a willingness to embody our humanness can be a path to greater compassion and peace. Embodied spirituality means being fully human—accepting and working skillfully with all our thoughts, emotions, physical issues, and relationships...read more>>>...
