A recent study has found that nearly half of all artificial intelligence-powered medical devices authorized for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have not gone through proper testing with patients and lack proper data proving their safety and effectiveness.
Recently published in Nature Medicine, the study found that nearly 43 percent of the 521 AI health devices approved by the FDA between 2016 and 2022 lack publicly available clinical validation data showing they were tested on real patient data. This means that almost half of these tools were not necessarily "trained" on actual patient cases, sparking concerns about their performance in real-world medical settings.
The researchers involved in the study are calling for more transparency and better standards in the development and approval of AI-powered medical devices. They argue that clearer guidelines are needed to determine which devices are truly effective and which might need more testing.
Lead author Sammy Chouffani El Fassi, a medical student from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, emphasized the lack of a standard for understanding the quality and reliability of these devices...<<<Read More>>>...

Sinister Agenda Ahead: Sanofi turns to artificial intelligence to beat flu
This is where all the medical tyranny towards vaccines has been heading all along. You can guarantee that A.I vaccines have been created; are ready for use; and will not be a good thing for us humans. The Sentient A.I invaders have us in a death grip. Sadly.
(FT): French drugmaker Sanofi has teamed up with a US biotech group to use artificial intelligence in an effort to develop more effective flu vaccines.
Sanofi will share human fluid samples and data records with Massachusetts-based Berg, which will use its analytics platform to determine why vaccines work for some people but are ineffective for others. The companies will assess “different populations, races, different ages, different geographies” to gauge whether certain vaccines are more effective in “say, Asia versus Africa versus the US or the UK”.
The partnership comes as pharmaceutical companies are increasingly embracing the potential of AI to identify drug targets, new uses for existing drugs or to secure faster approval of medicines. Niven Narain, chief executive of Berg, said the initiative was the first project of this scale in vaccines and underlined the potential of AI to help combat infectious diseases.
John Shiver, senior vice-president of R&D for vaccines at Sanofi, said the initiative would use Berg’s technology to help interpret immune responses, in what he said was “a new approach in vaccines”. “We are hoping this will get us closer to the next-generation of influenza vaccine,” he added....read more>>>...
