How to Talk to Normies
Party Conference Season is a salutary reminder that it is not MPs who are going to lead us out of the mire. With each hollow-chested speech, it becomes more apparent that more of us are going to have to put our back to the wheel and lean into uncomfortable conversations in order to change the fortunes of this once great nation. I was recently asked to speak to a group of women in Westminster about ‘How to Talk to Normies’. It coincided with a recent report from More in Common and University College London that unsurprisingly revealed 69% of people are afraid to speak their mind. Sadly we quieter folks are going to have to channel our inner Iain Duncan-Smith and turn up the volume. This is a shortened version of my talk on why and how to disagree agreeably...<<<Read More>>>...
Labour Minister Claims That Visions of Britain Based on Warm Ale, Pubs and Black Labradors Are a “Far-Right” Fantasy that “Never Really Existed”
++++++++++++++++++
Labour Minister Jenny Riddell-Carpenter has said that visions of Britain based on warm ale, pubs and black labradors are a “far-Right” fantasy that “never really existed”. The Mail has the story.Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, who was appointed nature minister in July, told a fringe meeting at the party’s conference that she fears the far-Right will launch a battle at the next election using this supposed fantasy.
She said she is kept “awake at night” thinking about how the far-Right will weaponise the countryside at the next election.
Riddell-Carpenter told party members: “This is one of the things I do stay awake at night about, and think about, and fear.
“One of them is that if we don’t make the case for nature, for rural communities, and what we believe rural communities look like, I do believe that the next election is going to be fought on a battle line of nature and rural affairs.
“And there’ll be the far-Right deciding and determining what that looks like.
“It’ll be a vision, a nostalgic vision of Britain, that never really existed.
“It’ll be that warm ale, a black Labrador by your feet in a pub that doesn’t exist, and with symbolism of fox hunting all around them, it’ll be a very far-Right nostalgic vision of Britain that we don’t want to have, [and] never really existed.”
Despite Riddell-Carpenter’s claim that the Labrador and warm ale vision of Britain has never existed, official figures suggest otherwise. …<<<Read More>>>....

The Nutty £4 Billion Scheme to Pipe Carbon Dioxide 120 Miles That Risks Asphyxiating Those in its Path
At a hopefully intact end, the highly pressurised CO2 is then tipped into a former gas hole in the Irish Sea where over time it is likely to escape as the numerous mining caps start to fail. Add in another £4 billion for the whole pointless and potentially dangerous carbon capture project, and it is all in a day’s spending for the Miliband-led lunatics. Small change, of course, for the lying (‘wind is cheaper than gas’), dishonest (‘grid will be 95% renewables in 46 months’ time’) freaks involved in a political attempt to wreck the British economy on the pretext that ‘settled’ science says we should all freak out about the gas of life.
The Peak Cluster CO2 pipeline is in early planning and public consultation stages, and it aims to take the gas from four cement and lime factories in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. It will run through Staffordshire, Cheshire and the Wirral and connect to an offshore storage site in depleted gas reserves under Morecambe Bay. The pipeline is said to be the world’s largest cement decarbonisation initiative, capturing three million tonnes of CO2 a year. This amounts to just 0.00008% of global emissions, or if you prefer fractions, 1/1,266,667. The effect on any global temperature movement can fairly be said to be unmeasurable. In total, the sinister, hard-Left Net Zero minister Miliband plans to spend over £20 billion of borrowed state money to capture equally miniscule amounts of CO2 in a number of other sites over the next 20 years.
But at least impoverished UK taxpayers can sleep easy in their beds knowing they are leading the world in exciting new green technologies....<<<Read More>>>...

How the Left Programmed Young People to Hate
It was less a headline than a rhetorical diagnosis, reflecting the bewilderment at these seemingly senseless acts of terror. Was it the bourgeois world condemned as corrupt by these self-styled revolutionaries, or was it the revolutionaries themselves, who in their righteous fervour appeared possessed by demons?
The question was never one that admitted an easy answer in that moment, and it remains just as piercing in ours. For when, half a century later, Charlie Kirk was struck down in the midst of civic debate, and when voices on the ‘progressive’ Left respond not with horror but with unholy glee, we are forced once again to confront the same ambiguity. Who is diseased? Who is truly sick? The question still hangs in the air, accusing its audience as much as its subjects....<<<Read More>>>...
