Global Warming Exaggerated, Say Soaring Number of Britons

 The number of Brits who think the dangers of global warming have been exaggerated has jumped by more than 50% in the past four years, while nearly 90% say they do not support energy bills rising to pay for Net Zero. The revelations come in new polling for the Times, which has the story.

One in four voters now believe that concerns over climate change are not as real as scientists have said, amid growing public concern at the cost of the Government’s Net Zero policies.

Less than a third of the public (30%) are in favour of banning new petrol and diesel cars — down from 51% in 2021.

Only 16% of voters said they would be prepared to pay higher gas bills to encourage the switch to electricity.

Experts said the findings showed that growing climate scepticism within mainstream politics in both Britain and the US was cutting through with voters, as the broad consensus on climate action breaks down. …

Four years ago climate change was identified as the fourth most important issue facing the country ahead of immigration and asylum, education and crime.

At the time only 11 per cent of the 1,600-plus people questioned said that global warming was not the result of human activity while only 16% believed that the warnings from scientists about its implications were exaggerated.

Now climate change has fallen right down the list of the public concerns while there has been a marked increase in climate scepticism. The environment has fallen behind issues such as the economy and immigration, but is still above education, transport and Brexit.

Possibly one of the dumbest and most scientifically illiterate climate scare stories ever written has been published by the fast-fading UK Sky News. Climate reporter Victoria Seabrook notes that the sea ice on the Arctic “continent” is melting at 12% every decade but she backs it up by publishing a graph clearly showing it has been stable since 2007. She goes on to claim that the Arctic melt will push up sea levels around Britain and fuel worse coastal flooding, seemingly unaware that melting ice in liquid does not raise its level (suggested educational tip, check out ice in a gin and tonic glass). Just for good measure, her silly story throws in the wobbling jet stream and a “shocking” prediction that global temperature could rise by nearly 1°C in just five years.

This story is a classic of its kind – late climate psychosis folderol to back up the collapsing Net Zero fantasy. After decades of relentless mainstream gaslighting, mass audiences are still vaguely concerned that the climate is in some kind of ‘emergency’. Net Zero is retreating around the world, partly because it is increasingly understood that human civilisation cannot abolish the use of hydrocarbons without returning to the dark ages, and partly because nobody is prepared to pay for it when given a choice. Prominent climate scientists challenge catastrophic warming claims, argue net zero policies are unjustified

 On April 28, atmospheric physicist Dr. Richard Lindzen (MIT) and physicist Dr. William Happer (Princeton) released a groundbreaking paper dismantling the foundational premise of global climate policy: that carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary driver of catastrophic warming. Their findings, supported by decades of radiation physics research, conclude that current CO2 levels have minimal remaining capacity to trap heat and that efforts to eliminate fossil fuels – central to the Net Zero agenda – are scientifically unfounded and economically perilous. The research arrives amid growing scrutiny of climate policies, as U.S. President Donald Trump's administration moves to repeal regulations based on flawed models. 

Lindzen and Happer's analysis hinges on a fundamental physical principle: CO2's heat-trapping capacity diminishes as its atmospheric concentration rises – a concept known as saturation. Sahara Desert shows abrupt extreme climate change is natural, nothing human about it

The claim that human emissions are causing the climate to change dramatically and abruptly is used to instill fear among the population. Without human emissions, the climate would still change, but much more calmly and gradually, so they like to have us believe.

But anyone who has studied climate history knows that climate change tends happen abruptly, often over the course of just a few decades.

One example is the Sahara, which wasn't always a desert. Trees and grasslands dominated the landscape from roughly 10,000 years ago to 5,000 years ago, scientists reported in a paper published in 2013. "Then, abruptly, the climate changed, and north Africa began to dry out."

The study published in Science says it all took just a few hundred years.

According to the authors: "Our analysis suggests that the termination of the African Humid Period in the Horn of Africa occurred within centuries, underscoring the non-linearity of the region's hydroclimate."

The Saharan shift is thought to have been initially triggered by more sunlight falling on Earth's northern hemisphere, as Earth's cyclic orientation toward the sun changed. It had nothing to do with CO2 emissions and human activities. It was all natural.

New AI-led study upends the UN’s climate change narrative

 Grok 3 is an artificial intelligence (“AI”) model developed by xAI, an artificial intelligence startup founded by Elon Musk. Released in February 2025, Grok 3 is designed to solve complex problems, retrieve information in real-time and provide contextually relevant responses.

Researchers used Grok 3 to scrutinise climate-related datasets and climate change models to establish whether the anthropogenic global warming narrative is supported by evidence.

“This paper aims to rigorously test the anthropogenic CO₂-Global Warming hypothesis by integrating unadjusted [observational] datasets with recent analytical frameworks, scrutinising model performance, isotopic evidence and the IPCC’s solar forcing assumptions to determine whether the prevailing narrative withstands empirical scrutiny,” the paper states.

The observational datasets used in the review include temperature data, sea ice data, and atmospheric CO₂ and isotopic data, using model outputs from the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change‘s (“IPCC’s”) Sixth Assessment Report (“AR6”). Analytical frameworks included Koutsoyiannis et al. (2023), Soon et al. (2023, 2024), Harde (2017, 2022) and Connolly et al. (2023).

Announcing the paper had been published, Jonathan Cohler tweeted on Friday that the AI-led and human-checked review found: Human CO₂ (just 4% of the carbon cycle) sinks into oceans and forests in 3-4 years, not centuries like the IPCC claims. Your mostly selfish ‘consumer convenience’ habits have changed the entire topography of your country; it’s once natural environment, it’s living biodiversity, its beauty, fragrant scents and natural productivity.

'Global' Warming? Little Ice Age cooling and sea ice expansion is still ongoing across Antarctica today

New research indicates there has been no reduction in sea ice in Antarctica's Robertson Bay (Ross Sea) during the last century. Instead, the frigid Little Ice Age and its expanded sea ice conditions continue unabated through the 20th and 21st centuries.

Between ~8000 and 3500 years before present the Antarctic ice sheet experienced several millennia of retreat and the sea ice extent surrounding the continent decreased throughout the Middle Holocene. For the next few millennia after that, or from about 3500 to 1500 years ago, the ice sheet and sea ice extent advanced to near modern levels.

"The East and West Antarctic ice sheets underwent rapid periods of retreat in the Ross Embayment, the continent's largest ice drainage basin, between 8 and 3.5 calkyr BP. Recent work shows that retreat was followed by a period of readvance and the ice sheets reached their modern configurations during the late Holocene."

During the Medieval Warm Period, or from approximately 1500 to 700 years before present, variations in F. curta diatom, a proxy for sea ice extent, indicate Antarctic sea ice retreated again to its much lower (<40%) Middle Holocene levels.

"...during the period between 1.5 and 0.7 calkyr BP...lower F. curta abundance in Robertson Bay (<40%) is characteristic of a reduction in spring sea ice concentration and a longer summer open water season."

Science Shock: U.K. Met Office is “Inventing” Temperature Data from 100 Non-Existent Stations

 Shocking evidence has emerged that points to the U.K. Met Office inventing temperature data from over 100 non-existent weather stations. The explosive allegations have been made by citizen journalist Ray Sanders and sent to the new Labour Science Minister Peter Kyle MP. Following a number of Freedom of Information requests to the Met Office and diligent field work visiting individuals stations, Sanders has discovered that 103 stations out of 302 sites supplying temperature averages do not exist. “How would any reasonable observer know that the data was not real and simply ‘made up’ by a Government agency,” asks Sanders. He calls for an “open declaration” of likely inaccuracy of existing published data, “to avoid other institutions and researchers using unreliable data and reaching erroneous conclusions”.

In his home county of Kent, Sanders charges that four of the eight sites identified by the Met Office, namely Dungeness, Folkestone, Dover and Gillingham – which all produce rolling temperature averages to the second decimal place of a degree – are “fiction”. Sanders notes that there has been no weather station at Dungeness since 1986. The Daily Sceptic is able to confirm that none of the four stations appear in the list of Met sites with a classification from the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO). The Met Office directs online inquiries about Dover to the ”nearest climate station” at Dover Harbour (Beach) and provides a full set of rolling 30-year averages. According to Met Office co-ordinates, the site is on Dover beach as the Google Earth photo below shows. It seems unlikely that any scientific organisation would site a temperature monitoring station that is likely to be submerged on a regular basis. Who is running this station on the beach, have accurate records been kept for 30 years and why is it not listed under the 380 sites that are given a WMO rating?

Of the 302 sites quoted, Sanders notes that the Met Office “declined to advise me” exactly how or where the alleged ‘data’ were derived for these 103 non-existent sites.

The practice of ‘inventing’ temperature data from non-existent stations is a controversial issue in the United States where the local weather service NOAA has been charged with fabricating data for more than 30% of its reporting sites. Data are retrieved from surrounding stations and the resulting averages are given an ‘E’ for estimate. “The addition of the ghost station data means NOAA’s monthly and yearly reports are not representative of reality,” says meteorologist Anthony Watts. “If this kind of process were used in a court of law, then the evidence would be thrown out as being polluted,” he added.

In its historical data section, the Met Office lists a number of sites with long records of temperature data. Lowestoft provides records going back to 1914 but it closed in 2010. Since that date the figures have been complied on an estimated basis. The stations at Nairn Druim, Paisley and Newton Rigg are similarly closed but still reporting estimated monthly data. “Why would any scientific organisation feel the need to publish what can only be described as fiction?” asks Sanders. “No scientific purpose can possibly be served by fabrication,” he suggests....<<<Read More>>>...

Scientists Find No Change in Global Warming Rate Since 1970 Despite “Hottest Year Ever” in 2023

 A sensational science paper has blown holes in alarmist claims that global temperatures are surging. Just published results in Nature show “limited evidence” for a warming surge. “In most surface temperature time series, no change in the warming rate beyond the 1970s is detected despite the breaking record temperatures observed in 2023,” the paper says. Written by an international group of mathematicians and scientists, it is unlikely to be acknowledged in the mainstream media where general hysteria reigns over the anomalous 2023 experience. As we have seen, constant misinformation is published to scare the general public and this is exemplified by climate comedy-turn Jim ‘jail the deniers’ Dale forecasting almost daily Armageddon and exhorting people to “join up the dots”.

In science, one swallow does not make a summer and in climate science it is impossible to show a trend by picking on short periods or individual weather events. This paper is an excellent piece of climate science work since it takes the long statistical view and challenges the two-a penny clickbait alarmists looking for a headline on the BBC. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is a biased body but it understands the importance of long-term climate trends by stating, much to the chagrin of Net Zero-promoting activists, that it can find little or no human involvement in most extreme weather events either in the past or in the likely immediate future. But these findings, along with the paper on the warming trend, are inconvenient to those promoting the unproven claim that humans control the climate thermostat by utilising hydrocarbons.

The paper is highly technical and mathematically-inclined readers can study the full workings out in the open access publication. It notes that global temperature datasets fluctuate due to short-term variability and this often creates the appearance of surges and slowdowns in warming. It is important to consider random noise caused by natural variation when investigating the recent pauses in temperature and the more recent “alleged warming acceleration”, it adds. In fact there have been a number of plausible explanations given for the recent spike, with attention focused on the massive Hunga Tonga submarine volcano adding 13% extra water vapour to the stratosphere, a strong El Niño and even the reduction in atmospheric particulates caused by recent changes in shipping vessel fuel. Several “changepoints” were used by the mathematicians and it was found that “a warming surge could not be reliably detected any time after 1970”.

While the focus was on whether there had been a continued acceleration in the rate of global warming, it was recognised how unusual the surface temperature anomalies were in 2023. Indeed they were, and it was widely argued that this showed the climate was breaking down, or in the silly words of the UN chief Antonio Guterres that the planet was “boiling”. Last year’s hysterics were useful for short-term alarmism but they help destroy the ‘settled’ science around CO2. If human-caused CO2 is responsible for the rise, why did the temperature pause from 1998-2012 when atmospheric levels of the gas were on the up. Does alarmism on the BBC and most other mainstream media only apply when the temperatures spikes upwards for a few months?

One of the key conclusions in the paper arises from considering two time series – 1970-2023 and 2013-2023. This of course includes the early 1970s when global cooling fears were all the rage and average temperatures were falling. Estimated temperature trends were said to be 0.019°C per year for the first time segment and 0.029°C for the second that includes the spike from last year. This 0.029°C estimated slope “falls far short” of an increase needed to point to a change in the warming trend in the recent past. This is because of short-term variability in the U.K. Met Office HadCRUT global database since 1970 and “uncertainty” of the 2012 changepoint. This uncertainty arises over speculation as to whether 2012 and the ending of the pause was a year marking an important change in the longer time series. ”The HadCRUT record is simply not long enough for the surge to be statistically detectable at this time,” they note....<<<Read More>>>...

Sunlight and clouds, not CO2, responsible for planetary climate changes

Ned Nikolov, a physical researcher and scientist affiliated with Colorado State University, is speaking out about the false claims of the United Nations (UN) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concerning the agency's claims that carbon dioxide (CO2) is destroying the planet.

On August 14, President Biden released a National Heat Strategy for 2024-2030 report in which the IPCC's propaganda against CO2 is prolific. Nikolov wants the world to know that both Biden and the IPCC are "completely wrong" in their assessment of what factors impact the climate.

"The greenhouse theory claims that atmospheric composition is important," he said. "They are arguing that tiny increases of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere cause global warming and that we must stop burning fossil fuel to avoid dangerous climate change. This is completely wrong."

The co-chair of the IPCC Working Group I, by the way, is a Chinese climatologist by the name of Panmao Zhai who is aggressively pushing anti-CO2 propaganda on the world.

"Stabilizing the climate will require strong, rapid, and sustained reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, and reaching net-zero CO2 emissions," Comrade Panmao is quoted as saying.

Aussie’s ABC TV forms ‘National Climate Team’ of reporters to hype global warming – Critics slam as ‘battalion of bedwetters’

 The ABC’s global warming hype isn’t lurid enough, so the national broadcaster’s bosses have turned up the dial to 11. Step forward the ABC’s new “National Climate Team”. 

Creating this battalion of bedwetters was the brain snap of retiring managing director David Anderson.  Based on the precedent of  Alan Joyce‘s departure from Qantas, it’s my view that he should be docked at least $1 million of his $1.16 million parting salary. 

The National Climate Team’s parameters remain under wraps, but random details trickle out. For example, the Team includes weather specialist Tyne Logan.

Net Zero is Impoverishing the West and Enriching China (Exactly as planned)

 The West’s headlong rush to jettison fossil fuels and hit ‘Net Zero’ carbon dioxide emissions is impoverishing us while enriching China, which is ramping up its coal-fired industry to sell us all the ‘green’ technology, says Bjorn Lomborg in the Telegraph. Here’s an excerpt:

Starting in the 1990s, climate change has become a fixation for rich country politicians and elites. It emerged as the world had just seen the end of the Cold War. 

There was relative peace and trust across the world, broad economic growth and swift progress being made against poverty. In the capitals of Europe in particular, it felt like most of the planet’s big problems were fixed, so climate change was the final frontier.

These proponents of climate action advocated with relish the goal of ending reliance on the very fossil fuels that had powered two centuries of astonishing growth. Sure, this would cost hundreds of trillions of dollars, but there would always be more growth.

What a naïve, narrow-minded world view. Time has not been kind to the foolish idea that climate change was humanity’s sole remaining problem – or that the planet would unite to solve it. Geopolitics and economics mean a rapid global transition from fossil fuels is impossible.

As has long been clear for many, the majority of the world never shared this myopic focus on climate change. Despite immense progress, in some countries life remains a battle against poverty, hunger and disease. In many more countries including India, the top priority is to create more jobs and life-changing growth and development. Outside the most advanced economies, climate change has understandably always been a relatively low voter priority.

Leaders from Europe and the United States talk up “Net Zero” as though it has global support. But this unity is quickly revealed as a mirage. For one thing, the destabilising axis of Russia, Iran and North Korea are not about to support Western efforts to solve climate change. Indeed, according to McKinsey, achieving the Net Zero target would require Russian climate policies costing $273 billion every year – around three-times what Russia spent on its military last year. That won’t happen.

The geopolitical challenges run even deeper. China’s growth has relied on burning ever more coal. It is the world’s preeminent greenhouse gas emitter, with the largest increase of any nation last year. Renewable energy made 40% of China’s primary energy in 1971, reducing to 7% by 2011 as it ramped up coal use. Since then, renewables have inched up to 10%. Strong climate action could cost China nearly a trillion dollars annually, hurting its journey toward becoming a rich nation.

The reality is that most of the world – including powerhouse India and emerging economies – will continue to focus on becoming richer, often with fossil fuels. Russia and its ilk will ignore the fixation on climate change altogether. And China will make money from selling the West solar panels and electric cars, while only modestly curbing its own emissions.

As rich countries irresponsibly attempt to export the cost of climate policy to poor countries through carbon adjustment taxes, they will drive a further wedge into an already fractured world...<<<Read More>>>....

Global warming in the last 20 years has mostly been caused by changes in the clouds, not greenhouse gases

An assumption made by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (“IPCC”) in its most recent report is that the warming caused by the increase in long-wave back radiation was due solely to the anthropogenic greenhouse effect.

The IPCC attributes 100% of the warming to this effect and justifies this with model calculations. However, a study published in 2021 proved this to be incorrect.

he analysis of the measured data by Rolf Dübal and Fritz Vahrenholt showed that the warming due to the decrease of short-wave radiation and the increase in long-wave radiation is mainly attributable to the cloud effect.

“The direct aerosol effect is rather small, but the indirect effect via the cloud formation may be larger,” the researchers noted in their peer-reviewed paper.

The two researchers investigated the Earth’s radiation balance over the last 20 years in a peer-reviewed study published in the journal Atmosphere in September 2021. The study titled ‘Radiative Energy flux variation from 2001 – 2020’ brought to light that the warming of the Earth in the last 20 years is mainly due to a higher permeability of clouds for short-wave solar radiation. The authors came to this clear conclusion after evaluating the CERES radiation data.

“The warming of the last 20 years has been caused more by change in the clouds than by the classical greenhouse effect,” they said.

Adding, “The time span of 20 years is still too short to be able to decide conclusively whether the current heating phase is a temporary or permanent development. In the former case, climate forecasts will have to be fundamentally revised.”...<<<Read More>>>...

Are climate scientists becoming slaves to a system designed to prevent science?

 The climate system is extremely complex and our understanding is deeply uncertain. There is a whole lot that we don’t know and even more that we can’t know.

When in the 1980s, the United Nations (“UN”) picked up on climate change as a tool to push forward a Globalist agenda, it became an assumption that global warming was dangerous.

However, over the last 100 years, temperatures have risen by 1oC and agricultural productivity has skyrocketed, the global population has increased by 400%, fewer people live in poverty and there are fewer deaths from extreme weather and climate events.

Since 2021, the UN is predicting that global temperatures will rise by another 1oC by 2100. Based on the effects of the last 100 years, is this really a problem?

The public doesn’t get to hear of these things because the information given to the public is carefully laundered spin which is amplified by corporate media. Governments wasting TRILLIONS on “climate change” using faulty temperature data, experts warn

The only reason why it seems like global temperatures are rising is because a whopping 96 percent of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) temperature monitoring stations are located in "urban heat islands" next to things like warm exhaust fans and "blistering-hot rooftops."

Despite trillions of dollars in taxpayer-funded mitigation measures that have been implemented over the years, 2023 was still said to be the hottest year on record, according to the NOAA. However, we now know that this is because the federal agency's thermometers were intentionally placed near really hot urban structures, which ultimately skewed the data.

For years, the United Nations (UN) has been warning that global temperatures can only warm 1.5 degrees Celsius in the coming years. Anything more than that will make the planet unlivable, resulting in major catastrophes like droughts, flooding and extreme heat.

Based on the skewed temperature readings from the NOAA's monitoring stations, the earth is already 1.35 degrees Celsius warmer than the pre-industrial average noted by the UN, meaning there is only 0.15 degrees Celsius more for it to warm before the planet melts.

"Not only was 2023 the warmest year in NOAA's 174-year climate record – it was the warmest by far," commented Sarah Kapnick, the NOAA's chief scientist. "A warming planet means we need to be prepared for the impacts of climate change that are happening here and now, like extreme weather events that become both more frequent and severe."
