There is, of course, never a detailed explanation of why companies like You Tube and Facebook delete user generated pages and there is never a reasonable way to appeal for the re-institution of these pages.

The end result of this type of censorship, however, quite likely will not bring about the feared Soviet style clampdown on ideas that challenge the establishment. It’s more reasonable to expect that these companies have fallen pray to monopolistic hubris and will soon see massive declines in viewership, collapsing stock prices and the revolt of angry shareholders. YouTube Is Banning Coronavirus Content That Contradicts The World Health Organization

[Collective Evolution]: YouTube is now actively banning any content that contradicts anything that the World Health Organization (WHO) with regards to the new coronavirus.

Should people have the right to access information openly and freely and decide for themselves what is real and what is fake? Should people be able to examine sources and evidence for themselves and make their own decisions on information?

We are now living in a time where a digital authoritarian ‘fact checker’ is patrolling the internet and censoring content it deems as ‘false.’ Regardless if the content is simply a shared opinion by experts in the field or if the content is backed by credible sources, information and evidence, it is still being censored and removed by YouTube as well as other platforms on the internet like Facebook and Vimeo. Should people not have the right to examine information, check sources, and determine and decide for themselves what is real and what is fake?

YouTube recently announced that they will ban any coronavirus-related content that directly contradicts World Health Organization advice. According to the BBC, “The Google-owned service says it will remove anything it deems medically unsubstantiated.” Chief executive Susan Wojcicki said the media giant wanted to stamp out “misinformation on the platform.”.

Herin lies the problem, whatever they determine to be “medically unsubstantiated” is not debatable, despite the actual fact that many times, it is. The point is, they don’t give you that opportunity. CBS demands that YouTube censor “conspiracy theories” – but who defines them?

[Natural News]: Fake news giant CBS is calling on YouTube to expand its censorship agenda as a means to combat the spread of so-called “conspiracy theories” online. But who, exactly, gets to decide what constitutes a conspiracy theory?

Leslie Stahl of 60 Minutes spoke with YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki during a recent interview, vocalizing her concerns about the threat of not just conspiracy theories but also “hate speech” being posted on the Google-owned platform.

In Stahl’s view, YouTube isn’t doing nearly enough to curb certain forms of free speech online, even though YouTube has been heavily cracking down on “wrongspeak” in recent days, as well as introducing new terms of service that aim to eliminate all channels that aren’t deemed “commercially viable.”

While addressing YouTube’s “tightening” of its hate speech policies, Stahl asked Wojcicki flat out, “Why’d you wait so long?” to which Wojcicki responded that YouTube has “had hate policies since the very beginning of YouTube.”

Wojcicki tried to proceed in explaining what these policies are until Stahl interrupted her with a quip about how YouTube’s hate speech policies have been “pretty ineffective.”

“You’re not operating under some freedom of speech mandate,” Stahl went on to state, emphasizing that “you get to pick,” referring to Wojcicki and YouTube, which types of content to allow and which types of content to ban.

We were informed by a close friend in Australia that they couldn't watch the video as You Tube gave them a notice the video had been removed.

Yet, we can still watch the video over here in the UK? The video must still be on You Tube in order for us to follow the link on both laptop and phone, and watch the video load up? Yet, the censorship only appears to be in Australia & New Zealand?

Natural News: With YouTube recently announcing it’s going to explicitly down-rank Flat Earth videos (and other topics, such as 9/11 analysis videos), I’m affirming today that even though I am convinced the Earth is a sphere, Flat Earth theory videos are welcomed on Brighteon.com because minority views deserve a platform for speech (even if those views are incredibly unpopular or seem bizarre).

This is important to note, because even though I am convinced the Earth is a sphere, I also believe that dissenting views on science, astronomy, medicine, history, psychology, religion and everything else deserve a platform for speech. In other words, I agree with the free speech rights of those with whom I disagree… with certain narrow limits described below.

Brighteon.com is not a platform for Satanism, for example. Since Satanism videos are welcomed on YouTube and all the left-wing tech giants which are actually run by Satanists, there is no organized censorship of Satanism videos. Satanists don’t need an independent platform for free speech, since they already run Hollywood, public schools, the tech giants and much of the left-wing media.

Evil YouTube announces plan to halt people from discovering “conspiracy” videos on topics like natural medicine and holistic cancer cures

Now they are using the algorithms to omit video recommendations that are considered “conspiracies.” YouTube will now use machine learning to hide content that is considered too dangerous for adults to come across.

According to a recent company blog post, YouTube announced they will be “reducing recommendations of borderline content and content that could misinform users in harmful ways.” Targeted topics that will be buried include videos exploring 9/11, the Kennedy assassination, “cover-ups” and “inside jobs.”

They are also cracking down on content that promotes “a phony miracle cure for a serious illness.” Any testimony about a holistic cancer cure will be buried. Any video that dare publish the benefits of natural medicine will be kept hidden. Any cancer therapy that isn’t chemotherapy and radiation will be blacklisted.
