On April 6, the British government is expected to introduce new technology for public use that can verify digital IDs. This verification system allows government agencies and businesses to get hold of private data uploaded by users to servers as part of their sign-up for the British digital ID system.
According to recent announcements from the British government, the verification technology will be made available to employers, landlords and letting agents who need the technology to carry out pre-employment criminal record checks, right to work checks and right to rent checks.
The introduction of the verification technology is part of the British government’s digital ID plans
 announced last month. The government claims that the digital ID can 
help U.K. citizens to “easily and quickly prove their identity using 
digital methods instead of having to rely on traditional physical
