A Word on "Instrumental Transcommunication"

Instrumental Transcommunication or ITC is a technique that involve the use of electronic means to contact spirits, the term was coined by Professeur Ernst Senkowski. The machines used are typically televisions, fax machines, tape recorder, video and digital cameras. One of the pioneer of this kind of mediumship was William O'Neil, he was able see and communicate with two scientists working from the 'dead zone'. Using a modified side-band radio the voices of 'dead' scientists were captured on tape in intelligent and responsive conversations. Skeptics think that ITC recording are hoaxes. Skeptics believe that ITC is simply the free interpretation of natural phenomena.

A Word on 'Electronic Voice Phenomenon'

Electronic voice phenomena are electronically captured sounds that resemble speech, but are not the result of intentional voice recordings. Common sources include static, stray radio transmissions and background noise. Some people claim these sounds are of paranormal origin. Others claim there are natural explanations such as apophenia (finding significance in insignificant phenomena), auditory pareidolia (interpreting random sounds as voices in their own language), equipment artefacts, and simple hoaxes. Recordings of electronic voice phenomena are often created from background sound by increasing the gain (i.e. sensitivity) of the recording equipment.

The term electronic voice phenomena (or phenomenon in the singular) is commonly abbreviated as EVP. (Wikipedia)

Defining 'Instrumental TransCommunication'

Instrumental TransCommunication is the name that has been given by Professor Ernst Senkowski, a German physicist, for the technique of contacting spirits, using any electronic means to capture the images of spirits (ITC), and to record their voices (EVP : Electronic Voice Phenomenon). The equivalent of ITC abreviation, in french, is TCI (TransCommunication Instrumentale), and in German : ITK (Instrumentelle Transkommunikation). Some researchers are using also old valves radios of the 50's (DRV : Direct Radio Voices which abbreviates in french to VDR) and are very successful. After years of activities in the domain of Transcommunication research, and in all the different types of mediumship development, our relationship has strengthened with our spirit partners, we have learned how to connect with them, and how to communicate with them....read more>>>...

Iovilus

The iOvilus is based on the same method of ITC communications as the highly controversial Ovilus. The iOvilus produces speech based on changes to sensors in the iPhone or iPod Touch. Simply, the idea is that an outside force can affect a change that registers a response. Instrumental Trans Communications "ITC" is not new, however, the methods used to try and achieve it are changing greatly. The iOvilus is simple to use; start the app and listen to what is said. Remember, the environment drives the output of iOvilus using a 1000 word dictionary to achieve ITC Communications....read more...>>>>

Did Milner daughter speak out from the 'other side'?

The Canadian and Haunting Paranormal Society (CHPS) investigated the historic Milner House in Ontario, Canada, earlier this month which includes a parting EVP that may have come from the young girl who died in the home. Now the Chatham-Kent Museum & Milner House, the original home's owner had a 14-year-old daughter who fell down a back staircase and eventually died there as a result of the injuries. The Queen Anne style home was built by Robert and Emma Milner in 1894, but was converted to a museum in 1943. The structure also houses an art collection produced by Emma Milner who was a recognized artist in her day. Robert Milner owned a carriage works business and later a furniture store.......read more>>>...

Haunted Canberra - The Graveyard Shift IV

Audio material obtained during the recent Haunted Canberra - Graveyard Shift investigation has been analysed and several clear Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) recordings have been isolated ... providing some interesting results for this fruitful night of paranormal investigation. Numerous orb photographs (One example can be seen right); cold spots; strange cloud photographs and now EVP evidence ... the EVP examples are currently in .wav format which cannot be uploaded here. So over the next few weeks the EVP's will be converted into a suitable video format (With a slideshow of the phenomenon photos) and then uploaded here in the near future.

Haunted Canberra - The Graveyard Shift II

Here are two photographs that captured a strange 'mist' phenomenon which was experienced during our paranormal investigation of a Canberra graveyard.
The image right was taken immediately after I became aware of a strong presence behind me. The resultant photograph depicts the strange mist which was not evident prior to the photograph. The second photograph was taken approximately five minutes after the first ... again I became aware of a strong presence behind me.
During this part of our investigation, all four members of our investigation team were aware of a very cold spot around a point we were taking photographs of the cemetery.
We were also able to capture 'interesting' EVP recordings in the same spot as the cold spot. There appears to be an attempt to communicate with us when invitations were made to the detected presence.
There are also strange rustling noises and a loud cracking noise ... neither of which were audible during the EVP recording.
We also undertook another visit to Blundell Cottage ... but were unable to obtain anyclear evidence on this visit.

Haunted Canberra: A Return to Blundell Cottage

The intrepid & fearless team here at A Light In The Darkness returned to Blundell Cottage, on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, tonight. Armed with digital voice recorder & camera, we undertook a 2nd investigation at this famous Canberra landmark. We are currently sifting through the 'collected data' for any evidence of paranormal activity. So watch this space ...

Haunted Canberra: Blundell Cottage

The second part of our paranormal investigation around Canberra last night (Monday 25th Janaury 2010) comprised a midnight visit to Blundell Cottage on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Another reputed haunted site in and around Canberra. We'd visited the cottage by day several weeks earlier and recorded some unusual light phenomenon, so we were eager to see what could be uncovered on the outside of the property. Sadly, no high EMF readings were recorded and nothing unusual was unearthed with the cameras. But the visit wasn't a total disappointment. A number of interesting anomalies were recorded during EVP sessions around the property. From clear murmurs, sighs and hums in response to questions to the audible 'cracking' of small branches on two occasions at the same point. This session was interesting as the first 'crack' occurred immediately after the session recording began and in direct response to asking of anything or anyone was present at that time. The locality was revisited about ten minutes later, and at the same 'cue' an even louder, clear 'cracking' noise was heard in response to the question. Our conclusion: on the evidence of the EVP sessions there may be something paranormal present at Blundell Cottage.
