Ice Age coming: Key Atlantic current is weakening much faster than scientists had predicted

A current key to stabilizing climates across the Atlantic and beyond could be one-third weaker by 2040, a new study has revealed.

An essential Atlantic Ocean current that regulates the planet's climate is weakening much faster than previously thought, according to a new study.

The Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), which includes the Gulf Stream, stabilizes climates in the Northern Hemisphere and beyond.

But a new climate model that factors in freshwater melt from Greenland's ice sheet has suggested that, at the current rate of global carbon dioxide emissions, the current could weaken by as much as one-third in the next 15 years. The researchers published their findings Nov. 18 in the journal Nature Geoscience.

Governments are adapting to climate change, which is wrong; we should be adapting to our climate instead

 Climate change adaptation continues to receive increasing attention both in international and domestic contexts. In these discussions, we are continuously told that humanity was more-or-less sufficiently adapted to the historical climate, but now, the rapid and unprecedented rate of climate change is the primary motivation to invest in increased societal resilience to weather and climate hazards. 

We are also told that climate change adaptation is not going well, since the climate is changing much faster than we are adapting to it. 

Both of these points are seriously flawed. Humanity has never been close to sufficiently adapted to any climate. Our historical climate, far from being benign and nurturing, was indifferent and often hostile to our well-being, and this is why history is rife with examples of devastating climate impacts on society. 

At the same time, humanity has had tremendous success strengthening our defences against the climate’s inherent hostility faster than negative impacts from climate change have materialised. This climate adaptation (as opposed to climate change adaptation) is not a new phenomenon related to United Nations reports or initiatives of local governments. Greta 'Goldilocks' Thunberg: Youth Strike For Globalist Propaganda

Her initial protest fortuitously coincided with the publication of her mother’s book. Greta’s mum, the opera singer Malena Ernman, worked with PR man Ingmar Rentzhog, who promoted her publication.

Rentzhog, coincidentally, launched his climate change social media campaign group “We Don’t Have the Time” the same day that Greta first started her protest. Making a tidy sum along the way.

Greta’s father, Swedish actor Svante Thunberg, said that the family knew nothing about Rentzhog’s use of Greta’s campaign to bring attention to his new lobby group. Surprising that Rentzhog never mentioned it to him when he was promoting his wife’s book. However, Rentzhog skill in public relations, and status as one of multi-millionaire venture capitalist Al Gore’s ‘climate network leaders,’ possibly helped to get Greta’s message out.

Just like all the other hundreds of thousands of children involved, there is absolutely no doubt that Greta is genuine in her concerns about the planet being destroyed by human beings’ CO2 emissions. How could she believe otherwise?

She is among the millions of schoolchildren who have been brought up to believe this scientifically illiterate gibberish.

The problem is, at the time, Greta was a child who was predominantly reliant upon what she was told by her parents, the media and her teachers.

Greta seems like a very intelligent young lady, so she is more than capable of critical thought. However, unless she has access to information, she has no hope of ever exercising any. That basic human right appears to have been stolen from her.

Greta, and millions of children around the world, have been more or less compelled to accept that the ‘science is settled.’ There is no debate and all the world’s leading climate scientists agree that CO2 emissions are the main contributor to global warming.

They have no chance of ever knowing this is complete tosh, because no one will ever tell them about the thousands of scientific papers which disagree.

This is because children are not being educated, they are being indoctrinated. They are not encouraged to explore all available evidence, ask searching questions or form their own opinions.

Greenland's biggest glacier slows down and thickens, baffling scientists

[David Icke]: Jakobshavn Isbrae glacier gaining thickness of 20 metres a year. 

Greenland’s largest glacier has not only slowed its retreat, but has also thickened in recent years, surprising scientists studying the impacts of global warming on ice in the northern hemisphere.

The island is home to the second-largest ice sheet in the world after Antarctica and rapid warming in the northern hemisphere has major implications for continuing global sea-level rise.

The Jakobshavn Isbrae glacier on Greenland’s west coast used to lose more ice from this than anywhere else in the country.

It is known for the huge blocks of ice it calves into Disko Bay, which then drift south into the Atlantic Ocean. It is believed to have calved the iceberg which sank the Titanic.

Between 2000 and 2010, Jakobshavn Isbrae contributed the largest solid ice discharge in all of Greenland’s ice sheet and is estimated to have contributed to nearly 1mm of global sea rise.

But despite the trend of rising temperatures, it is no longer the place where the territory loses most of its ice.

Since 2013, when the glacier’s ice loss was at its fastest, the ice at the terminus of the glacier has stopped decreasing in height and started to thicken.

The overall effect is that it is now flowing more slowly, thickening and advancing towards the ocean instead of retreating further inland.

Measurements of the glacier’s elevation changes on its narrow trunk show that instead of losing 20 metres in height a year as it had previously, the glacier is now thickening by 20 metres a year.

New data processing techniques applied to the information gathered by satellites have given a clearer picture of the extent to which the ice is returning to the glacier, the European Space Agency (ESA) said....read more>>>....

The study, published in Scientific Reports, is the first to demonstrate how widespread the decline was and the scale at which population decline took place 8,000 to 6,000 years ago.

"Archaeologists working in South America have broadly known that some 8,200 years ago, inhabited sites in various places across the continent were suddenly abandoned. In our study we wanted to connect the dots between disparate records that span the Northern Andes, through the Amazon, to the southern tip of Patagonia and all areas in between," said lead author, Dr. Philip Riris (UCL Institute of Archaeology).

"Unpredictable levels of rainfall, particularly in the tropics, appear to have had a negative impact on pre-Columbian populations until 6,000 years ago, after which recovery is evident. This recovery appears to correlate with cultural practices surrounding tropical plant management and early crop cultivation, possibly acting as buffers when wild resources were less predictable," added Dr. Riris.

The study focused on the transition to the Middle Holocene (itself spanning 8,200 and 4,200 years ago), a period of particularly profound change when hunter-gatherer populations were already experimenting with different domestic plants, and forming new cultural habits to suit both landscape and climate change.

The best name I've seen describing the climate change myth is JUNK SCIENCE because that is exactly what it is.

Greenhouse gases are ESSENTIAL to prevent the earth getting too cool and slipping into an ice age!  

CO2 is NOT the major constituent of greenhouse gases. CO2 is present at an extraordinary level of 0.037%!! Yes, read that again CO2 accounts for only 0.037% of greenhouse gases.

It is essential to life and yet been described a pollutant! Mankind contributes about 6% of that figure so that's 6% of 0.037% .... hardly anything at all. Yet, the globalists have sold a lie that CO2 levels are dangerously high and causing the earth to go too warm ... predicting the end of the line in 3 years. BOLLOCKS!!!

So if CO2 accounts for 0.037% of greenhouse gases, what are the other constituents you might ask? What I'm providing is not junk science, it is from a Geography class book I wrote in the late 1980's after a Physical Geography lesson  ... and is a record of what we discussed back then ... Methane accounts for even less of the greenhouse gases as does NO2 (Nitrous Oxide). But the main constituent by far at a staggering 96.5% is WATER VAPOUR. Yes, water vapour is the biggest constituent of greenhouse gases.

The whole climate warming theory is a total scam. A money making scheme by the Globalists ... and now an excuse to wipe mankind out to save the planet. Mankind was down for extermination by the Anunnaki in ages past so the story goes so it is nothing new.
