The Lore of Underground "Alien" Bases on Earth Goes Far Beyond Harvard Academics...

 Harvard academics recently suggested that a highly advanced civilization could be residing deep underground or, perhaps in a base inside the Moon.

They published their hypothesis in Philosophy & Cosmology titled, “The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis: A case for scientific openness to a concealed earthly explanation for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.”

The authors, Tim Lomas (Harvard University), Brendan Case (Harvard University) and Michael Paul Masters (Montana Tech of the University of Montana), make the case for the possibility of so-called “crypto-terrestrials” to explain unidentified and unexplainable observations made around the world each year.

They join Harvard Astronomer Avi Loeb, who has been making similar claims of extraterrestrials living among us for the past few years. Let’s not forget about Dr. John Mack, a former head of the department of psychiatry who investigated the UFO phenomenon for decades.

“We're not saying this is right, we're not saying that this is absolutely 100% the case, we're saying these are some potentialities, these are some possibilities to help explain the origin of these beings." Masters said.

Masters is a biological anthropologist who said he was asked to help research potential explanations for UFOs.

Secrecy runs rampant in our world, and multiple investigations have uncovered that trillions upon trillions of our tax dollars are going towards programs that we have no idea even exist. It’s amazing how much money is scraped off of each paycheque, and how much money multiple small and big businesses pay.

We are told that it’s necessary, that this is the money going towards various programs that are responsible for building our schools, employing people for necessary services and infrastructure, among many other things. It’s truly amazing how much money governments rake in from taxes, and it’s even more astonishing how much of this money is funding black budget programs and other programs that aren’t in favour of the people.

Black budget programs include Special Access Programs (SAPs). These programs do not exist publicly, but they do indeed exist. They are better known as ‘deep black programs.’ A 1997 US Senate report described them as “so sensitive that they are exempt from standard reporting requirements to the Congress.”

How much money are we talking about? The most recent investigation was conducted by economist and Michigan State professor Mark Skidmore, alongside some of his graduate students as well as Catherine Austin Fitts, former assistant secretary of Housing and Urban Development. They discovered trillions of unaccounted for dollars missing from the Department of Housing & Urban Development as well as the Department of Defense.

Legend of bottomless hole near Ellensburg grows, but why can't we find it?

What’s the Deal With Underground Bases?

One of the most hotly contested topics in ufology is the issue of underground bases. These mysterious complexes are the subject of great rumour and evidence for them is scarce. Yet, if true, do they point to a sinister plan by the US government in particular, to create a safe haven should global catastrophe occur? Or is the truth more sinister still? So what are the rumours, and are there any hard facts to back them up?

Bases Exist

We know that military underground facilities exist, for certain, and it is no secret. During WW2 and the Cold War literally hundreds of complexes were built which were used for key personnel. In some cases these were used, others remained hidden for years – no need for cheap hotel insurance here, these places were under the radar, and kept that way. The bases in the UK have been extensively researched, catalogued, and in some cases visited, by a fascinating and dedicated group called Subterranea Britannica. The extent of the complexes and their sophistication is sometimes surprising.

Vast Tunnel Complexes

It is not much of a leap of imagination to suppose that the underground bases built today are far more extensive than those of the past, as rumour suggests. Advances in drilling and mining mean that cutting and boring tools are many times more sophisticated and powerful. Bases in the US are said to run for miles, both downwards and cross-country, connected together by a network of railway lines. Fantastic? Possibly. One problem that is often raised as an argument against such an engineering project is what on earth would have happened to the debris from the excavation. Conspiracy theorists believe the answer to this lies in a long forgotten patent for nuclear boring devices, which heats rock to such a high temperature it melts and evaporates, leaving tunnels with glass-like, mirror smooth walls. Witnesses have described just such smooth sided tunnels, and the leading Dulce researcher has evidence that thermo-nuclear tunneling devices do indeed exist.

Dulce, New Mexico

The most famous witness to US underground bases was a man called Phil Schneider. He came forward shortly before his death, before being silenced by another bizarre ‘suicide’. He predicted that he would be silenced by government agents, and the circumstances of his death were indeed bizarre. His widow confirms that immediately after his death government agents raided their house and took away quantities of documents and photographs. Phil Schneider may have had his detractors, but he was in no doubt that the US shadow government were using the underground base at Dulce as a research facility, where they worked with alien intelligences on various military projects. Others have testified that there are genetic experiments going on in the base at Dulce.

Grotesque Experiments

One witness who worked at Dulce describes there being seven underground levels to the base, each one with higher and higher security clearance necessary to gain access. Most workers could only access down to level two. Beyond that anyone wanting to access what was housed there was stripped, weighed and had their weight printed on a security pass. If their weight on leaving did not match exactly, alarms were triggered. The lowest level, with the highest security, was dubbed ‘Nightmare Hall’, reserved for the most terrifying experiments. Human/animal hybrids were said to be created in experiments on this level.

UFO Hunters Silenced

One of the most interesting documentaries on this subject is by the UFO Hunters team in America – the head of MUFON, Bill Birnes, an assistant and a sceptic set off to investigate the claims, with some startling results. Meeting researchers who have spent years investigating the rumours, and witnesses they clearly touched a nerve. After making a link between the base and the high number of cattle mutilations in the area they met a man who had witnessed and photographed an implanted animal/human hybrid. The photographs were shown on the show. Despite being one of the most successful shows on the network, with extremely high viewing figures, UFO Hunters was pulled after this episode. Later Bill Birnes claimed that it was evidence shown in the Underground Bases episode of UFO Hunters that caused the powers that be to get nervous.

Mystery Remains

The mystery of the underground bases, which are said to criss-cross the States, will probably never be known, due to the extreme level of secrecy attached to the issue. Is it inconceivable that governments are working with aliens on top secret experiments away from prying eyes? As always, you decide.

Mind The Gap ... Pine Gap

Mind the gap’ is a phrase delivered loudly and with a strange slow and deliberate delivery at many London underground stations, as in ‘mind the gap between the platform and the train, please’. But this week I have been close to another ‘gap’ that is rather more sinister. I mean sinister, as in global importance sinister. We should ‘mind’ this ‘gap’ even more. I spent a night in Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territories and a short drive from there is Pine Gap, one of the most significant underground facilities on the planet. It is located some twelve miles from the very centre of Australia and began operations in 1966. I was driven out to the base to get a ‘feel’ for the place. That is all you can really do, because you are told to turn back before you even see the entrance to the base. We drove on past the turn-back sign until we could see the main gate, but even that is well forward of the facility itself. I say facility – there is very little on the surface. I had a great view from my aircraft when I flew back to Alice Springs and all you can see are a series of ‘domes’ or ‘balls’ known as ‘radomes’, and a few buildings here and there. Everything else is underground and this ‘everything else’ is massive. It is reckoned to go down at least 12 levels with long tunnels going out in all directions to who knows where. Work is obviously ongoing, too. A resident told me that enormous amounts of concrete are being delivered to the base at this time.All of us in the car that got close enough to see the entrance had the same feeling of being drained of energy and experiencing headaches and I am sure we were either hit by some electromagnetic device or simply that an electromagnetic field is being beamed from the base into the near vicinity. Deep Underground Military Bases (D.U.M.B's)

The US military has built at least 140 Deep Underground Military Bases (known as D.U.M.B.s because the general public is too dumb to realize). Worldwide there are nearly 15,000. Reportedly under construction since the 1940s, these bases are on average the size of a small city, 10 - 30 miles across with an average depth of 4 miles. They are carved out by massive nuclear powered laser drilling machines and connected by underground mag-lev train lines. America’s Secret Prisons for Undocumented Immigrants

'There are at least 186 secret detention centres maintained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) within the borders of the US, according to an article published in the Nation magazine in December. Drawing on a report by Amnesty International (AI) entitled “Jailed without Justice,” it estimates that 415,000 people have been held at these facilities, which are operated under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security as so-called “sub-field offices” of the ICE. Their purpose is to deny undocumented immigrants due process and any means by which they can effectively lobby for their rights. “If you don’t have enough evidence to charge someone criminally but you think he’s illegal, we can make him disappear,” explained ICE Executive Director for the Office of State and Local Coordination James Pendergraph at an August 2008 police and sheriffs’ conference, according to the AI report.' Pine Gap

This facility is located in the Australian out-back, and is one of a number of NSA bases located world-wide within the UKUSA network. Pine Gap is very remote, and seems to have a multitude of functions attached to it. It has been linked to the UFO phenomenon by a number of researchers, and appears to have been the source of the ‘beam’ that appeared on the famous STS 48 footage, causing the anomalous objects, caught on the Space Shuttle’s video camera, to veer off in a multitude of directions.

This has caused some researchers to speculate that Pine Gap is home to ground-based ‘Star Wars’ weaponry, capable of a first-strike against UFOs, or foreign satellites in a low Earth orbit.

Located twelve miles from Alice Springs in Australia’s Northern Territory, Pine Gap is a highly secret communications base run by the National Security Agency. Ostensibly a "Joint Defence Space Research Facility" sponsored by both American and Australian defence departments, Pine Gap serves principally as a downlink for geosynchronous SIGINT (signals Intelligence) satellites. It was established by the Central Intelligence Agency in 1966 and is run jointly by the CIA and the NSA. According to one American observer: "The Australians have accorded the [Pine Gap] facility remarkable hospitality. People and cargo routinely fly in and out, entering and exiting without the burden of customs or immigration checks. The place enjoys almost extra-territorial status."

It is clear that the Americans control this massive facility on foreign soil. This would not be surprising, given the historic arrangement undertaken by the signatories of the UKUSA agreement. Australia appears to be a junior partner of a signals intelligence-gathering operation that is dominated by America and Britain. The odd thing about Pine Gap is its placement. Where the British spy-base, GCHQ, is located on the outskirts of the English town of Cheltenham (and is currently subject to a high profile £600 million redevelopment), Pine Gap’s remoteness is almost akin to Area 51 in Nevada. It’s little wonder, then, that rumours abound about UFO research and development at this facility. It’s low profile might very well be due to the sensitivity of American operations being carried out on Australian soil. It is well known, for instance, that GCHQ and Menwith Hill in England have a strong American presence, but this is acceptable here in Britain because of the ‘special relationship’ between our two countries, especially with respect to sharing Intelligence information.

Would the Australian public at large be quite so sympathetic to an overt American presence in the Northern Territories? It seems unlikely, especially considering the historical legacy of Britain’s atomic bomb tests in the Fifties. America's Fortress: Cheyenne Mountain, NORAD live on

If there are two things that drive the folks at the world-famous Cheyenne Mountain complex crazy, it's the widely held public perceptions that, for one, the complex has shut down altogether, and that it is synonymous with NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defence Command.

Both perceptions, are however, quite incorrect.

For one, the Cheyenne Mountain complex is very much still operational. In some ways, in fact, in a world where existential threats come not from the Soviet Union but from things like natural disasters, cyberattacks, and amorphous terrorist organizations on the hunt for nuclear weapons, it may today even be considered more important than ever.

In its heyday, during the height of the Cold War, it was seen as the nerve centre from which U.S. military operations could still conduct business during a nuclear attack. But today, in the post-9/11 era, a whole new set of operational tenants, including U.S. Strategic Command, Air Force Space Command, the Defence Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency, and the Missile Defence Agency, have moved in. Secondly, while NORAD does, and has always done, business inside the mountain, its operational headquarters moved in May 2008 to the nearby Peterson Air Force Base.

Today, the NORAD mission at Cheyenne Mountain is largely related to training. "Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station is owned and operated by Air Force Space Command," the NORAD Web site explains.
