In an emergency press conference today, New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio announced that the city’s health department will be mandating measles vaccines for residents in an area of Brooklyn, amidst a recent spike in cases of measles, with over 300 people affected in this area, 21 of which have resulted in hospitalization.
There are no reports of any deaths from measles in this outbreak.
