A Word on 'Gematria'
Gematria dates back to the 8th century B.C. Babylon, and has been used by most mystics since that time including the Magi, Gnostics, and Kabbalists.
Gematria is a system of discovering truths and hidden meanings behind words, using numerical values for letters of the alphabet. Each letter corresponds to a number. The numerical values of words are totaled and interpreted in terms of other words with the same numerical value. Gematria dates back to the 8th century B.C. Babylon, and has been used by most mystics since that time including the Magi, Gnostics, and Quabbalists. Temurah is a form of gematria that creates anagrams through systematic letter substitutions.

A Word on "Boji Stones"
Boji stones come in male, female and androgynous forms and in various sizes, generally from the size of a dime to as about as large as a silver dollar. The male stone is characterized primarily by the uneven, sharp, protruding patterns on their surface.
The female stones are all smooth in their configuration. The androgynous stones display a point or points of some uneven characteristics but not as contiguous as displayed on the male stones. These stones attain their full power when they are used in pairs except for the androgynous stones which can be considered as having the same energy as a pair of male and female stones.
Boji stones can transfer energy from the etheric to the physical body. It will clean, recharge and fill with positive energy, all of the voids or holes in the aura and the auric field...read more>>>...

'The Truth Vibrations'
2012 is going to bring in many things. But the biggest thing of all ... it seems ... is 'the truth vibration'. A big challenge for so many as it will bring the separate self into line ... and force the majority to acknowledge the false ego and all of its tribulations. For the spiritual travellers, the truth vibration is going to reveal all of the falsehoods associated with mysticism and true magick. This includes the deceptions around the glamours of 'guides' and 'angels'. All is strictly not as it seems. The connections with 'the other realms' are arriving at their strongest for eons. In order for souls to be able to attract & benefit from these connections, they must be 'cleansed' by the truth vibrations. This includes losing the need for the traditions and glamours of the New Age. It means all who are truly walking the spiritual path ... must shed the baggage they have been carrying along their journey to date ...! They must truly be prepared to be 'open minded' and be prepared to see the 'spirit world' as it truly is. First truth to truly accept that 'guides' and 'angels' are NOT what they seem to be ... Mediation - A Definition Of True Contact
In magic, however, mediation has a far more precise meaning, based on the essential truth that all contain divinity or 'the original being' within us. All are also contained within the Being of the universe. In true mediation, any individual can reach deeply into the states of consciousness where transcendent entities can be met. Such entities can be aspects of divinity; god-forms or beings which have transcended human expression and no longer incarnate on this plane.
In mediation, a human acts as a 'focus' or 'gateway' for the consciousness of such transcendent entities. But know this is not the sole purpose or type of mediation found in the magical arts. Mediation is not a matter of passive reception, such as the cliched and superficial process of 20th century 'mediumship', but of clarifying and refining personal modes of awareness. When these higher modes are attuned to inner worlds or beings which are vital to magic, mediation may arise.
Mediation is not a matter of 'receiving messages'. If this was the case then it would be virtually valueless as higher modes of awareness and higher spiritual energies actually transcend verbal communication. A true mediator may be able to translate certain key images of the spiritual realms into words, but the mediator is more likely to act as a channel for a specific energy or power to flow out into the magical circle and more ultimately into the world. Therefore, an initiate working magic, such as rituals or visualisations, may become a mediator through the simple act of ritual pattern making and the controlled use of the imagination. In the magical arts, anyone making a sign, or chanting a mantra, or visualising a symbol, is mediating the power of being through specific and dynamic magical archetypal channels. The more powerful effects of mediation, however, are not usually developed without years of effort and deliberate control.

Introducing Colour Magick
It must be said that not all colours mean the same to all persons and all cultures. The particular symbolism of any given colour can vary widely from source to source. Many books offer different suggestions for colours when used in magick. In addition, there are also colours for astrological signs and planetary or elemental magick, which may be relevant to the time at which your ritual is performed. But always remember, it is best to go from personal impressions & experiences which have been built up over many years of association with colours. The guidance outlined in books can be used as a starting point if there has been no previous experience with a specific colour.
Some magickal systems use complimentary colours combined together, such as red and green, to create an optical illusion that appears to flash when placed together. Such "flashing colours" are said to have great power in attracting the corresponding magickal forces. These can be used in almost any type of ritual or spell work when the visual aspect of the colour is important.
But always keep in mind that, because one colour can have several meanings, when you are using different colours, you should dedicate or "inform" each colour of what it is supposed to be accomplishing.

Unlock Your Inner Magic
Some people find that frequent trips into nature inspire them. Others have a box full of objects — a seashell, an old photograph, or even a collection of rocks — that does the trick. There are as many ways to find inspiration as there are people looking for it. If you already know what inspires you, find a way to incorporate it into your life on a regular basis. If you aren’t sure what inspires you or if it has changed, take some time to think about it. When was the last time you felt the spark of your imagination? When was the last time you acted on an impulse that felt totally right? When we are in the presence of what inspires us, we hear our inner guidance more clearly and we have the energy to follow its cues.
If it has been a while since you have been touched by inspiration,
you may feel listless and dissatisfied. Know that you can turn things
around by remembering what lights you up and bringing that into your
life....<<<Daily OM>>>...

What are Spells and Spellcraft?
You will see on in books literally thousands and thousands of spells for one thing or another but the best spells are always the ones you write yourself (or at least adapt in some way!).
A traditional witch practises magic everyday, casting spells is just ‘something we do’. Just like Christians would ‘pray’ or children ‘make a wish’, these are just the same ideas with different names. We all, no matter what you call it, want something to happen. Because we do not follow any dogma or rede (unlike Wiccans for example) we will do whatever we feel is needed for any particular situation and take responsibility for our own actions. A spell is not bad or good (or black or white), it is the caster who wields the intent and therefore the caster who has the power to sway the spell one way or another.
However, you need to think about what you want to get from the spell. Remember the old saying “be careful what you wish for”. This is very true for spells. Maybe you have written a spell to banish debt or to bring money your way. Have you thought about how that money may come to you? Someone may die and leave you an inheritance. You have to really think about what you want, how you could get it and if you really need what you are asking for at all.
Spells can be as long or as short as you want or need them to be. They can be flamboyant or simple, easy to do or require a full ritual. It is up to you, there are no hard and fast rules to witchcraft, you do what you need to do at any given time. As I said before, magic is a part of you, you can decide how and when you use it.
The one
thing spells should have, and should also be given, the same with magic,
is respect. Don’t be fooled in thinking that all you are doing is
making a flippant request. Spells work, magic happens. Be careful what
you wish for….<<<Read More>>>...

Runic Forecast for April 2023
During this period, you can work out your complexes that you received in
childhood. This will help awaken new energy in us for a more conscious
life. The energies of Berkano allow us to look at our Mother in a
different way, perhaps up to this moment we have imagined her as another
woman. Perhaps we idealized her, or vice versa, we constantly expected
negativity from her. Now Berkano allows you to look at her as a simple
person who has his own shortcomings and virtues. Berkano smoothly pushes
us to change, sends us to adulthood, to opportunities. Just remember
that Berkana can be upside down. An inverted rune can manifest itself in
someone who does not want to notice opportunities, who keeps grievances
inside himself, who does not want to change. If you feel depressed this
month, then you should reconsider your emotional connections. Find for
yourself exactly those goals that meet your aspirations. The Slavic rune
indicates the energy of our microcosm....<<<Read More>>>...

The Brave New World of 1984
“…the term magic comes from the Greek word magos. Magos referred to "a member of a learned and priestly class." Magos itself is derived from the Old Persian word magush, meaning "be able" or "have power.”
If we understand the notion that individuals can use techniques to influence the mental realm, which ultimately leads to real-world effects, we can understand how magic can be used as a tool. And if we take a look through history, we see how this power has been wielded.
When we realize that magic is simply techniques to consciously affect reality, we see that there are many techniques they can use to conduct reality. One of these techniques is the arts, which have been used to shape societies and empires for millennia.
So at this point, we're at a crossroads in our perspective of reality. We have this orthodox view that's been told that "this is how the world works." You know we vote, governments make changes, we pay taxes, etc., etc. However, look at this unorthodox view of reality. In that case, we live in an oligarchical society that uses the government as a front to paint the mental illusion of choice. We have the arts, education, and media to reinforce this illusion of reality, and this manifests as the society that we live in.
If you accept this unorthodox view, you understand that magic – deliberate influence of the mental realm for physical manifestations – is a part of reality and, ultimately, a part of nature. And if that is the case, can we tap into this natural aspect of reality?...<<<Read More>>>....

A Word on 'Alchemy'
In ancient times, the quest to create the magical Philosopher’s Stone – the divine elixir which was believed to have the power to change anything to gold and that carried magical properties of imparting immortality to humans, escalated the alchemist activities and the study of alchemy. Alchemy is defined as “A medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life.” In alchemy, it was mandatory to use symbols to represent an idea, and individual alchemists used different symbols to depict one idea. Symbols were seen as part of a whole emblem and an emblem was the core of a complex process. Mostly symbols of planets, elements and animals were used to mention or create a new idea....<<<Read More>>>...

What Is Magic?
These energies of nature exist in all things, all solid matter is made of atoms, sub-atom particles, below this level is pure energy. At the this level of pure energy, there is no solid matter, here everything is connected by threads of energy.
Magic is the control and manipulation of these threads of energy,
this energy exists at all levels and planes, so by creating changes to
these energy threads causes effects to occur within the physical plane.
Magic allows you to alter this energy reality to bring about changes in
the material reality, conversely altering your material worlds causes
changes to the energy reality....<<<Read More>>>....

Blackthorn
To Witches, it often represents the dark side of the Craft. It is a sacred tree to the Dark, or Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess, and represents the Waning and Dark Moons. Blackthorn is known as ‘the increaser and keeper of dark secrets’.
The tree is linked with warfare, wounding and death, associated with the Scottish Cailleach – the Crone of Death, and the Irish Morrigan. In Scotland, winter begins when the Cailleach (also the Goddess of Winter) strikes the ground with Her Blackthorn staff.
According to Christian folklore, Blackthorn is seen as a sinister tree and associated with Witches. Blackthorn was often used for ‘binding and blasting’. A black rod is a Blackthorn wand with fixed thorns on the end, used to cause harm to others. In British folklore, a Witch will use a Blackthorn in rituals of cursing. The sharp thorns were reputedly used by English witches to pierce poppets in their curses, called the ‘pins of slumber’. In South Devon folklore in England, Witches were said to carry Blackthorn walking sticks, with which they caused much local mischief. Witches and heretics were burned on Blackthorn pyres. The Devil was said, in medieval times, to prick his follower’s fingers with the thorn of a Blackthorn tree.
Blackthorn is also associated with Witchcraft in Scotland. In 1670, in Edinburgh, Major Thomas Weir was burned as a Witch along with his most powerful magical tool – a Blackthorn staff, carved with a Satyrs head, which was said to have fantastic powers – it was even able to fly through the air. Major Weir claimed that he received this magic staff from the Devil, but it is more likely that he obtained it while he served as an officer under General Leslie in Ireland. The Major was a pious Covenanter, and people came from miles around to hear his sermons. He was considered the ‘Saint of West Bow’, until one day in 1670, instead of his usual sermon, he confessed years of debauchery with his sister, Jean, to the congregation. Brother and sister were both tried and condemned to death. His ghost, along with the infamous Blackthorn staff, is still said to haunt the Edinburgh West Bow district.
The Irish cudgel is called a bata, or more popularly, a shillelagh, (named for the Shillelagh forest near Arklow, in County Wicklow). Every young boy was trained to defend himself with this Irish fighting stick. Although sometimes made from Oak, Ash or Holly, the shillelagh is usually made from Blackthorn, which is hard, strong, plentiful, and has a convenient knob formed from the root of the shrub. The black bark is especially tough. The wood was cured by burying it in a dung heap or smearing it with butter, then placing it in the chimney.
Blackthorn can be used in spells of protection as well. In Irish tales, heroes were aided by the Blackthorn tree – if they threw a twig of Blackthorn after them, it would take root and form an impenetrable hedge or woods, thwarting the pursuing giant. In England Witches would carve the Norse rune thorn on a Blackthorn stave for protection. Often in fairytales, such as ‘Sleeping Beauty’, Blackthorn forms the thick, impenetrable thorn bramble that hides the magic castle from intruders and princes alike! In order to prove worthy, the prince must cut through this thorn forest to rescue the princess....<<<Read More...>>>...
