Warning readers to “hold onto their hats”, the New Zealand Herald writer claims that a number of fans who were invited backstage to meet Adele witnessed the British singer “shapeshift into a giant lizard” and then apologize for scaring them, explaining that she meant no harm and is a “good reptilian.”

Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt - the rock legend who opened Live Aid - dies in hospital in Spain, aged 68 after an infection following years of ill-health

Daily Mail: Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt today died in a Spanish hospital at the age of 68 as Queen legend Brian May led the tributes - saying that he 'rocked our world'.

Parfitt had been recuperating since June when he suffered a heart attack but died after suffering from a severe infection.

His son, Rick Jr, paid his own emotional tribute online, writing that, although he was a rock star to many, to him 'he was simply 'Dad', and I loved him hugely'.

It comes after the veteran musician was taken into hospital in Marbella on Thursday evening due to complications with a pre-existing shoulder injury.

He died there at lunchtime on Saturday, his manager and family said in a statement.

Similar outpourings of sadness came from across the musical community, where he was praised as 'a lovely man' and 'one of the nicest guys in rock 'n' roll'.

Daily Mail: Perhaps the saddest thing about the whole sorry affair is that people were quick to suggest the whole thing may have been a PR stunt, with many pointing out that this brutal robbery could not have come at a more opportune moment.

It raises Kim’s profile just as the next series of her reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, prepares to air. Ratings have been falling lately, reaching an all-time low in June for an episode in which her brother Rob announced his engagement to model Blac Chyna.

Some are asking if this is Kim’s most audacious publicity stunt yet — a cruel suggestion, given that she was tied up at gunpoint in what must have been an incredibly distressing attack.

Yet as the catwalk shows that Kim was attending in Paris continued yesterday (indeed, it was at these very shows that Kim had intended to wear her favourite jewels), many fashion insiders have been discussing this.

The story was picked over, with some asserting that bathrooms cannot generally be locked from the outside, so how did this happen? And many found it hard to believe that her security team was absent or overpowered.

Daily Mail: Police have launched a probe after a paranormal investigator who tried to communicate with ghosts in more than 6,000 haunted locations died in mysterious circumstances.

Grimsby Telegraph: Colin Fry, Britain's top spiritualist medium, has sadly died aged 53. He lost a battle with cancer and died peacefully in hospital shortly before 3am today, a spokesman said.

Michael Jackson's death 'was a homicide, rules LA coroner' after finding lethal levels of drugs in singer's body

Michael Jackson was killed after being given a deadly cocktail of drugs to help him sleep, court papers revealed last night.

Among the powerful sedatives found in the singer's body during a post-mortem examination was a lethal dose of the hospital anaesthetic, propofol. The Los Angeles coroner has now ruled the 50-year-old star's shock death on June 25 was homicide.

A law enforcement official, who wished to remain anonymous, said the coroner determined a fatal combination of drugs was given to Jackson hours before he died in his rented Los Angeles mansion. Forensic tests found the powerful anesthetic propofol in Jackson's system along with two sedatives, the official said. 'The Los Angeles Chief Medical Examiner-Coroner, Dr Sathyavagiswaran, indicated that he had reviewed the preliminary toxicology results and his preliminary assessment of

Jackson's cause of death was due to lethal levels of propofol (diprivan),' according to a search warrant affidavit for Murray issued by California. The document was released by the Harris County District Clerk in Houston, where Dr Murray has offices, which U.S. Agents raided on July 22, looking for evidence of manslaughter. Under California law, homicide is not necessarily equivalent to murder and can include manslaughter charges.

The police investigation is reportedly focused on whether Dr Conrad Murray was sufficiently negligent in administering propofol to Jackson to face an involuntary manslaughter count.

Ronaldo Completes 6-Year Deal With Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo will complete his world record £80m move from Manchester United to Real Madrid on 1 July after agreeing a six-year deal.

United, who accepted Real's offer for the 24-year-old winger on 11 June, confirmed on their website that the transfer had been finalised. A statement on Real's website read: "The player will be tied to Real Madrid for the next six seasons. He will be presented on 6 July at the Santiago Bernabeu."
