'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Chelsea

Here we a seemingly one sided contest ... one of the richest teams in the English Premier League vs the cheapest! Easy to predict .....? An obvious scoreline .... ask Tottenham Hotspurs or Liverpool how difficult a visit to the home ground of The Seasiders is ... but Chelsea, surely not? The spread does not offer an obvious 'massacre' or an easy result .... the result is represented by the central card ... the obvious 5 of pentacles split 3 - 2 is too obvious ... there is a hint of 2 - 2 elsewhere on the card. But really? The three images on the left represent the home team .... 'being at home' ... 'someone to trust who has been doubted before' ...'a peak experience' ... 'solidifying what has been achieved before'. Encouraging images. The three images on the right represent Chelsea ... 'individuality' ...'personal independence' ... 'suffering, problems, moving backwards' ...'surprises, fights' ... seemingly not good portends for the visiting team.
Wishful thinking hints at a draw .... instinct is wary to getting anything out the game. There are potential scorelines in the images ... 1-2; 3-2; 2-2 ...

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Aston Villa

Somehow The Seasiders HAVE to stop the rot. Despite coming back from 2 v 1 down at Everton to lead 3 v 2 ... they fell apart (Again) in the last fifteen minutes to finally go down 5 v 3. Next stop a home fixture with Aston Villa; who only just defeated The Seasiders 'B' team earlier in the season ... will The Seasiders prevail and get past the 30 point barrier and also avoid dropping into the bottom three for the first time this season?
The portends indicate 'the end of an era' for The Seasiders in this game ... loosely interpreted as meaning the end of their losing streak??? The Sun may well be shining on The Seasiders ... regeneration and gathering of new strength is also heralded here. For Aston Villa there are indications of a lack of decisive & clear actions which could result in not getting a reward for their labours.
A nervous time for the home supporters indeed ... but, the spread suggests another success for The Seasiders ???

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Everton

Well ... the pressure is on for The Seasiders. A dismal performance in their last game failed to stop the rot. Next stop, Goodison Park and Everton. At home Blackpool threw away the lead twice due to complacency and inexperience. How they now must wish those points lost were now in the bag! Anyway ... is this the game to stop the rot, and finally break the 30 point barrier?

Initially, the spread indicates the same missed chances for Everton that Stoke & Sunderland experienced when The Seasiders successfully took all three points away from home. But is it a game of two halves for the home side here? Contrasting performances on both sides of half time? The 2nd card for Everton is the same one that appeared when Fulham visited The Seasiders, took the lead ... and then watched as The Seasiders turned it around to lead 2 v 1 ... only to let Fulham in at the end. Is this the portend here? The final image for Everton calls for discipline and integrity. Why?

The first image for The Seasiders is 'growing hope' ... growing in confidence and being inspired by one of their own. Who plays the blinder in the game then? Charlie Adam? Or one of the new recruits? Clearly someone appears too. It appears also the careful planning begins to pay off ... is it going to be the wheel back on track out of the rut? Experienced hands could pull it The Seasiders way. But they need to concentrate and not let in the late goals or the stupid goals due to lapses in defending prowess.

Likely result, without wishful thinking? Point or points in the bag for The Seasiders after an early disaster? Or a disaster in the first half? If they can keep their wits about them later in the game ... they could possibly do a 'Bolton' without the late killer equaliser or a 'Liverpool at Anfield ' where they somehow held on until the end despite unbelievable pressure.

Comment 6th February 2011 ... there is no indication within the spread of the extraordinary goal feast which occurred. What was right however, Blackpool turned a 2 v 1 into a 3 v 2 lead ... with two goals in two minutes. They did the same against Fulham when they were losing 1 v 0. However, Everton then went on to grab three late goals to win 5 v 3!! Again, the prediction warned 'But they need to concentrate and not let in the late goals or the stupid goals due to lapses in defending prowess.' Sadly it wasn't heeded ...! Note The Star image ... it tells the score!!! EIGHT stars in a 5 v 3 pattern!!!

What's The Score: The Plight Of The Seasiders

After their latest defeat means its 7 defeats in the last eight games... for Seasider fans its worrying times (Me included). Will they survive the drop? The prediction made on Tuesday 27th July 2010 suggests they survive by the skin of their teeth. A close analysis of the imagery reveals that their current bad run is highlighted in this prediction! Using numerology ... where the line of the stave in the 7 of Staves points downward (Their highest position which was 8th) .... they seemingly plummet down to their lowest position in the season of 17th (4th bottom); which can be calculated by 6 staves leading them down from 8th to 13th (Their current position) and then 4th of the 6 coins in the 6 of Coins (Where the end of the stave points to the figure who stands on the 4th coin) .... It is also possible to calculate their potential points tally for the season from the numerology of the cards (Value of queen = 13; value of king = 14) ... which suggest 38 points. This is seemingly one point above safety or saved by a better goal difference? Interestingly when their fall began they were on 25 points ... which can be calculated in the imagery too. Let's now see how accurate this prediction turns out to be!!!

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Man Utd

The Seasiders on a bad run of form with this potentially their third defeat on the trot? Man Utd top of the pile and now unbeaten in 27 games. This rescheduled fixture is a mismatch surely? The Red Devils to come out the game easy winners .......surely? There can be no other outcome so sayeth the logical mind?? But what does this spread say .... The Seasiders appear to make a game of it. If it was any other team, the spread contains several of the images that have appeared in previous victories by The Seasiders. But, this is Man Utd they are up against; and the card at the top right is the ominious sign ... it would suggest three goals to Man Utd. But, the card below it is indicative of some kind of disruptive force affecting the league leaders. Surely not? For The Seasiders it appeared on their side of the spread in their drubbing against Arsenal. So what does this image mean? The bottom image indicates plenty of sweat and toil for the visitors ..?? The images for the home team are much more positive. But that would be impossible surely? I can merely act on what I see ... especially when there is a personal interest in this. I cannot trust any of the indications I am receiving; it might be wishful thinking after all. So I'll edge my bets and say The Seasiders somehow grab a point in this game. And if the fates are listening, don't let this prediction prevent three points going to the Seasiders if that is fate's intention for this game! The energies of these cards indicate nothing is a foregone conclusion with this game. Man Utd have something that may effect their performance in this game? But what?

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Sunderland

The Seasiders will need to show the same solidarity & team work they did against Liverpool recently to succeed here. The spread for Sunderland reveals more spurned chances and much the same type of performance as when The Seasiders succeeded at The Stadium of Light towards the end of last year. The spread indicates a closely contested game with the winner succeeding by a single goal (1 v 0; 2 v 1; 3 v 2 for example) ... a hint there is the possibility of an own goal or a contested goal maybe going in the favour the hosts? A win in this game would push The Seasider's points tally past the 30 point mark ... are they the victors here? Wishful thinking thinks its the case, but only after another nervy ending to the game.

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs WBA

Seasiders beware of the wounded animal ... WBA have suffered five straight defeats and will not be the easy prey that these statistics suggest. Ensure your tactics are correct, keep to the same game plan as your last game ... and you can potentially leave with all three points. It's not guaranteed ... the concern here is the potential for WBA's return to form. The Seasiders proved, for the first time this season, they can come back from behind and win ... this spread suggests a potential for the same in this game. There is a hint of the score line being 1 v 1 at some point in the game. But will it be the final result?

Update 16th January 2011 - The Seasiders did need to be wary of the wounded animal; after taking the lead at 1-0, they were indeed pegged back to 1 -1. They then fell behind at 2 -1 with WBA being in the ascendency. The Seasiders indeed came back from behind to make it 2-2 ... but it wasn't enough with the wounded animal apparently returning back to form, winning 3-2.

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Liverpool

No wishful thinking here ... The Seasiders need to get something out of their resheduled game with Liverpool. Already they have beaten them at Anfield ... and the signs are good for some kind of result if they put in a phenomenal performance. Liverpool's images are not favourable portends. The Seasiders will need to work, work, work and really focus on the task in hand. As far as a result being seen in the image, it is hard to determine ... but clearly this is a hard fought battle. The home side may well have the advantage...Liverpool not to realise the apparent advantage they appear to have.

Update 15th January 2011 - Indeed, The Seasiders did get something out of the game, and the images were not favourable for Liverpool.

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Birmingham

Last time round Blackpool were beaten by Birmingham City on their away game travels. They were outfoxed by clever tactics by the Birmingham City management. However, this spread does not indicate a repeat performance. The spread is an apparent harbinger of teamwork displayed by The Seasiders, generating a storm which it seems Birmingham City will find hard to overcome. The 'missed opportunities' card appear for the visiting team, suggesting that The Seasiders may well be let off the hook a number of times. Wishful thinking would jump to 'goals a plenty' with this spread; however, reality suggests otherwise. But fate appears to point towards a success by the home side.

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Man City

The Seasiders must surely fearlessly go into battle with Man City? In essence, this is yet another game they should surely have no chance to get anything out of. Indeed, the spread suggests that in the early stages of the game, Man City threaten to overrun them. Will their defence stand firm again? Another battering. More quality strikers firing blanks? The spread reveals the same card as the Sunderland, Bolton & Stoke City games ... which suggests this. But rest assured, should The Seasiders go a goal behind ... there will be enough fight and self belief in them to give Man City a real scare. The spread IS favourable for The Seasiders. But surely Man City will end up doing the double over the brave tangerines? Wishful thinking offers a draw as the likely result ... as The Seasiders some how level late on in the game???

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Sunderland

A visit to the 'Stadium Of Light' for The Seasiders after a period of inactivity due to the wintry weather conditions postponing their last two home games. Sunderland return home after an away defeat at Old Trafford on Boxing Day. They are unbeaten at home. A fact that The Seasiders will brush aside. The spread suggests a classic encounter. Sunderland seemingly like Stoke & Bolton before them ... missing clear chance. The Seasiders appear to have the gods on their side in this game. But ... miss chances may well contribute to a probable draw in this game? It's not a clear cut advantage to either side according to this spread ... wishful thinking suggests at least a point for The Seasiders; as their lack of match play over Boxing Day may prove to be an advantage?

UPDATE 30th December 2010 ... The Seasiders certainly did brush aside Sunderland's unbeaten home record. They certainly did have the gods on their side with Sunderland missing around 30 clear cut chances .... !!!

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Spurs

Two in form teams who play attacking football ... The Seasiders Vs Tottenham Hotspurs. The result is a foregone conclusion surely? Spurs are the established side and Blackpool the new boys with the leaky defence? It must be Spurs who win surely? The spread to the left calls a halt to that assumption. The message is strong ... Spurs may have numerous chances (Like Stoke in the last game) but it seems that The Seasiders do not suffer a hatful of goals against them. In fact ... the spread suggests some type of result for The Seasiders. A hard fought game ... requiring concentration and a great deal of luck. No obvious result in the spread ... but a sense that at least a draw will be well deserved by The Seasiders. A hard earned win ... that would be wishful thinking surely?

'What's The Score'? - Seasiders Vs Stoke City

The Seasiders will be seeking their 4th win away from home this weekend. The signs appear good for them with this spread. They will not be 'in awe' of their opposition, nor will they be outplayed. Good fortune appears to be in the grasp of the home team, but seemingly it will not be taken. The spread indicates the type of teamwork spirit seen in recent weeks displayed again by The Seasiders.... if they can continue to improve with their ball possession then it seems they will prevail in this game. Wishful thinking is wary of predicting a score; however it would seem there is one goal in it; the sense though The Seasiders once more need goals to win.

Update 14th December 2010
The Seasiders won 1 v 0 ... so there was only one goal in it and the Seasiders did prevail. Good fortune was in the grasp of the home team but they failed to take any of the chances they had in the game.

"What's The Score?" -- Seasiders Vs The Red Devils

The BIG test for The Seasiders with the visit of the Red Devils (Man Utd) to Bloomfield Rd. Surely after Man Utd's recent 7 goal demolition of Blackburn, the result of this game is a foregone conclusion? The spread suggests otherwise with no obvious score in the spread. There is a humorous reference to the two managers at the top ... 'The Fool' representing Ian Holloway in the left corner (Blackpool) against 'The Emperor' in the right corner which represents Alex Ferguson. Surely the superiority of Man Utd is on these cards somewhere? The World card is on Blackpool's side providing some kind of protective veil ... with the Death card appearing on the Man Utd side which is a portend that last appeared in a home game when WBA had two sendings off! The game is hinted at being fairly balanced with Temperance at the bottom. The spread suggests there will only be 'the Ace Of Wands' between the two managers. Wishful thinking reads this as a portend of the first 'one' appearing in Man Utd's stats this season ... there first defeat. Surely not? Instinct errs on caution to predict a Blackpool win. However... the spread seems to point in the direction of a shock result. Not another 7 v 1 or a 6 v 0 ... but a surprise result.

"What's The Score?" -- Seasiders Vs Bolton

Not the best portends for The Seasiders indicated here. Bolton Wanderers, fifth in the league and at home ... it seems ominous for Blackpool. This spread seems to show Bolton with several goals scored by different characters ... plenty of attack from Blackpool but are any of the chances taken. Wishful thinking would hope for a draw at full time ... which seems the best they could hope for with the all attack by Bolton shown in this spread. A goal keeper error ... fatal or a close call. Blackpool the underdogs but fearless ... but is it enough?

Update 29th November 2010
Indeed ... it ended up a 2 v 2 draw at full time. Bolton scored 'several goals' (Several implies more than one) ... two different goal scorers.

"What's The Score?" -- The Seasiders Vs Wolves

A game which neither side can really afford to draw. The spread indicates the likelihood of a physical game. A game perhaps dictated by the midfield. Plenty of possession for The Seasiders it appears, with Wolves prepared to let them? The spread indicates The Seasiders possibly falling behind at some time in the game; but ... a card which last appeared for the Fulham game prediction ... suggests that a draw might well be the most likely outcome. The spread indicates a game of tactics between the two managers. Last time there was this game of wills it was the Birmingham game and The Seasiders were on the wrong side of a diamond formation which was their undoing. Wolves appear to indeed be in the ascendency at one point in the game, where they seem to have to drive home their advanatage. However, the spread indicates a rampant Blackpool attack somewhere in the game. Let's hope this time around that the same number of chances, created in the last game against West Ham, are created ... but this time put away. There is a need for 'goals' by The Seasiders to overcome a hardy Wolves team. Don't rule out bad refereeing decisions in this game and also an element of controversy which might bring Wolves down from their ascendant advantage some time in the game .... a draw would be a fair result here. However, the need for a win by both teams might be the telling issue in this game. Wishful thinking would love to issue three points outcome to The Seasiders here. But the spread does suggest other wise. The spread suggests 2 v 2 ... but wishful thinking says 3 v 2 to The Seasiders.

Update 27th November 2010
'Goals' were indeed needed to win this tie .... Wolves in the ascendancy for most of the game. Indeed a 'bad' referee decision did come into the game ... Ian Evatt taken off the pitch for treatment following an injury not permitted to back on the field in time to prevent Doyle heading Wolves goal from a position Evatt would have defended. Controversy too ... as Wolves disputed Blackpool's 2nd goal. Plenty of opportunity for Wolves, but poor finishing .... it could have been 2 v 2.

Just For Fun: The Seasiders Vs West Ham Utd

London hasn't been a happy hunting ground for The Seasiders so far in the Premier League. They have conceded 1o goals without reply in just two games (Arsenal & Chelsea) ... so will a trip to lowly West Ham Utd be anything different. Aston Villa was a close call. Even steven as predicted until that disastrous last minute of the game ... this spread indicates lack of concentration again being a feature of this game. But it features on the home sides area of the spread. Now, there are also similar images to those featured in the WBA game where two players were sent off. These spreads are very much a learning curve ... so, here goes ... the image is reversed which could indicate a controversial & game changing moment in the game? A foul that warranted a red card? It seems to be there in the spread. So does a suggested result of 2 v 2? At some stage of the game ... ? But is it the end result? An image which had appeared in previous wins by The Seasiders appears once more on their area of the spread ... or is this wishful thinking/coincidence? Two nervy teams giving way to end to end attacking football...? To make a prediction on a likely result ... a draw?

Update 15th November 2010
The game as indeed a draw; however it was 0 v 0. But with the number of clear chances that SHOULD have been taken the result could easily have been 2 v 2. There was a game changing incident that could have heralded a red card ... West Ham by rights should have had a penalty when Cathcart handled the ball in the box.

Just For Fun: The Seasiders Vs Aston Villa

Fortunes favour the brave in this game. The Seasiders will seemingly hold their own in this game, but is to be enough for them to grab some more points away from home. Swords and wands feature heavily in this spread ... swords of conflict and 'established might' against the seemingly vulnerable wooden staffs of The Seasiders. It appears to be even steven ... but, the advantage appears to be with The Seasiders (But is it wishful thinking?) ...

UPDATE 12th November 2010
Several features of the game appear in this spread. The 3 v 2 result for one ... plus the wholesale changes made of the Blackpool team.

Friday, 5 November 2010

Just For Fun: The Seasiders Vs Everton

Can The Seasiders follow up their first home win of the season with their first back to back win of their first season in the Premier League? Another home game, another visiting established team ... one or two hints here of lapses of concentration that resulted in goals conceded for The Seasiders in previous games here. Set pieces the real concern outlined in this spread. There are also tactics played here which may well catch out The Seasiders ... much like the Birmingham game. However, the raised Ace of Wands is on the side of The Seasiders ... an implement of the magician. They musn't be ruled out in this game. Everton will not find it an easy game ... their brute force and determination balanced by The Seasider's own brand of magic? Wishful thinking or does it appear that The Seasider's don't lose this game?

UPDATE 12th November 2010
Well ... Blackpool didn't lose the game! Plus there were one or TWO lapses of concentration too!
