In our society we are often conditioned to suppress our emotions, especially negative ones. How often were we told as children “There there, don’t cry” or “ Don’t be angry.” Also, if you have experienced trauma in the form of death, loss, abuse, divorce, relationship breakdown etc, as a way of coping we often suppress or even repress the emotions.In suppressing emotions, science has proven that they are literally stored in a cell somewhere inside the body. When this happens the synapses around the cell stop communicating with the rest of the body and if disease or weakness is going to occur, it will often occur in this part of the body.
