The Shamanic Science of the Soul

(The Shift Network) The truth is that all this and more is available to you as you learn to walk the shamanic path, the oldest and most widely practiced healing art on the planet. Modern medicine, as amazing as it can be, is a late arrival on the scene. Shamans had to develop ways of working with disease, disturbance and disharmony long before we had the scientific methods.

Indeed, what they cultivated through experimentation (and a lot of help from spirit allies), is a kind of complementary science of the soul that includes powerful understandings of how we get blocked and out of balance in our energy, power, hearts and souls.

Shamans evolved an understanding of energy, trauma, and disease that has been proven effective in treating major traumas, PTSD, addiction, depression, emotional disturbance and more.

And what’s truly remarkable is that indigenous shamans who were disconnected in space and time developed similar practices for gaining this information – which validates that the practices themselves are grounded in real insight into human consciousness and evolution.

This remarkable path to transformation has, in recent decades, become more available to sincere seekers, healers and explorers the world over. A combination of shamanic practitioners and social scientists have assembled an understanding of “core shamanism” that takes the essence of shamanic practices from across the globe and translates them into our modern lives.

These core skills are highly effective for creating deep healing, evolution and growth because they work at the root levels of your consciousness...read more>>>...

One Who Sees In The Dark

A Light In The Darkness by Matthew James
(White Lotus Holistics) The English word shaman comes from the name given to traditional tribal healers of the Tungus people of Siberia, and it roughly translates as "one who sees in the dark" (the hidden realities).

This description is partly due to the fact that many shamanic practices involve meditation, often with eyes closed, sometimes in a deep trance state, to help discover the nature of a problem and determine potential solutions. The shaman "looks" into the shadows or dark places in a person, the community and the planet, and finds how to bring them light, hope and healing

In many cultures, a shaman is a healer, counsellor and spiritual director all in one....read more>>>...

Talking Sticks

Talking Sticks has been used for centuries by many Native American tribes as a means of an orderly, just and impartial hearing. Talking Sticks were most commonly used at major events such as tribal council meetings and Pow-Wow gatherings and important ceremonies but their use was also extended to storytelling circles and teaching children. Talking Sticks allow people to present and express their Sacred Point of View.

The people responsible for holding any type council meetings were required to make a Talking Stick specifically for the event. Talking sticks were therefore made from carefully selected materials that had a special meaning and significance to the maker. The size of Talking sticks was usually taken from the measurement between the elbow to the tips of the fingers. Talking Sticks were usually long, narrow, brightly colored and adorned with furs and or feathers...read more>>>..
