Mediation - A Definition Of True Contact

In orthodox 'religion' Mediation is seen as a function of a priest or priestess, where a mediator is one who acts as an interface between divinity and humanity.

In magic, however, mediation has a far more precise meaning, based on the essential truth that all contain divinity or 'the original being' within us. All are also contained within the Being of the universe. In true mediation, any individual can reach deeply into the states of consciousness where transcendent entities can be met. Such entities can be aspects of divinity; god-forms or beings which have transcended human expression and no longer incarnate on this plane.

In mediation, a human acts as a 'focus' or 'gateway' for the consciousness of such transcendent entities. But know this is not the sole purpose or type of mediation found in the magical arts. Mediation is not a matter of passive reception, such as the cliched and superficial process of 20th century 'mediumship', but of clarifying and refining personal modes of awareness. When these higher modes are attuned to inner worlds or beings which are vital to magic, mediation may arise.

Mediation is not a matter of 'receiving messages'. If this was the case then it would be virtually valueless as higher modes of awareness and higher spiritual energies actually transcend verbal communication. A true mediator may be able to translate certain key images of the spiritual realms into words, but the mediator is more likely to act as a channel for a specific energy or power to flow out into the magical circle and more ultimately into the world. Therefore, an initiate working magic, such as rituals or visualisations, may become a mediator through the simple act of ritual pattern making and the controlled use of the imagination. In the magical arts, anyone making a sign, or chanting a mantra, or visualising a symbol, is mediating the power of being through specific and dynamic magical archetypal channels. The more powerful effects of mediation, however, are not usually developed without years of effort and deliberate control.

The Most Important Thing in Your Life

The Atlantean Conspiracy: What is the #1 most important key factor to achieving and maintaining optimum health, energy, longevity, vitality, and wellness? Is it genetics, diet, exercise, hydration, sleep, mindset, environment? Certainly all of these factors are very important, but in fact they are all secondary to something most doctors and lay-people alike completely overlook.

Think about this: what is the most important thing in your life? It’s so important that you do it all day every day and all night every night. You are even doing it unconsciously right now while reading this. It’s something so crucial to your health, longevity and wellness that ceasing for even a few minutes results in certain death!

The one and only undeniable answer is Breathing. To breathe is to live and without breath there can be no life. All life, plant and animal, from birth to death, completely depends upon the air for health, well-being and continued existence. From microscopic mitochondria to macroscopic lungs, every living cell breathes and depends on the air’s life-giving properties for sustenance...read more>>>..

Soundscape: The importance of sound and silence

S.O.T.T: Sound and silence have a direct, powerful influence on emotions. We seldom acknowledge this fact, yet it is self-evident - we become anxious when we hear sirens or people arguing, sleepy when we hear a lullaby, focused by the hypnotic repetition of chanting.
Most people are unaware of the effects of sound and silence on the body and mind, even in the midst of the noise pollution so characteristic of cities. It is vital for your emotional health to take control of the soundscape that surrounds you. If you cannot escape disturbing sounds, the new technology of noise cancellation gives you a way to protect yourself from them. Noise-canceling headphones detect environmental noise with built-in microphones and generate signals that neutralize it; they are readily available and affordable.

Another possibility, especially useful in the bedroom, is to mask annoying sounds with white noise, which sounds like hissing air or rushing water. Portable white noise generators are also readily available and affordable, and there are larger systems that can cover offices and whole houses. Some allow you to select from a range of sounds, from ocean waves to rain.
Apart from neutralizing or masking unwanted sounds, you can, of course, choose to listen to those that have positive effects on your moods. Unlike most electronic sounds, sounds of nature, such as wind blowing through trees and water running over rocks, are complex and may "nourish" the brain in some way. We evolved with the sounds of nature, and the relative lack of them in our artificial environments of today may be yet another cause of emotional malaise...read more>>>...

A Word On 'SAMADHI'

A yogi achieves a meditative state by concentrating on both their physical being and their rhythm of breath. In this case, the meditative state is not a thinking or evaluating state; instead, it is a state where singleness of thought is the ultimate goal.

It is only through this singleness of thought that one can achieve enlightenment, which is samadhi, or the state at which one becomes purely aware of the sanctity of one's self and the world surrounding....read more>>>...

A Word On 'Druidic Mediation'

In the days prior to the 'experiment' known as "Mediumship", before the need to identify and validate the ancestral spirit who was communicating with the human channel, there was a system of MEDIATION.

The function of Mediation being undertaken by a priest or priestess, and their role was to act as an interface between divinity and humanity. In true mediation, the priest or priestess may reach deeply into the states of consciousness where transhuman entities exist. Such entities can be god forms or beings which have transcended the human realms.

In meditation, the human mediator acts as a focus or doorway for the consciousness of these transhuman entities. Mediation is thus not an act of passive reception as in the modern day mediumship communications. Mediation is not about 'messages' as the higher modes of consciousness transcend the human condition and mortal means of communications.

A true mediator may be able to translate a few key image or intuitions of the spirit realm into mortal words but he or she is more likely to be a channel for a specific power or vibration to flow out into the magical circle and ultimately into the world. It is the role of the priest or priestess to mediate the powers of divinity ...

Watch out for Practical Druidic & Spiritual Mediation Workshops to be facilitated by Matthew James in 2015, possibly within The Henge stone circle in NSW!
