5 Ways To Grow Your Intuitive Muscle

 Everyone has it.

Some use it more often than others and some don’t even realise they are using it when they are. Some find it harder to tap into and others let it guide every decision in their life.

But let it be known, intuition is within all of us.

Intuition is often a feeling inside that is sometimes dismissed as coincidence, pure chance or a fleeting thought in our imaginations.

In reality, when truly present and tapped into our self, our intuition again and again leads us to exactly where we need to be.

Growing your intuitive muscle is really important — it is a way to understand and get to know yourself on a deeper level. It can help you live from your truth, your core desires, values, ethics, authenticity and consciousness at all times.

Intuition is not just that ‘gut feeling’ — it can come in many forms: flashes of insight, imagery visions, dreams, that déjà vu feeling, that shiver down the spine, a glimpse of the future, inner wisdom (I like to call her my inner Goddess) and strong voices or thoughts of knowing something already before it even happens.

Honing and tuning into your intuition is a channel to your subconscious mind. The knowledge and foresight that is held within you comes through those intense feelings of understanding a desire, an instant decision made or feeling something needs to be done or said without knowing why.

You will know you are using your intuition when it just ‘feels right’. There is this strong sense that hurries us from within. The feelings that arise day to day and give you that gut knowing. You may not entirely understand what is happening or why it is happening in the moment, but there is always a reason and direction your intuitive self is deciding and taking.

Today I am going to share with you five ways to grow your intuitive muscle so you too can start to tap into that sometimes-elusive intuition....<<<Read More>>>...

Learning To Follow

This article only applies to children who can truly think for themselves and are not brainwashed or sub-consciously influenced in sinister ways! Sadly so many children now dance to the Pied Piper's tune and accept fake science as a herd consciousness.

[Daily OM]: As grown-ups, we often approach children with ideas about what we can teach them about this life to which they have so recently arrived. It's true that we have important information to convey, but children are here to teach us just as much as we are here to teach them. They are so new to the world and far less burdened with preconceived notions about the people, situations, and objects they encounter.

They do not avoid people on the basis of appearance, nor do they regard shoes as having only one function. They can be fascinated for half an hour with a pot and a lid, and they are utterly unselfish-conscious in their emotional expressions. They live their lives fully immersed in the present moment, seeing everything with the open-mindedness born of unknowing. This enables them to inhabit a state of spontaneity, curiosity, and pure excitement about the world that we, as adults, have a hard time accessing. Yet almost every spiritual path calls us to rediscover this way of seeing. In this sense, children are truly our gurus....<<<Read The Full Article Here>>>...

'Love Yourself'

"It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others."-- Sydney J. Harris

"We have the need to be accepted and to be loved by others, but we cannot accept and love ourselves. The more self-love we have, the less we will experience self-abuse. Self-abuse comes from self-rejection, and self-rejection comes from having an image of what it means to be perfect and never measuring up to that ideal. Our image of perfection is the reason we reject ourselves the way we are, and why we don't accept others the way they are." -- Don Miguel Ruiz

"There is no freedom like seeing myself as I am and not losing heart."-- Elizabeth J. Canham

"If we could learn to like ourselves, even a little, maybe our cruelties and angers might melt away." -- John Steinbeck

Thoughts to get you Thinking #101

"When you start using senses you’ve neglected, your reward is to see the world with completely fresh eyes." -- Barbara Sher

"There are no guarantees. From the viewpoint of fear, none are strong enough. From the viewpoint of love, none are necessary." -- Emmanuel

"Higher consciousness, enLIGHTenment, comes from meaningful experiences and lessons passed with the understanding that there truly is only one law - the Law of Love. When one leads a life expressing this belief, the mind and heart begin to open to new realities, and other dimensional truths become known." -- Dr. Norma Milanovich & Dr. Shirley McCune

"View money and things not as something you create to fill a lack, but as tools to help you more fully express yourself and realize your potential."
-- Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer

“In the sweet territory of silence we touch the mystery. It’s the place of reflection and contemplation, and it’s the place where we can connect with the deep knowing, to the deep wisdom way.”
-- Angeles Arrien

"Experience is not what happens to a man; it is what a man does with what happens to him." -- Aldous Huxley

What was your peak experience of this past week?
What was your most challenging experience?

Stepping back to review your week can offer many insights. Normally we can't see the forest for the trees. Now back away and see the whole forest. Review your week. Now write a short summary -- whatever comes to mind for you. If action is required, plan how you will accomplish it in the next week.

"Ask the experienced rather than the learned."-- Arabic proverb

"Experience is that marvellous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again."-- Franklin P. Jones

"We we break wind, we should celebrate for sharing a unique event. No two farts are ever the same" - Rod Gleerson

Thoughts to get you Thinking #99

"Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. You can see that when you think how the friends that really listen to us are the ones we move toward, and we want to sit in their radius as though it did us good, like ultraviolet rays."-- Brenda Ueland

How well do we communicate with others? Often, when we are interacting with others, our attention in both speaking and listening is focused on meeting our own needs.

Our communication skills improve when we can open to be aware of the needs of the other person. When we listen, we can release the filters that serve our own needs for security and receive the message with our compassionate heart. And when we speak, we can choose words that the listener is able to receive. True communication happens when we harmonize with the other individual.

"So when you are listening to somebody, completely, attentively, then you are listening not only to the words, but also to the feeling of what is being conveyed, to the whole of it, not part of it."-- Jiddu Krishnamurti

"The first duty of love is to listen."-- Paul Tillich

"The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving."-- Oliver Wendell Holmes

We are all on a life-long journey. It is a search for who we are and why we are here. It is a journey that expands our consciousness.

There is an urge within each of us to move forward in life. It is an urge to become more whole, to find more meaning, and eventually to help others. It is human nature to strive for a sense of well-being.

We all go through the same growth cycles, though our experiences may appear entirely different. By understanding the process of personal and spiritual growth, we can work more effectively with the process, instead of fighting and resisting it.

"We can learn to be the catalysts for our own change."-- Sarah Ban Breathnach

"I wish to be free as the wind" - Frank Arthur Robert Telson.

Mystic Insight for the Day

"Your journey has moulded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don't think that you've lost time. There is no short-cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time."-- Asha Tyson

Thoughts to get you Thinking #68

"The significant business of your life is alive and well, awaiting discovery, within your very soul. You and I were born to come into ourselves as complete and distinctive persons. Accepting this, we build a valuable life."-- Marsha Sinetar

What is the significant business of your life? What is your purpose? Andrew Schneider says that purpose "is more than just having a direction. It is about one's place in the universe. It is the journey of finding that place and being there and living fully whatever that place is. It is your own unique place that nobody else has, had, or will have."

How would you describe your place in the universe?

"We become powerful in the face of our fears when we have a sense that we make a difference in this world. Affirmations of purpose communicate the truth that we are all meaningful participants in this Universe and that we are worthy of giving and receiving love. Some affirmations of purpose are:
- I know that I count and I act as though I do.
- I spread warmth and love everywhere I go.
- I am a healing force in the Universe
."-- Susan Jeffers

"The grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."-- Joseph Addison

"If you play it safe in life you've decided that you don't want to grow any more."-- Shirley Hufstedler

We unconsciously use defence mechanisms to shield us from situations we perceive to be scary or painful. A part of you may want to grow and change, but another part may be resisting because change always moves you into new territory in your thinking and emotions.

If you find you are getting anxious, fearful, angry, frustrated, dismissive or unmotivated, then defence mechanisms are at work. Watch for them and know them to be signs of fear that wants to hold you back. Then courageously move through them.

"I have never been contained except I made the prison."-- Mary Evans

"Woe to the man whose heart has not learned while young to hope, to love ... and to put its trust in life." -- Joseph Conrad

Always trust that you know what's best for you. To move forward in your life, gather information from the "experts," consider how their advice relates to your situation and then act only on what feels right for you. You are the only expert for your own life.

"I trust so much in the power of the heart and the soul; I know that the answer to what we need to do next is in our own hearts. All we have to do is listen, then take that one step further and trust what we hear. We will be taught what we need to learn."-- Melody Beattie

Thoughts to get you Thinking #55

"Since you are like no other being ever created since the beginning of time, you are incomparable." -- Brenda Ueland

Great forces are directing you to conform to the patterns of your society. You have DNA that has been handed down from generation to generation, coding repeated behaviour patterns into your being. You have archetypal energies setting the standards for how you behave as a man or a woman, as husband or wife, as father or mother .... You are immersed in consensual reality, whereby the world around you reflects societal understanding of how life has been and is to be.

At the same time, you have an even greater force within you inspiring you to wake up and recognize the reality of who you are. This force, the creative power underlying the entire universe, is urging you to create brand new standards of reality.

The status quo is blind to our creative power. Create a brand new world for yourself, one that meets your deepest needs, and you will help raise the quality of consciousness of the entire world.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -- Gandhi

Thoughts to get you Thinking #54

"There is a thought in your mind right now. The longer you hold on to it, the more you dwell upon it, the more life you give to that thought. Give it enough life, and it will become real. So make sure the thought is indeed a great one." -- Ralph Marston

Most of our self-talk comes unconsciously from our subconscious. Yet every thought that exists in our subconscious got there through a conscious decision to accept that thought.

We need to become conscious of our self-talk so we can at will choose to replace negative beliefs with positive ones. We have the power to choose an identity we love, but we need to do the work. The process of changing our subconscious beliefs requires awareness, diligence, consistency and repetition.

"Man is made or unmade by himself. In the armory of thought he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself. He also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength and peace." -- James Allen

Thoughts to get you Thinking #53

We have access to the divine realm from which all thoughts are projected into the world. We are constantly taking ideas from the spiritual world and forming them into our own conception of the things we desire. Sometimes the finished product does not satisfy or please us. That is because we have taken the idea away from its true parents, wisdom and love, and let it grow to maturity in an atmosphere of error and ignorance.

In the matter of money or riches we have taken the idea of pure substance from the spiritual realm, then have forgotten the substance idea and tried to work it out in a material atmosphere of thought. It was a wonderful idea, but when we took it away from its spiritual parents wisdom and love, it became an unruly and disappointing child.

Even if without love and understanding of substance you accumulate gold and silver, your store will not be stable or permanent. It will fluctuate and cause you worry and grief. There are many people who "don't know the value of a dollar," with whom money comes and goes, who are rich today and poor tomorrow. They have no understanding of the substance that is the underlying reality of all wealth.

"If you had a friend who talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, would you continue to hang around with that person?"-- Rob Bremer

"A critic is a legless man who teaches running." -- Channing Pollock

"Unkind criticism is never part of a meaningful critique of you. Its purpose is not to teach or to help, its purpose is to punish."-- Barbara Sher

"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha

"The spirit down here in man and the spirit up there in the sun, in reality are only one spirit, and there is no other one."-- The Upanishads

"Everything you see has its roots in the unseen world. The forms may change, yet the essence remains the same. Every wonderful sight will vanish; every sweet word will fade, But do not be disheartened, The source they come from is eternal, growing, Branching out, giving new life and new joy. Why do you weep? The source is within you and this whole world is springing up from it."-- Jelaluddin Rumi

Thoughts to get you Thinking #50

"Many people treat their bodies as if they were rented from Hertz -- something they are using to get around in but nothing they genuinely care about understanding."-- Chungliang Al Huang

"As we explore the extraordinary interplay of energies between the many aspects of our personality -- our needs, unconscious reactions, repressed emotions, aspirations and fears -- with the functioning of our physical system and its capacity to maintain itself, we soon realise how very wise the body is. With its intricately detailed systems and operations it portrays infinite intelligence and compassion, constantly giving us the means to understand ourselves further, to confront issues we are not looking at, and to go beyond that which is holding us back."-- Deb Shapiro, Your Body Speaks Your Mind

"Your body is the ground and metaphor of your life, the expression of your existence. It is your Bible, your encyclopedia, your life story. Everything that happens to you is stored and reflected in your body. In the marriage of flesh and spirit divorce is impossible."-- Gabrielle Roth

"What is always speaking silently is the body."-- Norman Brown

Thoughts to get you Thinking #49

"Emotions are the next frontier to be understood and conquered. To manage our emotions is not to drug them or suppress them, but to understand them so that we can intelligently direct our emotional energies and intentions.... It's time for human beings to grow up emotionally, to mature into emotionally managed and responsible citizens. No magic pill will do it."-- Doc Childre

"By starving emotions we become humorless, rigid and stereotyped; by repressing them we become literal, reformatory and holier-than-thou; encouraged, they perfume life; discouraged, they poison it."-- Joseph Collins

"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you love to do, in order to have what you want."
-- Margaret Young

"Who does not thank for little will not thank for much."-- Estonian proverb

"We can't survive without enchantment... the loss of it is killing us."-- Thomas Moore

"There is one thing that all true spirituality has in common, whether that spirituality is derived from faith, from science, from nature or from the arts a sense of wonder."-- Andrew Schneider

"There are only two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle, The other is as though everything is a miracle. I believe in the latter."-- Albert Einstein

"We live in a world of theophanies. Holiness comes wrapped in the ordinary. There are burning bushes all around you. Every tree is full of angels. Hidden beauty is waiting in every crumb. Life wants to lead you from crumbs to angels, but this can happen only if you are willing to unwrap the ordinary by staying with it long enough to harvest its treasure."-- Macrina Wiederkehr

"Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities -- always see them, for they're always there." -- Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

"One of the saddest lines in the world is, 'Oh come now - be realistic.' The best parts of this world were not fashioned by those who were realistic. They were fashioned by those who dared to look hard at their wishes and gave them horses to ride."-- Richard Nelson Bolles

"The world would have you agree with its dismal dream of limitation. But the light would have you soar like the eagle of your sacred visions."-- Alan Cohen

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."-- Walt Disney
