Birmingham to Become England’s First 20mph City

In plans updated last week, the Liberal Democrat, Green Party and independent-led council said it wanted all routes except A-roads to become 20mph zones.

The council said it wanted to ensure that cars “no longer dominate street life” by promoting walking and cycling as the best ways to travel. However, opponents have claimed the “anti-motorist policy” will make travelling around the city harder.

The move comes amid Andy Burnham’s push for devolution, which could give local authorities greater power to impose similar controversial policies on their areas.

Birmingham, once regarded as the motor capital of Britain because of its vast car production and trailblazing road designs, adopted a plan in 2021 to expand the rollout of 20mph zones.

The new council coalition has gone further and committed to lowering speed limits across the city.

In its plan, which was put out for public consultation last week, Birmingham City Council said: “A limit of 20mph will be standard on all local roads.....<<<Read More>>>...

Left-wing politicians’ disdain for patriotism and British culture is behind their war on national flags

The display of national flags, such as the Union Jack and St George’s Cross, is being met with hostility from left-wing politicians, who claim it creates “fear and division” in local communities.

The true reason for the ban, Paul Embery says, is their disdain for patriotism and traditional British culture.

What is it about our national flag that brings out such hypocrisy in the metropolitan elites? Why do these people, who seem entirely relaxed about the display of virtually every other kind of flag, even politically contentious or divisive ones, exhibit such hostility towards the colours of their own nation?

In recent days, Oxfordshire County Council became the first local authority to successfully impose a legal ban on the placement of flags on lampposts, after activists from the ‘Raise the Colours’ campaign had festooned some streets with the Union Jack and St George’s Cross.

The council is run by – no surprises here – the Liberal Democrats. In the high court, where it was seeking an injunction against the activists, the council claimed that the display of flags from roadside infrastructure gave rise to serious safety concerns.

But its leader, Tim Bearder, had already disclosed what appeared to be the real reason for the ban, telling the media before the court hearing that the flags were creating “fear and division” in local communities...<<<Read More>>>....

Green Councils Want to Scrap School Exams, Get Rid of Prevent and Refuse to Co-Operate With Immigration Enforcement

Green-led councils are eyeing a range of crackpot policies, including ditching school exams, scrapping Prevent and refusing to co-operate with immigration enforcement. The Telegraph has the story.

Three London councils – Hackney, Lewisham and Haringey – said they wanted to lobby the Government on a series of national issues over education, home affairs and counter-terrorism following Green wins in the local elections on May 7th.

The Greens won 441 seats and seized control of five councils for the first time in the party’s history. But concerns have been raised that the Left-wing party could use its powers to “undermine vital safeguarding measures”.

Scrapping “high-stakes formal testing” in schools, such as GCSEs and A-levels, is one of the policy ideas being explored.

In Hackney, East London, Green councillors said they would refuse to share data of migrant victims of domestic abuse with immigration enforcement agencies.

Instead, they advocated a firewall to be established between the police and the Home Office, which could frustrate attempts by the Government to tackle Britain’s illegal immigration crisis. …

The Green Party’s manifesto also includes plans to lobby the Government to axe Prevent, the Government’s deradicalisation programme aimed to stop people from “becoming terrorists and supporting terrorism”. …

They also hope to convince the Supreme Court to rewrite the Code of Practice, which would “allow for trans inclusion in single-sex services”, undermining efforts to keep biological men from participating in women’s sports or entering female prisons. …<<<Read More>>>....

1 in 7 People Now Ask AI Instead of Seeing a GP, Study Finds

A new UK study says one in seven people are already using chatbots for health advice instead of contacting a GP or another NHS service. One in ten say they have used AI for mental-health therapy or wellbeing support instead of seeing a trained professional. 25% of people making the switch to digital, unregulated medical advice cite long NHS wait times as part of the reason, 20% of people said AI did not encourage them to seek professional help, and 21% said they decided against professional advice because of what a chatbot told them.

The new study by King’s Health Partners reveals a worrying change in behaviour rather than a passing curiosity. According to the results, people have transitioned beyond just asking ChatGPT if their headache may be down to stress, and we’re seeing a growing share of the public letting unregulated consumer AI models shape decisions about whether or not to see a GP. Professor Graham Lord, the lead author, said the country is seeing “an unregulated AI healthcare system alongside the NHS.”

Along with Responsible AI UK and the Policy Institute at King’s College London, King’s Health Partners surveyed more than 2,000 adults and found that convenience was the biggest reason people turned to chatbots for medical advice, cited as 46% of adults, followed by “curiosity” at 45%, uncertainty about whether the issue was serious enough for a GP at 39%, and NHS waiting times at 25%. The combination of frustration, convenience, and doubt is a revealing one, as it means people are not turning to AI because they trust it more than professionals. Instead, they are using chatbots simply because they are easier, faster, and more available....<<<Read More>>>...

Defra wants to replace native white Britons with anything but white to “diversify” the countryside

More mad world stuff .... they want the racist white people gone from the UK countryside (Places like the Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia etc) to be replaced by the diverse non-racist imports from other parts of the world .... this pantomime has reached popcorn time .... the white hating satanists are in full flow ... imagine a typical scene in say Ambleside (Lake District) .... non-whites on all the streets, in all the shops and cafes; in the cars. Cafes and restaurants not selling bacon, pork, salami ... NO more pubs will exist .... no doubt a mosque or two will appear in Ambleside ... all churches will probably be converted .... a horror story in the making .... enter DEFRA and its woke satanism.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The British government has launched a project to increase ethnic minority visitation and employment in the English countryside. Why? Because it is “too white” and therefore, in the skewed minds of left-wing ideologues, “racist.”

So, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has embarked on a project to replace the “whiteness,” i.e. the natives, of the English countryside with non-whites.

Defra’s initiative is an attempt to erode the cultural continuity of the native British people and impose a multicultural ideology, rather than addressing the actual reasons for low ethnic minority participation in rural areas.

In the early months of 2026, the British state has formalised a remarkable project: the engineered diversification of the English countryside, long characterised – accurately, if now scandalously – as a “white environment.” Initiatives driven by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (“Defra”) and adopted by National Landscapes (formerly Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) explicitly target increased ethnic minority visitation and employment. These efforts, rooted in reports decrying rural spaces as “exclusive,” “white middle-class” and potentially “irrelevant” to a multicultural society, include tailored outreach to Muslim communities in urban centres such as Luton, revised marketing featuring greater diversity, multilingual materials and recruitment drives.

Anything but a benign expansion of access, this move represents a polemical assertion by a deracinated elite that the native British people possess no legitimate claim to cultural continuity in their ancestral landscapes. Where once the countryside offered solace – a living repository of history, quiet and a slower rhythm of life consonant with the temper of the English character – it is now to be refashioned as a theatre for demographic demonstration. The implications are profound, and the pessimism that they evoke reflects clear-eyed recognition of civilisational erosion rather than nostalgia....<<<Read More>>>...

Trans Green Party Candidate With No Permanent British Visa is Elected to Holyrood

A biologically male trans Green candidate, who had been crowdfunding for a temporary UK visa days before the election, has now been voted into Holyrood as an MSP. The Mail has more.

Q. Manivannan, 29, began a fundraiser for a temporary graduate visa before [his] election to Holyrood as an MSP this week.

Dr Manivannan, a non-binary Indian immigrant who came to Scotland in 2021, sent messages to party colleagues asking them to donate to a fundraiser seeking to collect £2,089 for the visa, which would allow [him] three years to work and live in the UK.

A newly-elected regional list MSP who stood in Edinburgh and Lothian East, Dr Manivannan said the time-limited right to stay in the country would allow [him] to save for the £5,047 cost of applying for a global talent visa. …

Former Conservative MSP Sue Webber, who failed to win a seat on Friday, had previously said: “Voters will be astonished that this candidate doesn’t even know if they will be able to stay in the country going forward.”

Dr Manivannan was elected as one of the first two transgender MSPs to sit in Holyrood …

Dr Manivannan was able to stand for Holyrood despite not being a UK citizen because of legislation passed under the SNP Government in 2020.

Under the updated election law anyone with the right to live in the UK, including those with a temporary right to vote, can stand as a candidate at elections to the Scottish Parliament. …<<<Read More>>>...

UK Government’s obsession with controlling our lives continues: Net Zero Zealots are targeting tumble dryers

Just when are people going to wake up to this insanity and utter madness?

 +++++++++++++++++++++

Ed Miliband, the UK Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, is implementing regulations to phase out the sale of traditional tumble dryers (including vented and condenser models) to meet Net Zero targets.

This policy, part of the proposed replacement of ‘Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Household Tumble Dryers) Regulations 2021’, bans new models with an Energy Efficiency Index (“EEI”) above 85.

“The government will repeal and replace the current ecodesign and energy labelling standards for household tumble dryers in GB with new regulations that will bring in requirements in line with the European Union (EU) Regulations,” the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s response to a consultation on raising standards for household tumble dryers said.

“The policy does not prohibit owning or using existing tumble dryers, but instead restricts the sale of new, less-efficient models in order to achieve Net Zero targets,” Express reported.

Critics, including Reform UK and the Conservative Party, have condemned the move as ludicrous and a “mad” form of “Soviet control.”

Miliband’s machines are more expensive, require longer drying times and heat pumps are noisy; according to the Hearing Health Foundation, anything above 70dB is enough to damage hearing over time. Additionally, certain heat pump models have technical faults that have caused the machines to burst into flames. In December, the owners of 85,000 heat-pump tumble dryers were warned about a fire risk with their machines....<<<Read More>>>....

The Devon Experiment That Could Plunge Britain Into Darkness

In the Telegraph, Lauren Shirreff reports that Exeter is switching off its street lights to save money and the planet – but locals say it feels like a nightly curfew, with women in particular feeling unsafe getting home. Here’s how her article begins:

“It’s like having a curfew,” says Rose Lelliott, 23. Outside her flat, on a quiet road in Exeter – the sort of place you’d imagine your mother would encourage you to live, were you a young woman moving away from home for the first time – the street lights that once guided her way to the local train station are all either broken, working at half-power or permanently snuffed out.

Lelliott commutes to London once a week, where she works as a researcher at the House of Commons. To make the train for her 9am start, she has to be out the door by 5.15am, but the streetlamps along her road are turned off between 12.30pm and 5.30am. After 9.30pm, they’re dimmed to just 40% of their usual power.

Lelliott used to make the 20-minute journey on foot, “but I wouldn’t chance it now”, she says. So she spends £9 each way on taxi fares, on top of the cost of her return ticket. “I’m having to pay because I don’t feel safe,” she says, “but I’ve also heard from a woman who’s given up her job completely because she was doing shift work. She had to choose between financial independence and her own safety.”

This is a student city, but for many women here, a night on the town is now out of the question....<<<Read More>>>...

The Low Alcohol Era is Now Upon Us – and It Will Bore Us Silly

Bridget Jones era women cackling over a bottle of Chardonnay, men in quarter zips knocking back the negronis, highlighted blondes ordered vat-like glasses of rosé or ‘lady petrol’, groups of lads downing pints of Stella a.k.a. wife-beater, Cheltenham racegoers consuming lakes of Guinness, west country teenagers sloshing plastic glasses of sui-cider, couples sharing a bottle of Burgundy and a bag of kettle crisps on a Friday night – what was once a great nation of heroic drinkers is evaporating into a temperate nation of 0.0 boredom.

My own recent drinking experiences – or lack of them – mirrors the news that the UK’s appetite for alcohol is shifting. The low-alcohol market is growing apace and 35% of younger people are said to avoid drink altogether. Mintel, the market research firm, suggests that the low/non-alcohol market at £330 million in 2024 is set to grow to £800 million by 2028.

A combination of better products and a greater interest in health and wellbeing are understood to be driving the trend. 0.0 Guinness tastes, I’m told, exactly the same as real Guinness and is the UK’s top-selling non-alcoholic beer with over half of Ocado’s deliveries being the 0.0 version. While it’s tempting to celebrate this trend – let us not forget the tragedy of approximately 10,000 alcohol-specific deaths a year – am I wrong in thinking, Basil Fawlty-like, it’s a pity that that particular avenue of pleasure has been closed off?...<<<Read More>>>...

Rural Britain Needs To Be Less White

Whatever Next! Britain is a WHITE country. We do not want any more dilution of the true Brits ... it has gone far enough ....

++++++++++++++++++++++

Anyone who has watched the hit Netflix show Bridgerton might have raised an eyebrow or two at the sight of an elegant Georgian England that bears little or no resemblance to the historical reality. The line-up of characters features a dramatic display of ethnically diverse characters that serves almost as a parody of the tick-box casting the BBC has recently been told to stop indulging in.

Reinventing the past for the sake of entertainment, however misleading, is one thing. Now it seems the present is to be reinvented too.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has put together plans to diversify the countryside and make it “less white”, according to the Telegraph, though perhaps it should be called the “Bridgertonisation” of rural Britain:

The plans follow Defra-commissioned reports that claimed the countryside would become “irrelevant” in a multicultural society, as it was a “white environment” principally enjoyed by the “white middle class”.

National Landscapes – previously called areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) – and their local councils have since committed to a number of diversity targets.

The Chilterns National Landscape team has set out proposals that include community outreach schemes to attract more Muslims to the area, particularly from nearby Luton.

More diverse staff will be recruited, marketing material will be produced featuring people visibly from ethnic minorities, and written in “community languages”.

Research has also been commissioned to support this work, some of which suggests that dogs should be kept under tighter control, as some groups are scared of them....<<<Read More>>>...

DEI and a stark admission – it’s a war against straight white males

A MONTH ago Compact magazine published The Lost Generation, an article by the leftist millennial writer Jacob Savage. It went viral and divided opinion. To conservatives it was old news or even faintly humorous. To millennial leftists it was an uncomfortable revelation, though it’s highly unlikely Savage will effect any long-term change in their ideology or behaviour since their entire ethos has an inbuilt requirement pushing it towards ever greater extremes.

What was it he wrote that made them – risking a thrashing in the waters of the online moment – share, and thus acknowledge, their shock and discomfort?

Savage explains, in a way more devastating for being regretful rather than vicious, what the impact of DEI policies looks like. He describes the rather obvious fact that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies might better be described as Discrimination, Entitlement and Injustice. It also comes from an insider, a signed-up fellow traveller. Savage is a screenwriter who ticks all the boxes in terms of the politics and ideology now demanded in his industry.

This is a writer who ‘cared about social justice’, voted Democrat, and subscribed to all the uniform opinions and highly delusional leftist self-image of themselves as bringers of justice, righters of wrongs, and champions of the poor, the oppressed and the vulnerable.

Savage begins his critique with personal details of hardship, referencing his poverty as he struggled in his career and talking about a specific incident when a screenplay and a writing post were denied to him because he is a white male (explicitly stated to him by the industry figures involved in the decision). He doesn’t phrase this in an angry or even annoyed fashion, but almost wistfully, like a man describing a beloved girlfriend he let go.

The use of personal experience is of course entirely in line with woke prioritisation of emotion and feeling, especially in ‘lived experience’ narratives of discrimination and the tendency towards ‘my truth’ accounts. What makes it so effective is that Savage knows this literature and has spent much of his life agreeing with it, but turns its devices back upon his own treatment and that of white millennial males generally....<<<Read More>>>...

Thought police arrive in Pennsylvania: Court greenlights warrantless search of your Google history

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled police do not need a warrant to access an individual's Google search history.

The court argued users have no "reasonable expectation of privacy" because tech companies routinely collect and sell data.

The decision stemmed from a rape investigation where police used a "reverse keyword warrant" to identify a suspect.

Legal experts warn the ruling treats private thoughts as public data and sets a dangerous national precedent.

The logic suggests opting out of surveillance requires abstaining from essential modern internet use.

In a ruling that privacy advocates warn fundamentally reshapes the boundaries of government surveillance, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declared Tuesday that law enforcement does not need a warrant to access an individual’s Google search history. The decision, which originated from a 2025 rape investigation in Pennsylvania, concluded that internet users cannot reasonably expect privacy for their online queries because data collection by corporations is now commonplace. By equating corporate data harvesting with a public surrender of constitutional rights, the court has granted police a powerful new tool to probe the private thoughts of citizens, setting a precedent that threatens to chill free inquiry and expand the surveillance state....<<<Read More>>>...

‘Offensive’ Christmas Songs Could Fall Victim to Labour’s Banter Ban

Festive revellers may have to be careful which Christmas songs they sing down the pub, as the newly-passed Employment Right Bill obliges publicans to protect their staff from offensive lyrics. The Telegraph has the story.

Sitting in a pub with a glass of mulled wine, while loudly singing along to a Christmas song, is a much-loved tradition of the festive season.

But its days may be numbered as pub landlords must ban ‘offensive’ lyrics under new laws requiring them to take “all reasonable steps” to protect staff from third-party harassment.

The songs affected could include ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’, which has faced criticism from the #MeToo movement, ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’, which has been accused of stereotyping the continent of Africa, and ‘Jingle Bells’, which is said to have ‘racist’ origins.

Under Labour’s controversial Employment Rights Bill, which became law last week, employers will have a legal duty to prevent harassment by third parties relating to a ‘protected characteristic’ such as race, religion, sexual orientation or age.

Ministers have been warned that this will result in pub landlords, as well as restaurant owners and hoteliers, being turned into the ‘banter cops’, where they are forced to police what their customers say.

Free-speech campaigners fear it could also lead to pubs banning Christmas music sing-alongs over worries their lyrics may cause offence.

Toby Young, general secretary of the Free Speech Union, said he had previously warned that the ‘banter ban’ would lead to the “policing of harmless fun in pubs, bars and restaurants, giving the scolds and finger-waggers another pretext to stop people enjoying themselves”.

He added: “The Government didn’t listen, insisting we were being alarmist, but a ban on Christmas music and carol singing will be the least of it. Prepare to live in a country in which every hospitality venue is a micro-managed ‘safe space’, overseen by lanyard-wearing banter bouncers. Welcome to Starmer’s Britain.”...<<<Read More>>>...

The State is both psychopathic and breathtakingly stupid: ‘Teenager gets criminal conviction over £1.67 bill on surprise birthday gift, in new fast-track court scandal.’

A teenager has been handed a criminal conviction over £1.67 of unpaid car tax on a surprise birthday gift, for an offence committed before she had even received the vehicle.

The 18-year-old was prosecuted by the DVLA over the bill on her new Toyota, in the latest case of harsh justice to emerge from the Single Justice Procedure.

In a letter to the court, she explained the car was bought as a surprise 18th birthday gift from her parents, and she was entirely unaware of it when it was untaxed for a few weeks in April and early May.

She set out how her parents were waiting to see if she passed her driving test before paying the annual £20 road tax fee.

“As I was not the driver at the time of the offence and not aware that I owned the vehicle, I kindly ask that you review this offence”, the teenager wrote in her letter.

But despite the circumstances, magistrate Francine Beckett, sitting in Burnley, decided to impose a criminal conviction on the teen.

She received a six-month conditional discharge from the court, and was also ordered to settle the £1.67 bill.

It was nearly two years ago that The Standard first exposed deep flaws in the Single Justice Procedure, a fast-track courts system which sits behind closed doors.

Prosecutors like the DVLA do not routinely see mitigation letters, so miss the chance to withdraw cases which turn out not to be in the public interest.

Data also shows that magistrates rarely refer cases back to prosecutors for a public interest check – even when there is compelling and often heartbreaking information in the mitigation letter – contributing to the system being nicknamed “conveyor belt justice”.

The teenager, from Porth in South Wales, was prosecuted for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

She submitted an online guilty plea, but then went on to explain: “I was unknowingly the owner of the vehicle in question.”...<<<Read More>>>...

NHS Nurses Who Refused to Share Changing Room With Man Now Face Misconduct Probe for Telling Story

The four Darlington NHS nurses who refused to share a changing room with a male colleague now face a misconduct probe for telling their story and raising awareness of their treatment. The Telegraph has more.

Bethany Hutchison, Lisa Lockey, Annice Grundy and Tracey Hooper, who all work at the Darlington Memorial Hospital, could be dragged through a disciplinary process after speaking publicly about being forced to undress in front of Rose Henderson, who [is] male.

Rose Henderson identifies as female but has not undergone any physical or hormonal transition.

The nurses have filed a legal case suing their employer, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, for sexual harassment and discrimination.

They claimed they were told to “broaden their mindset”, “be more inclusive” and undergo “re-education” when they repeatedly raised concerns with NHS managers.

Their high-profile employment tribunal will be heard later this month. But the nurses now face professional misconduct investigations after four complaints were made by members of the public to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

The nurses, who are being supported by lawyers at the Christian Legal Centre, have submitted a detailed legal response to the NMC, arguing that the complaints from the members of the public are ideologically driven, legally baseless and amount to unlawful victimisation.

They assert that their actions were protected under the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act, and that they acted in good faith, with legal advice and in full compliance with the NMC Code.

The NMC has said in writing to the nurses that it is gathering “information and [will] assess whether the concerns raised require a full NMC investigation”.

NMC cases can take years to be resolved, with the professionals involved experiencing the threat and stress of being disciplined or even losing their careers...<<<Read More>>>...

He cannot be serious. Oh, he CAN. What – given to people who did not experience slavery? Throw in reincarnation between black and white and it all gets terribly complicated

Self-identity with the body instead of consciousness experiencing through the body is at the heart of human bewilderment, misdirection, divide and rule, and mass control.

PS: How many black people who had the ‘Covid’ fake vaccine because Lenny Henry told them to are no longer with us to collect reparations?

Sir Lenny Henry wants Britain to pay £19 trillion in slavery reparations

Sir Lenny Henry has called on Britain to pay almost £19 TRILLION in slavery reparations. With the UK’s GDP standing at just over £3.6 trillion, that’s the total market value of all goods and services for at least the next five years.

To give an indication as to just how much that is, Chancellor Rachel Reeves is currently looking to plug a £30bn hole in her budget.

About £18.6 trillion would fill the £30bn hole more than 630-times over. Sir Lenny, 67, said that paying the reparations would lead to a ‘nationwide sigh of relief’ for something that had ‘gone unspoken’ for so long.

He made reference to the Brattle Report of 2023, which calculated that Britain owes £18.6 trillion in reparations ‘for its role in transatlantic chattel slavery, primarily for the enslavement period in the Americas and Caribbean’.

The report puts a number to the damages caused by slavery, including trauma, loss of heritage and modern day disparities in life expectancy, employment and income.

The £18.6 trillion figure was landed upon after totting up the wealth ‘extracted’ from slaves, and the economic consequences for the nations colonised by Britain....<<<Read More>>>...

This MAD World - Labour Gives Green Light for “Activist” Councils to Rename Streets With Links to Empire

Labour has quietly empowered activist councils to rename streets linked to slavery and the Empire without local consent. The Telegraph has the story.

The proposals were brought forward by the last Tory government to stop local authorities caving into campaigns by pressure groups.

Councils faced a slew of calls to rename streets linked to slave owners and the Empire following the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.

Online campaigns led local authorities across the country to announce that they were reviewing all such road names in their area.

Michael Gove, the then Local Communities Secretary, responded with plans that would have made councils hold a referendum to change a street name. Under the proposals, published in 2022, they would have needed to secure support from two thirds of residents on a road to go ahead with renaming.

The revelation that Ms. Rayner has dropped the plans was contained in a report by the Policy Exchange think tank....<<<Read More>>>...

More Madness - NHS advises doctors to tell patients with asthma how much their inhalers are contributing to “climate change”

Another pantomime script designed to scare the gullible souls who believe everything they are told by deep state controlled organisations ..... more utter bollocks and total lies spewed by the psychopaths

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Greener NHS has issued new guidance advising doctors to stop prescribing blue asthma inhalers, which are used by millions of patients, due to their contribution to climate change.

In a shocking article published yesterday, The Times clearly demonstrates that the National Health Service (“NHS”) is reaching a tipping point where it is less about health and more about climate change.

The article is about the NHS advising doctors to stop prescribing blue inhalers for asthmatics. Why? Because, according to the headline, the blue inhalers harm the planet. However, after describing the problems asthmatics are causing the environment, almost as an afterthought, The Times noted the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (“NICE”) advice that explains the switch in inhalers is for health reasons.

That The Times has chosen to report on the story in such a way that highlights the NHS is now putting a fabricated anthropogenic climate change crisis above the health of the population is dangerous. Just as shocking as the NHS’ attitude towards its patients, The Times does not criticise the NHS or point out the dangers of green fascism (eco-fascism) taking hold in what was once legitimately called healthcare....<<<Read More>>>...

From The Ridiculous to The Sublime - BURPS, FARTS AND TAXES: Denmark becomes the first country to tax farm animals’ methane emissions

Another script from the pantomime known as 'The Mad World' ... for the benefit of the gullible useless eaters set up by the psychopathic 10% who KNOW there is no climate change caused by CO2, Methane or anything. There is no greenhouse gas damage.....

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Denmark has just passed the first tax in the world on animal belches and flatulence in a bid to protect the environment.

The tax has been under negotiation for several years and was just passed by the Danish parliament.

The measure, which will go into effect in 2030, will see farmers assessed a charge of 300 Danish kroner (roughly $43) for each ton of carbon dioxide equivalent produced by their operations. This tax will more than double within five years, hitting 750 kroner (or around $106 right now) by 2035.

However, farmers will receive a 60% rebate because the technology does not yet exist to get rid of flatulence completely. The rebates will go up for farmers who take steps like sending their pig’s manure to machines that can pipe the methane to the gas grid or use additives in cows that will reduce the methane in their burps. Of course, one has to wonder what chemicals that can change an animal’s body chemistry enough to reduce the methane in their burps could do to the health of the people who consume them.

The government’s green transition minister, Jeppe Bruus, said in a statement: "We will do what it takes to reach our climate goals. [It is a] huge, huge task that is now underway: to transform large parts of our land from agricultural production to forestry, to natural spaces, to ensure that we can bring life back to our coastlines."

Denmark has five times as many cows and pigs as it does people, and almost two thirds of the country’s land is used for farming. As a result, agriculture contributes more to pollution than any other industry, putting it in green politicians’ crosshairs.

Arla Foods, the biggest dairy cooperative in Europe, is in favor of the move. Although they don’t necessarily support a tax, they believe that the compromise is a reasonable solution to the environmental concerns associated with dairy farming.

The company’s CEO, Peder Tuborgh, said: “They understand they need to do it; they want to do it. They know it is protecting their reputation, and they’re still producing.”

A dairy farmer who supplies Arla Foods, Jens Christian Sorensen, said he is trying to understand what the tax will mean for him as he has 300 milking cows along with a further 360 calves who are not yet producing any milk but are producing methane. He’s investing in sensors that can tip him off when his cows are sick, and he is tracking their food consumption and milk production as well.

Meanwhile, demand for Danish dairy is rising as global dairy consumption increases. Two thirds of Danish butter and half of its milk powder is exported...<<<Read More>>>...
