Some Inspiration ....

Who is blind?
- He who can see no other world.
Who is dumb?
- He who can say nothing pleasant about his lot.
Who is poor?
- He who is troubled with too many desires.
Who is rich?
- He who is happy with his lot.

'Declared As safe Soon'

Late last night there was a 'visitation' by an unknown presence. The sense of someone being present in the family room which part clairaudiently/part telepathically provided the information that 'Madeleine will be declared as being safe soon' ....

At approximately the same time (give or take ten minutes) Kristine was receiving the imagery of arabic writing and some presence attempting to dictate the information. It related to Madeleine ... we only discovered this duality of messages this morning.

Who will 'declare' Madeleine is safe is unknown ... there was no reference to a locality or to captives. But a sense (by me) that the original '357' messenger had returned to give me this next snippet of news. Time period wise ... it was not possible to glean when 'soon' is ... but it is felt the declaration comes right out of the blue. Breaking news ...

Quote For the Day

Your thoughts guide you to your destiny. If you always think the same you will always get to the same place.
Think in a new way and you will be a new person. Give happiness to all and you will live in peace. Create peace in your mind and you will create a world of peace around you.

The Busy Bee Me

Yes, it's true, not just the males that work hard in these corners of the world.

Been a hectic few months, eldest son over from NZ, now returned, school holidays still, so much to do, so little time.
Matt has been busy working away, so life has been pretty hectic, flights back 'n' forth all week, he is due home in about 1.5 hours, so another dash out to the airport, he's flying into some wonderful Canberra thunderstorms!
I'm told these are rare for Canberra, they only started last year, I'm sure the guy was pulling my leg! Really... I mean, I am known for taking the rain clouds everywhere I go, but this.....??? Not to blame!
It's Australia Day on Monday, so we shall see what is happening in Canberra city, if anything, whatever happens it will be great I'm sure.
Life in Australia......bliss!

Quote For The Day

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because some day in life you will have been all these.

Happy Anniversary

To my other half, Nostradamus.

He likes puzzles, I can't be bothered to work them out! Keeps the brain active and young I suppose.

Maybe I should do more puzzles ....

HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO MY OTHER HALF.

PS You forgot the flowers.

7 Years and Counting

HAPPY 7TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY KRISTINE!!
It's seven years to the day that I said "I do" beneath the Oak Tree on Takapuna Beach in New Zealand. It was a very special day. It truly represented our commitment to each other. I may not have been truly that well at the time. But in the past seven years our marriage has proven to be as hardy and lasting as that old oak tree under which we tied the knot!

Traditionally a 7th Wedding Anniversary is awash with copper gifts. It's gemstone is Lapis Lazuli. Okay. A little puzzle for you Kristine. As you know I am a little 'obsessed' with symbolism .... there is a COPPER kettle and a LAPIS LAZULI elephant here on this post. You will probably suss the meaning of the elephant ... it is a revered animal in India etc. It is symbolic of the strength and the endurance of our commitment to each other. But what then is the meaning of the kettle?

A Special Thank You

To a special lady in UK.

A small present arrived in the post today, wasn't expecting anything, so wondered who it was from. Inside was a Christmas card a small gift, so just wanted to say Thank You to R******* for this card and gift.

Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.

Thank you.

Lost in Canberra

Male. 6ft 1 inch tall, black hair, dark brown eyes, medium build and a charm that could flutter the heart of a 85 year old lady.

Last seen 6pm Sunday with a gang of Aussie girls who came to collect him to show him a good time in Aussie. Nightclubs, parties, the works.

If anyone spots a tall dark and handsome male, with a Kiwi Pom accent, hanging around with a group of gorgeous Aussie girls, please send him home, and Mark, if you are reading this blog, as I know you sometimes do....aaahhhh revenge is sweet, the Man Utd T shirt!

Now will you be back for the 25th?? Or are the girls more appealing than your Xmas pressies?

Interesting post from Wraith

Just like to thank Wraith for her contribution to the blog. I have been really busy with having eldest son here from NZ, showing him around Canberra and of course getting my own back on him too! Aaahhhh sweet revenge.....
More of that later, I haven't finished with him yet.
Spooky has also been extremely busy with his bar, working long hours, so he is having a break from forums/blogs etc but we would like to thank him also for his contributions the last year.
I am sure he will be back once he has sorted things with his business.
Matt posts during the week when he can, and John will also be contributing soon. I haven't met John yet, but Matt says he is a brilliant medium, just hides it well!
Be interesting.
Also hoping Ben will add an article or two about his music/healing talents. We have a CD from him he kindly posted and yes he plays music well! Excellent. Talented man.
Enjoy.

Australia will avoid future recession

Tough times...the OECD has backed the idea of stimulus plans by governments.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is predicting that Australia will be one of only a few countries to avoid a recession in the current global downturn. The Paris-based organisation forecasts that the richest economies in the world will shrink by a collective 0.4 per cent next year.

The half-yearly report predicts that 21 of the 30 member economies of the OECD will go through a protracted recession of a magnitude not seen since the early 1980s. But Australia's economy is likely to avoid the worst of the financial meltdown, with predictions it will grow by a relatively healthy 1.7 per cent.

That is only slightly less than Treasurer Wayne Swan's prediction of 2 per cent growth.
"These forecasts are encouraging, but I think what the OECD has confirmed [is that] we are facing extremely difficult global conditions," Mr Swan said.

Mr Swan says the report highlights the challenges facing the Australian economy. He says the forecasts are encouraging but the report also shows Australia is not immune from the global downturn, with the OECD predicting unemployment will rise to 6 per cent by 2010, and house prices could drop sharply.

"There are underlying strengths in the Australian economy but what this OECD report identifies is the risk to the outlook from global developments and in particular they note the risk posed by a further decline in the terms of trade and a greater weakening of the Chinese economy," he said.
The OECD also predicts that inflation might dip below 3 per cent in two years' time. One of the OECD's chief economists, Klaus Schmidt-Hebbel, says that globally the outlook is bleak.

"We think that there are significant risks of the financial situation and turmoil we are living through now, the crisis may extend beyond the next month," he said.

"There may be more financial institutions which go under, which will require rescue and this implies more stringent credit constraints for households and for people."

E-Mails

Morning ..
Just a quickie from me to thank everyone for their supportive emails ...
As many know we have our eldest here for the summer holidays, but somehow we seem to have lost the summer since his arrival!
Matt is very busy working away on a huge project which tender closes shortly, so has very little time at home as it is, but spends a hour or two when he can on the blog.
Thanks to those who appreciate the long hours in a stressful job that Matt is doing and also we appreciate your patience and support that you all give.
Of course there are some that want and expect more.

Today's the Day........

I get my own back on our No1 son!

He ruined a good Man Utd T shirt by having my age put on the back of it....(for my birthday in October)
Today he arrives from NZ, I have a long drive from Canberra to meet him, Matt is taking the easier option and flying to Sydney after work lucky him!

Staying in Sydney for a long weekend...so be a bit quiet here until next week.

Now I have to plot my revenge....

Thousands Flock to see Nepal's ' Buddha Boy'

Thousands of people flocked to a remote jungle in south-east Nepal to see a boy who reappeared after missing for more than a year and who some believe is a reincarnation of Buddha.
Ram Bahadur Bamjon, 17, spoke to devotees from nearby villages on Monday (local time) in the remote forest in Ratanpuri, 150 kilometres south-east of Kathmandu, police constable Prakash Sen said.

Bamjon made international headlines in 2005 when tens of thousands of people turned up to see him sitting cross-legged under a tree in a dense forest for nearly 10 months, reportedly without food and water.

"He spoke to the devotees standing near a temple in the forest," Mr Sen said after a visit to the site.
"He had shoulder-length hair and had his body wrapped in a white cloth. Since many people are walking to see him, I think he has some of the qualities Lord Buddha had."

Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, was born a prince in Lumbini, a sleepy town in Nepal's rice-growing plains about 350 kilometres south-west of Kathmandu more than 2,600 years ago.
He is believed to have attained enlightenment at Bodh Gaya in the eastern Indian state of Bihar, which borders Nepal.

Relax....????

Says Matt...ha.

Have you forgot No1 son arrives Friday for SEVEN weeks...???

You call that relaxing?

Quote For The Day

Focus more on your desire than on your doubt, and the dream will take care of itself.
You may be surprised at how easily this happens.
Your doubts are not as powerful as your desires, unless you make them so.
