Brighton Council Ignores Van With Palestine Flag for Months – But Tows it Days After St George’s Flag Added

Brighton Council has been accused of “two-tier” hypocrisy after ignoring a van with a Palestine flag for months only to tow it days after a St George’s flag was added. GB News has the story.

Two Brighton residents have spoken out against what they perceive as discriminatory treatment by their local council regarding the removal of a caravan from a Coldean street. Ryan Bishop and Josh Amble appeared on GB News with presenter Martin Daubney to voice their concerns about the timing of the vehicle’s removal.

“It was there for a good six months and a lot of people contacted the council, they didn’t want to know. It wasn’t removed,” Bishop told Martin during the show.

“The second our cross gets put up, it gets removed straight away. It proves our two-tier society. It’s disgusting”, he said.

The pair argued that the council’s swift action after a St George’s flag was added to the caravan, following months of inaction while it displayed a Palestine flag, demonstrated unfair treatment.

Brighton and Hove City Council has come under fire for allegedly showing bias in its enforcement actions after a caravan that had displayed a Palestine flag for half a year was suddenly removed within days of a St George’s flag being attached to it.

The vehicle had reportedly been parked on a Coldean road for approximately six months without council intervention, despite numerous complaints from residents during that period. However, the local authority took swift action to remove the caravan shortly after England’s national flag was added to it.

“I think it’s an absolute outrage. We’re shut down and silenced and get called far-right and racist when something like this happens. It gets worse and worse,” Mr Bishop stated during his GB News appearance.

The local authority has defended its actions, stating that the caravan was removed under Section 143 of The Highways Act as part of standard enforcement procedures against non-motorised vehicles stored on public roads.

“The caravan was put under formal notice on July 7th 2025. As is our standard policy in these circumstances, we had been liaising with the owner as a first stage, who had assured us it would be moved,” the council said in an official statement.

When the owner failed to relocate the vehicle by the deadline, contractors were hired to remove it. The council emphasised that this caravan was one of three removed from various locations across the city during the same enforcement operation....<<<Read More>>>...

Starmer “Tried to Sack Ed Miliband From Net Zero Brief But He Refused to Go”

The PM is said to have asked Mr Miliband to take over Angela Rayner’s Housing Department as he reshaped his team on Friday.

However, Mr Miliband refused – insisting he wanted to keep overseeing the climate drive.

Sir Keir has pledged a new focus on growth as he tries to get the government back on track amid dire polls.

The premier looks to be tacking to the right with his appointments amid the mounting threat from Nigel Farage and Reform.

Insiders have acknowledged that the Net Zero drive has been holding back activity, while businesses are hoping that reforms to workers’ rights could be delayed or watered down.

New Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden is also set to launch another bid to trim the spiralling benefits bill – after the last effort was humiliatingly killed off by Labour MPs.

Downing Street said the PM is “delighted” that Mr Miliband will continue to lead the Energy Department, but did not deny Sir Keir had initially suggested moving him....<<<Read More>>>...

£25 Million ‘Nanny State’ National Emergency Alert Flops

Another 'compliance test' failed miserably. We'd already switched off the alert setting days earlier. And where we were, in a cafe in a UK shopping centre, when 3pm came and went, there were only two phones sounding the natiional emergency alert ... many others had apparently done the same thing we had.

++++++++++++++++++++

Britain’s £25 million ‘nanny state’ emergency alert to millions of phones has dramatically flopped, with alarms arriving late or not at all and BBC presenters left awkwardly filling airtime. The Mail has the details.

Devices connected to 4G and 5G networks throughout Britain blared a siren-like alarm, vibrated and displayed a warning message for ten seconds at around 3pm – even if they were on silent.

It was the first test of its kind since 2023 and has been criticised over ‘big brother’ concerns over intrusion of the state into private life. …

But in a flop for the emergency system, which will cost up to £25.3 million to fund during its first three years, presenters live on BBC News were forced to fill air time as the siren failed to come through when expected.

Titled “Severe Alert,” the notification which eventually came through read: “This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a UK government service that will warn you if there’s a real life-threatening emergency nearby.” …<<<Read More>>>...

BREAKING: Rayner Resigns

Ms Rayner is understood to be leaving her post as Deputy PM after Sir Laurie Magnus delivered his verdict to Keir Starmer.

The crucial moment came after furious lawyers accused Ms Rayner of trying to make them “scapegoats” for her underpaying tens of thousands of pounds in stamp duty.

Ms Rayner’s hold on her job had been looking increasingly tenuous after Sir Keir refused to rule out sacking her yesterday, insisting he would “act” on the findings from Sir Laurie.

The departure is another massive blow for the PM, already struggling to stabilise his government after a torrid summer of immigration protests.

She also appears to have resigned as deputy Labour leader – a separate elected post – triggering what could be a deeply divisive contest.

The PM’s official spokesman confirmed that Sir Keir has now received the report from Sir Laurie.

“The Prime Minister will read it and act upon it. He has a reputation for being comprehensive and quick,” the spokesman said.

Senior figures have spent the past few days rallying around Ms Rayner since her extraordinary admission that she had failed to pay enough stamp duty....<<<Read More>>>...

Britain is Descending into Anarcho-Tyranny – We Need a First Amendment

Britain is descending into an anarcho-tyrannical state and needs the equivalent of the US First Amendment to protect freedom of speech from our censorious overlords, says Allister Heath in his latest blistering Telegraph column. Here’s an excerpt.

The Left-wing juristocracy doesn’t believe in true freedom: it believes in weaponising the law for social engineering. The ECHR is a useful tool to promote open borders, but it won’t stop Linehan from being arrested.

Starmer felt obliged to defend Linehan, and Wes Streeting went as far as calling for a change in the law, but nothing meaningful will happen. Lord Hermer, the Attorney General, would never allow it. The best we can hope for are tweaks and slightly more liberal guidance for the police.

Yet if the mainstream Left is bad, the far-Left which may soon replace it is worse. Zack Polanski, the Green Party’s new Corbynite leader, said on the BBC of Linehan that “these are totally unacceptable tweets… I think it was proportionate to arrest him”. This is a new development: the rise of a class of politicians who don’t seek to hide their authoritarianism. Many are influenced by woke ideology, which claims that speech is violence, a tool of oppression when in the hands of the ‘privileged’ class of white overlords, and that only the ‘oppressed’ have the right to speak out.

We need a radical break with the past 28 years. The Blairite project must be undone. We need fresh protections for free speech. The police must be retaught liberal values. Its operational autonomy must be curtailed. We must firmly resist digital ID cards as these would further shift power from citizen to state. The Online Safety Act has gone too far, and needs radical reform, as do many other laws. Non-crime hate incidents must be abolished. We need to quit the ECHR, scrap the HRA and return to Law Lords in Parliament....<<<Read More>>>...

Your last chance to stop politicians introducing euthanasia to the UK

Sometime this month (September 2025), members of the House of Lords (possibly the most undemocratic and unrepresentative body in the world) will decide whether to approve the Leadbeater Bill to allow doctor-assisted suicide.

The House of Lords can stop this Bill dead in its tracks. It is a private member’s Bill, and the Government cannot force the Bill through.

The evidence showing that doctor-assisted suicide won’t be painless, dignified or quick is overwhelming.

And you’d have to be naïve and ignorant not to believe that if this Bill is passed then within a short time, doctor-assisted suicide will be available to children, the mentally ill, the poor, the unemployed, the disabled and the elderly.

That’s what always happens.

This is your last chance to have a voice.

Please buy a copy of Jack King’s book `Anyone who tells you that doctor-assisted suicide is always dignified and painless is lying: here’s the proof.’ Once you’ve read it, you will understand the terrifying truth about doctor-assisted suicide....<<<Read More>>>...

Home Office tenders for mass fatality tents – ‘what are they expecting?’ (planning)

The Home Office has awarded a series of contracts to prepare for a ‘mass fatality’ scenario where casualties will need to be treated or stored in huge coronavirus pandemic-style marquees. In a chilling echo of the darkest days of the Covid-19 crisis, large structures are being ordered in preparation for what the department calls “a major incident resulting in a large number of fatalities which could overwhelm existing body storage capacity”.

During the pandemic, the Government and military constructed a series of enormous so-called Nightingale Hospitals after fears were raised that massive casualty numbers from Covid would overwhelm the NHS. As well as treatment beds, huge morgue facilities were also hastily constructed to bolster capacity.

Thankfully, many of the Nightingale facilities remained underused, but similar preparations now appear to be happening once again as part of the Home Office’s “Mass Fatality Capability Resilience Storage Framework”. Reacting to the publication of some of the contracts, Lee Nallalingham, the Interim Branch Chairman of Reform UK, Newham and Tower Hamlets, wrote on X: “This week the Home Office awarded contracts worth over £1m to prepare for a mass fatality event, including capacity to store up to 700 bodies.

Mr Nallalingham added: “What exactly are they expecting?”

One social media user added, “Logistically speaking, this is a good thing, in principle, in terms of progressing with storage in the eventuality something happens…however, it is equally terrifying that someone has assessed current storage and is predicting it is not enough.”...<<<Read More>>>.

Opinion: History will not remember Keir Starmer kindly … if it remembers him at all

Claire Bullivan criticises UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his awkward presence on the world stage, lacking charisma and conviction. He is ineffective in international meetings, including with US President Donald Trump, and is overshadowed by other leaders such as Boris Johnson.

Bullivan questions Starmer’s legitimacy as Prime Minister, noting that he did not win a majority of votes and is governing by default. She calls for his removal due to his perceived mediocrity and inability to lead the country effectively.

There he is again, Keir Starmer, our “Prime Minister,” standing awkwardly on the world stage like the substitute teacher no one listens to, arms hanging like spare parts, and mumbling more waffle than a Waffle House menu.

Watching him is a national humiliation. He looks like an awkward councillor from Croydon who’s wandered into the UN General Assembly by mistake and hasn’t the courage to leave.

We are told he was once a barrister. Really? One wonders if he simply read everything off a sheet of paper while hoping the judge was half-asleep. The idea that this man once convinced a jury of anything beyond what sandwich to order is laughable. Zero charisma. Zero enthusiasm. Zero presence. A man whose speeches sound like they’ve been run through a blender set to “beige purée.”

And now, hilariously, he’s co-chairing a so-called “coalition of the willing” meeting to update allies on White House talks with Donald Trump. Lol, indeed. Trump, who terrifies Starmer so much he quakes in his boots and turns crimson. And the most embarrassing part? Watching Trump swat his quivering pleas aside like a fly buzzing around his Diet Coke....<<<Read More>>>...

US stands up to Great Britain’s authoritarianism, censorship, and speech police

Imagine a world where a silent prayer lands you in court, where a meme earns you a prison sentence, and where the government monitors your social media posts—not for threats of violence, but for wrong-think.

This isn’t the plot of a dystopian novel; it’s modern Britain, where the once-cherished principles of free expression are being dismantled brick by brick under the guise of “safety” and “protection.”

The United States State Department, in a scathing indictment of the UK’s rapidly deteriorating free speech landscape, has sounded the alarm: Britain is no longer a beacon of democratic values but a cautionary tale of how quickly liberty can erode when power-hungry officials decide what truths are permissible. The Online Safety Act, sold to the public as a shield for children, has instead become a sword wielded against dissenters, journalists, and even silent protesters. And if America doesn’t take heed, the same forces of censorship will soon knock on our doors.

The irony is bitter. The nation that gave the world the Magna Carta, that stood defiant against tyranny in two world wars, now arrests citizens for posting memes, jails mothers for social media comments, and threatens prayerful grandfathers with fines. This isn’t just a slippery slope—it’s a free-fall into authoritarianism, disguised as progressive governance. The question isn’t whether Britain has lost its way; it’s whether the rest of the world will follow...<<<Read More>>>....

The Folly of Climate Leadership: Britain’s Net Zero Masochism and the China Mirage

It is one of the enduring marvels of political hubris that a small, deindustrialising island nation contributing less than 0.8% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions believes it can “lead the world” into abandoning fossil fuels.

This belief – sincerely held by Westminster’s political elites on both the Conservative and Labour benches – has birthed an energy policy that combines moral grandstanding with economic self-harm.

The outcome is a textbook case study in how virtue-signalling masquerading as “climate leadership” can hobble an economy while empowering the very geopolitical rivals it purports to outpace....<<<Read More>>>>..

How Sneaky UK Government is Secretly Planning to Tax Workers Billions More: Inside the Biggest Tax Grab in 50 Years

An internal government memo was leaked recently which exposed the deceitful ways workers are being silently taxed more than ever, while the government can simultaneously celebrate that it didn’t raise taxes at all. It’s a devious, deliberate attack on living standards and affordability for the average citizen, and it’s important to understand how this is happening before they wrap it up as a positive for the people of the country.

A letter between Angela Raina, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, discussed ways in which she could collect more tax. Item four on the list stated “continuing to freeze the additional rate tax threshold in cash terms, rather than uprating it with inflation, could raise revenue and will be consistent with the manifesto”.

Despite sounding like it only affects the rich, it actually makes a huge difference to everybody. This is the single largest tax grab since the 1970s, and hits anyone earning more than £12,570 a year. Teachers, nurses, and tradespeople – not just the additional rate tax payers as it would have you believe.

What’s worse than deliberately embracing fiscal drag – a tactic deployed to freeze tax thresholds while wages rise – is that it directly contradicts a 1977 law known as the Rooker-Wise Amendment, which mandates that tax thresholds must rise with inflation every year. Initially, this stopped politicians quietly taking more of your wages without transparently increasing tax rates.

This is not about numbers, or even wages. It’s about trust. The UK is a country already weary from politics, and now the quiet dismantling of a law meant to keep taxation honest is a big warning sign – even Labour’s own supporters are not happy.

Before we go into this, remember that fiscal drag is not a new concept, but the problem here is that tax brackets once legally bound to increase with inflation are being deliberately frozen to trick you into giving the government more of your hard-earned cash. And of course, they aren’t telling you about it...<<<Read More>>>...

Crossing the line: Navigating the national security crisis at the English Channel

The Muslim Brotherhood entrenched in the UK Home Office are to blame for this shambles. They are intentionally permitting this crisis to happen. They want the illegals in the UK.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

British opposition leader Nigel Farage declared a "national security emergency" on Sunday, Aug. 10, following the interception of seven small boats carrying 435 migrants across the English Channel over the weekend.

This brings the total number of migrants crossing the Channel in 2025 to over 26,000, surpassing the 17,638 recorded by the same time last year. The surge in arrivals, largely attributed to organized trafficking networks, has reignited a fierce debate over immigration policy and national security in the United Kingdom.

The latest figures, reported by GB News, highlight a growing crisis that has become a focal point for Farage's Reform U.K. party. In a video released on Sunday, Farage claimed to show a migrant vessel approaching the U.K. from France, with men of military age aboard.

"Illegal migrants can be heard shouting 'Allahu Akbar' as they invade our country," he wrote, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. "These men will now be free to roam our streets thanks to Keir Starmer. This is a national security emergency."

Farage's comments come amid rising public concern over border control and the potential implications for national security...<<<Read More>>>...

One of Britain’s Wokest Councils Has Banned Staff Referring to Parents as Mum and Dad

Merton Council in South London has warned its employees not to make assumptions about a child’s biological parents. Officials say “caregivers” is more appropriate. They have also advised employees not to use the adjectives “young” and “old”. The Sun has more.

Bosses claim not saying the words “mother” and “father” helps to “recognise diverse family formation”.

The council’s 27-page inclusive language guide — obtained by The Sun using Freedom of Information laws — also tells employees not to use “young”, “old” or “mature” for fear of being ageist.

It also advises workers to use “person-centred language” — and avoid gendered phrases such as “man the desk”.

The guidance, drawn up by the debt-stricken council’s equality and diversity team, also warns: “Avoid making assumptions about preferred names or nicknames without asking the individual first.”

Free Speech Union boss Lord Young said: “I’m amazed that Merton Council has time for this nonsense.

“I can only assume fly-tipping and potholes aren’t a problem in Merton.”

A council spokeswoman insisted: “We aim to communicate with understanding and without making assumptions.”...<<<Read More>>>...

American logistics company caught on camera transporting dinghies back to France to help more migrants cross the Channel

In August 2023, Ian Simpson from Stop the Invasion filmed inflatable dinghies being loaded onto a truck in Dover and shipped to France.

Illegal migrants had used these dinghies to cross the English Channel from France and, presumably, the dinghies were now being transported back to be reused, to enable more migrants to cross the Channel.

They didn’t even bother deflating the dinghies before being transported, we guess, to facilitate a quick turnaround for migrants....<<<Read More>>>...

The Cult loves to give power to incompetents to hide its systematic demolition of human society.

Labour is laying the ground for tax reforms this autumn that could spell misery for millions.

From September the Chancellor will be attempting to prepare the country for a difficult Budget that could be held in November, according to reports.

Rachel Reeves must find £50 billion in tax rises or spending cuts to balance the books, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) said this week.

However, she has vowed to stick to her pledge to not raise income tax, national insurance or VAT – and will also keep her fiscal rules preventing more borrowing.

The NIESR said higher-than-expected public sector borrowing and weaker economic growth had left the Chancellor with an ‘impossible’ choice.

The Bank of England also warned that it is likely to slow the pace of interest cuts as soaring food prices caused by Labour’s tax increases threaten to drive inflation to 4 per cent this year.

Ms Reeves has already begun meetings with Sir Keir Starmer to draw up a plan for the Budget, according to The Guardian.

One tax that is almost certain to feature is a rise in gambling levies. The Chancellor said on Thursday: ‘We’ve launched a review into gambling taxes. We’ll set out our policies in our budget later this year.’

Another option that could be under consideration is to target a subsidy paid to High Street banks that costs taxpayers £20billion....<<<Read More>>>....

Homelessness Minister Threw Out Her Tenants – Then Increased Rent by £700 a Month

Labour Homelessness Minister Rushanara Ali threw four tenants out of her east London townhouse before relisting the property for £700 a month more in rent, amid calls for her to resign. The i Paper has the story.

The landlord MP has previously spoken out against “private renters being exploited” and said her Government will “empower people to challenge unreasonable rent increases”.

Labour’s Renters’ Rights Bill, which will become law next year, prohibits landlords who have ended a tenancy in order to sell a property from relisting it for higher rent until at least six months after tenants have moved out.

A source close to Ali said her tenants’ had been told their tenancy would not be renewed and were offered the chance to stay on a rolling contract before she put the house up for sale – and the property was only relisted for rent after she did not find a buyer.

A spokesperson for Ali said: “Rushanara takes her responsibilities seriously and complied with all relevant legal requirements.”

Conservative Shadow Housing Secretary, James Cleverly, called on Ali to consider her position, saying the allegations “would be an example of the most extreme hypocrisy and she should not have the job as Homelessness Minister”.

Last March, Ali rented out the four-bedroom townhouse, less than a mile from London’s Olympic Park, for £3,300 a month....<<<Read More>>>...

The Sinister Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill

In 2023 Tony Blair and William Hague co-signed a report called A New National Purpose in which they reasoned: ‘With science and technology as our new national purpose, we can innovate rather than stagnate in the face of increasing technological change. This purpose must rise above political differences to achieve a new cross-party consensus that can survive any change of government.’

Now, just over a year into a Starmer-led administration, it is striking how many of Labour’s Bills are steroid-enhanced replicas of those proposed by previous Tory governments. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Bridget Phillipson’s inappropriately named Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

Alongside some measures similar to Boris Johnson’s 2022 Schools Bill, its pernicious Clause 4 enables much wider information-sharing through ‘consistent identifiers’ (CI) for every child. These will be assigned to children from birth, and the Department for Education (DfE) is presently trialling the use of their NHS number for this purpose.

Anyone who cares about children’s rights and the wise use and protection of personal data should be highly dubious of the kind of ‘wellbeing’ that this Bill looks set to advance....<<<Read More>>>...

Net Zero: Ed Miliband’s Ponzi scheme

The Net Zero agenda is a Ponzi scheme. Each stage is an abject failure, leading to further grandiose and costly initiatives.

The UK’s attempts to reduce hydrocarbon fuel use have led to importing energy from elsewhere, and initiatives like wind turbines and solar panels have proven virtually useless. The proposed solutions, such as capturing energy from wind turbines and solar panels using batteries, are impractical and will lead to further environmental and economic problems.

The only beneficiaries of “Net Zero” are those who set up the scheme.

I don’t know if children still learn the cumulative rhyme about the old lady who swallowed a fly. Perhaps not, as it could be seen as advocating the exploitation of animals. In case you have forgotten, it goes like this:

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly,
I don’t know why she swallowed a fly – perhaps she’ll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a spider
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her;
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly;
I don’t know why she swallowed a fly – perhaps she’ll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a bird;
How absurd to swallow a bird!
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider…

And on it goes until, in pursuit of the last animal she swallowed, she swallows a cat, a dog, a goat, a cow and a horse. And dies.

I don’t know if our teachers realised, but they were teaching us about a Ponzi scheme where nothing of real value is independently generated, ending in a zero-sum game for investors and profiting only those who set up the scheme.

A similar thing is happening with the Net Zero agenda. Each stage in the agenda is an abject failure; therefore, further and more grandiose stages must be dreamed up with the promise of success. Eventually, people must see through this for the con that it is. But probably too late. We’ll have spent all our money on useless initiatives, our country will be in energy deficit, and our industry – what is left of it – will collapse in the wake of spiralling costs.

It all starts with the maniacal obsession with carbon dioxide emissions and the false belief that this leads to global warming, global warming leads to polar ice caps melting, rising seas and rising temperatures, old folks die, deserts are created and we must all carry an extra water bottle and stay indoors. Sounds terrifying but, as the film ‘Climate: The Movie’ shows, this is all palpable nonsense. Global warming precedes rising carbon dioxide, and carbon dioxide – needed by plants for growth – is good for the planet.

Enter the Net Zero obsession which preoccupies so much parliamentary time and leads to so many international COP forums. In fact, the problem of global emissions is so serious that all the attendees, just as they do at Davos, must bring their own private jets with them....<<<Read More>>>...

Town Councillor Who Asked Questions About 300 Migrants in a Hotel is “Reported to Police” for “Stirring Up Racial Hatred”

Town councillor John Edwards, who asked questions about 300 Afghans put up in a local hotel, was “reported to police for stirring up racial hatred”, and has also been placed under “investigation” by a “monitoring officer” at Bracknell Forest Council in Berkshire. The Mail has the story.

The elected councillor began asking questions in April, questioning whether the large number of new arrivals would affect local residents on the housing waiting list.

But instead of getting answers, Councillor Edwards said he was accused of “inciting” hate and spreading “misinformation” against an ethnic group.

The Free Speech Union has now taken up his case, calling it a “chilling” example of democracy being suppressed.

It has since been revealed there was a huge official cover-up with the Government obtaining a super-injunction to stop the public finding out it had a secret immigration scheme for thousands of Afghans.

The Mail revealed that, while the public was being kept in the dark, ministers were being warned in private their scheme risked “significant integration considerations” including with housing and local services such as education and healthcare.

But when Councillor Edwards – an independent member of nearby Sandhurst Town Council – began asking Bracknell’s borough council a series of questions, he was reported to police by a borough councillor.....<<<Read More>>>....

Gas is Dirt Cheap. Only Politicians Make Energy Expensive

The first homes in the UK to be supplied with electricity from a public network were connected in the 1880s. Over the next century, electrification became something we rightly took for granted but marked an entirely new epoch in human history. Then progress began to falter. The high point of civilisation was in fact its darkest turn, claimed environmentalists, whose ideas began to erode the very fabric of the grid.

The primary fuels of electricity – coal and gas, in turn – had turned the skies against us. The idea of a continuous source of abundant and cheap power has become unfashionable in decision-making centres. And fundamental to their claim is that gas is too expensive and too environmentally damaging. We must accept greater cost and lower levels of service if the planet is to be saved, claim greens. When it is unpicked, what this mythology shows is that the virtues of the grid have already been dismantled....<<<Read More>>>...
